Error installing Microsoft Bot framework emulator - installation

I'm trying to install "Bot framework emulator V3" on my PC, but I get "The installation has failed" and then I can't do anything. I've already turned off the antivirus and the Windows Firewall... I don't know what to do, and I don't have any information of the error.

I had the same problem and attempted multiple times to install via the link.
Now I was able to run the emulator by downloading and installing it myself following these instructions:
https://github.com/Microsoft/BotFramework-Emulator/wiki/How-to-Contribute#clone-and-build
None of the other solutions (i.e. running .net fix, etc) worked.

Microsoft Edge Webview Issues

I am trying to install an application on my remote PC using the Windows installer.
The application requires Webview2 to be installed on my PC, and I have it already installed. However the installer tells me that it is not installed. Where do I go from here?
This is what the installer tells me when I try to install the application:
When I check the Add or Remove Programs, it shows that Edge Webview2 is installed, so why is the installer not detecting it? (I downloaded the standalone installer from here).
If you are able to install the Edge WebView2 successfully then there is no issue with the Edge WebView2.
Actually, the issue is with your iManage app installer which is not able to detect the WebView 2 installation.
There could be various reasons why it is not able to find the installation.
You could try to restart the machine after installing the Edge WebView2 and then install the iManege and see if it finds the installation properly.
You could try to check whether the version of the WebView2 you installed is compatible with the iManage app. If not, you need to install the supported version of WebView2.
There are documents from iManage, you could check to get more information on this.

If the issue persists, you could raise this issue to the iManage community or iManage support.
They could provide you with proper guidance on how to install the iManage app.

Can't install Visual Studio "Failed to download installation files"

I've seen other threads about this, but they're all regarding offline installs and certificates. I'm just trying to do the Online Installer (from here: https://www.visualstudio.com/thank-you-downloading-visual-studio/?sku=Professional&rel=15)
And I keep getting this error.
Microsoft chat confirmed that this is an issue on their end.

VS2010 SP1 Installation. “The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable”

Ultimately, I'm trying to install the windows phone app SDK so that I can put an app I've made on my phone.
To do this, I am told I need to install SP1.
When I attempt this I get the following:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable visual studio riaservices.msi"
I download the riaservices.msi and point the dialog to it, and I get the message:
"The file is not a valid installation package for the product WCF RIA Services V1.0 for VS 2010."
I've downloaded the ISO as mentioned in a related post on this website, but I've no idea what I'm doing with that now it's mounted.
Some of the features I've tried to install have asked me to insert the CD which I don't have, I downloaded it for free from a university scheme.
Can anyone help me fix this? It's infuriating beyond belief.
Someone answered the question over on SuperUser, this got a fair few views so here's a link to there:

This is kind of error found while uninstalling programs, I saw this error when I try to uninstall Java. But it is common i-tones, Blackberry software and certain other applications also.
As a Technical Support I met this problem and found a solution for a client PC running with Windows XP.

Windows Phone Emulator is doing complete os boot?

i installed 7.1 beta 2 developer tools in my laptop .while running the solution it's showing "Windows Phone Emulator is doing complete os boot?" i tried so many times as uninstall and re install the developer tools but no use.
Please tell me clearly i am facing that error so many days i am not able to get how to fix that error.
please tell me why that error is occuring and how to rectify that error.
I have had this problem before.
I fixed it by deleting the files in the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\XDE folder and then running a repair on the dev tools installation. I imagine a reinstall would also fix it.

Windows Phone Application Project Type Unavailable in VS2010

I recently had to reinstall the OS on my dev box and I am now in the process of reinstalling various applications. I had previously installed the WP7 SDK without any problems but unfortunately I'm having problems this time around. The only project type I have available in the Silverlight for Windows Phone category is one that I downloaded from the online templates section.
When I try to open it or any of the WP7 projects I created previously I get a "The project type is not supported by this installation." error. I am not sure what I am missing. I have followed the three steps listed here so I've installed the SDK, the Dev Tools and the Dev Tools fix. The installation of VS2010 itself seems to be fine as I can create ASP.NET and Silverlight applications and run them without any problems.
Has anyone encountered something like this before?
Edit: I have installed Service Pack 1 for VS 2010 but that hasn't helped unfortunately.
Edit: I have also re-installed the Windows Phone Dev Tools and that installation reported no errors but I still get no projects under the Silverlight for Windows Phone category.
Try opening a visual studio command prompt and typing:
devenv /ResetSkipPkgs
I have thankfully resolved this. Last night I uninstalled everything and reinstalled again but this time I made sure to right-click on each executable and select "Run as administrator". That seems to have done the trick as my existing WP7 projects are compiling and running successfully and I can create new ones too. I did run into two error messages however -
"Zune software is not launched. Retry after making sure that Zune software is launched". I got around this initially by setting the target to Windows Phone 7 Emulator instead of Windows Phone 7 Device in the target dropdown on the main toolbar.
"Error: Connection failed because of invalid command-line arguments." I got around this by rebooting as mentioned here.
