Is it still working in 18.2.0.00.12? Because I tried it this way and nothing is shown on the page, except the username.
Go to application -> shared component -> Navigation -> Navigation bar List
then edit navigation bar entries where you will able to see option Image/class.
There you can select Application images /Workspace image ,Once you selected and saved details then image will appear in navigation Bar.

Can anybody tell me how to add a preview image when i am selecting a rendering while adding a component in the Page Editor? I just still have there a default sublayout icon. I have the Nicam demo site from Sitecore and there are some images, but I am not able find where I can select that.
When you go to your Sublayouts (/sitecore/Layouts/Sublayouts or Renderings) you can select yours, go to the Appearance section and go to the Thumbnail field. Click the Take Screenshot button there.
You can then select the page you want the thumbnail to be taken from in the Item field, which device to use and click Take Screenshot. After this the page will show up where you can select a section of the page to be used as the screenshot

I have downloaded this template to my joomla 2.5.6 and I'm trying to create a horizontal menu. I have created menu and module that should be displaying that menu. I have set position to user3 (as I've read that is the default position for horizontal menu), but nothing showed up.
The only positions I can see my menu on are "search" and "top-panel".
Can anybody please guide me how to find what may cause the problem?
EDIT: I have renamed the menu to "menu1" and so did with "menu type" and it has showed up. Why? Where's any logic?

Make sure you have set on which pages to activate the menu:
You can find these settings in the module manager > your menu
check the positions using ?tp=1 at the end of your url
log in to your joomla backend.
go to article manager and create an article..
go to menu manager and create a new menu, select your article which will me mostly a single article if you have created others then choose others, such as featured article or others,
then on the same page on required setting choose the article you have created.
save and close..
now go to
module manager,
go to the menu or content menu or horizontal menu,
down below there will be menu assignment,
choose the menu and show to it all pages..

I'm trying to find a tutorial or book, that explain who to make a menu application, like the iPod/iPad menu, with images as buttons, and pages. What i'm trying to do, is a menu, with a Popover window, when an option from the popover is selected, then the menu is filled (with code) with the buttons/images, that can be located in more then a page.

Okay there are two things you can use here:
The Three20 library , which has several extra components you can use as well: repository here
If you want just a view similar to that and nothing else, you can go with myLauncher: repository here
I know there are probably more, but these were the main two I looked at when I went looking for a similar view.
I have been able to disable tabs in a tab bar using the following helpful tutorial.

This only works for mx tabbar. Does anyone know how to do this for a spark tabbar? I prefer the lnf of the spark one. When I try it with a spark tab bar it just disables the viewstack of the tab and not the actual tab.
An alternative solution may just be to make the mx tab bar look like a spark toolbar with the rounded edges. Any ideas on this?

Based on this post in the Adobe Forums, How to Disable a tab in a spark tab bar, your best solution seems to be a custom skin. There is also a 'hack' mentioned at the end, that was posted last month.
Give the control you have with the new structure I think the custom skin makes the most sense.
Problem
I have created a blank report (mychart.jrxml).I cannot figure out how to add a chart to my blank report in the designer view.
What I have tried
I went into the samples folder under the iReport folder of the installation and opened up one of the samples that has a chart. In that example (charts.jrxml) the chart definition is expanded in the Summary section on the left tree navigation bar.
So I go to my blank (mychart.jrxml) file and try to right click "Summary" to see if I can add any type of component but I cannot.
UPDATE
I have noticed that in the main navigation bar the the Palette menu item under tools is empty.
Does anybody know how? Do I have to get the pay edition to accomplish this?
