Cant write or delete two open curly brackets {{ in netbeans - laravel

I am using the PHP framework Laravel, which is the best PHP Framework, however If I try to write two {{ then it does not work, netbeans won't let me!
How can I write {{ in netbeans?
I just notice that I can also not delete them If I copy paste them in!
I can't even undo to remove it.
I am using the latest version of netbeans (8.2).
UPDATE #1:
After closing and reopening the file, it works again?
I think I experienced a strange bug.
UPDATE #2:
Today the same bug happened and closing and reopening did not helped
UPDATE #3:
It is a bug: https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=268719

Try disabling the Knockout JS and AngularJS editor support plugins and restarting.
I had the same issue and found this solution on the bug tracker.
edit: Follow the screenshots attached to disable the plugins. I couldn't figure out how to change the language of my Netbeans to english, so I hope the screenshots are easy to follow.
Step-by-step screenshots

I ran into the same issue, and worse- unable do anything with double brackets or php tags. My suggestions:
Restart It's worked so far for me, but it's not a real solution.
External Editor You can try resolving any offending code in a basic text editor. But again, a bothersome workaround.
Autocomplete Options If you can recreate the problem, you can toy with disabling options under Tools > Options > Editor > Code Completion. (I would assume under PHP.) (I'll update if/when I run into it again.)
Different IDE: I love Netbeans, but support for Laravel just isn't there (yet?).
If you need a PHP Framework, Netbeans is equipped for quite a few. (You can see this under Tools > Options > PHP. You'll note Laravel is not listed.)
If you need Laravel, you may need a new IDE. This list is right off the top of Google, but it lists Netbeans, mostly due to the code completion add-on. https://www.dunebook.com/5-best-ide-laravel-ide-with-laravel-ide-helper/

I encounter this problem too, seems to be a bug on the NetBeans 8.2 as it never happened on my previous NetBeans versions.
A work around on this would be to
open a single curly brace first e.g href="{foo/bar"
close with two curly braces e.g href="{foo/bar}}"
Then go back and add the second opening brace. e.g href="{{foo/bar}}"
Hope it works for you and hope the bug get's fixed asap.

Sharing my quick workaround:
start by typing:
{}
select both braces
drag the selected text (the two braces) with the mouse, so cursor will be between the two braces.
press Ctrl (to copy instead of move)
"drop" it (release the mouse).
you should now have:
{{}}

How to make Ctrl+V work in CLion

I am having difficulty getting Ctrl+V to paste code in CLion (I am using version 1.1.1 for Windows). When I try to paste code copied using Ctrl+C from e.g. a website or another program, it only seems to work occasionally. Usually it pastes a piece of text that was not the most recently copied.
I use other JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm) and have never had any problems with something so basic.
Has anybody else encountered this problem and found a solution to it?
I had the same problem and this is the way I fixed it:
Ctrl+Shift+V (brings up the clipboard history)
Delete all entries
Recopy what you wanted to paste from outside CLion
Try pasting again
Let me know if it didn't work for you so I can see if there is some step you are missing. Hope this helps!
I had the same problem and this is the way I fixed it:
Go to: Settings > plugins and disable 'ideaVim' plugin

get to bottom of page in Chrome with Keyboard-shortcut

I used to get to the bottom of a webpage by pressing CMD+Keydown. Did they remove this shortcut or is it just me?
I know this used to work not too long ago and it's not working since one of the newer versions... (currently Version 31.0.1650.57)
CMD+Keyup still works just fine.
So I finally got around the problem:
An extension I was using got some automatic update, in this it used CMD+Keydown as a shortcut for the extension, which overwrote the default behavior.
The problem hereby was, that the programmer was not done, so he "seized" the shortcut, but was not using it for anything.
Now after more than 2 months, after an other automatic update, the shortcut triggered something in this extension, so I could find out what was causing the shortcut not to work.
Then I just disabled that shortcut for said extension. All working now :D

Unable to set breakpoints in Chrome dev tools, version 26.0.1410.64 m

I need to debug some JavaScript an' I use Chrome dev tools. I'm a newby in JavaScript (just started to learn a couple of days ago), an' at work I could set breakpoints via the Resources pane. But at home for some reason I can't do this: after the click no breakpoint appeares.
I have Chrome version: 26.0.1410.64 m.
What could be the case?
clicking on the De-Obfuscate Source button (i.e. {}) solved this issue for me.
I'm a fool! haha! breakpoints are set in the Source pane )))
It's been a while, but in version 33.0.1750.146, but my problem was that I was on the Sources pane (I'd call this a tab; it's one of the items at the very top of the window), but I was on the Content scripts tab (on the left hand side). I needed to switch to the Sources tab.
To be clear, there are two sets of Sources tabs; one is within the other.
UPDATE 2016-01-07: Now I'm on 47.0.2526.106. The only thing that worked for me today was to close DevTools and re-open. It was a little finicky. It worked once, then stopped, and I had to close the DevTools and re-open again. I saw #johntrepreneur's answer about closing the browser, but unfortunately I have too many tabs open on too many workspaces, so that's too much of a pain, so I didn't try that, although I have to assume that would work.
Other solutions didn't work for me. Had to close and restart browser to be able to set breakpoints again.
This also happens when there is a JS error in your code.
Some sort of weird built in function in windows 10 i think because I did press a few buttons by accident. Some of my keys even stopped working in certain areas of visual studio. F.e the letter "c" stopped working in the find window.
Mine did this and no solution worked, i pressed alt, windows key and function key a few times and my problem went away.
Fixed as follows: For me, the issue stems from having set up Chrome to interact with operating system files. If you set this up, then the fact is evident from a green dot by the file name. At some point, I could not set a breakpoint in a recently edited file. I fixed this by disconnecting the interaction, as follows: When viewing "sources", above the code, there were some file names listed. Clicking the [x] to make the particular filename go away gave a caution message; I proceeded without saving. After that, I was able to set breakpoints for that file.
I also had this problem. However, once I closed the popup message in my browser, suddenly all my breakpoints that I set in that time appeared. Mental note: Don't set breakpoints while your app is showing a popup.
I couldn't find any direct fix for this problem.
It seems that chrome keeps settings of your site stored somewhere whatever you do to clean it. (I tried removing the folder from workspace, closing et reopening chrome etc... and nothing worked).
A workaround is to change your site's url to make chrome consider it a new site

Xcode Code Completion "flicker"

I've recently upgraded from Xcode 4.3 to 4.4 and I'm about to bash my screen in with frustration.
The problem I'm having is with the code completion. As I type a variable or method name, the completion window pops up with the suggestions like it's supposed to. But if I attempt to use the cursor keys to scroll between the suggestions, the suggestions disappear and the cursor moves in the code, not between the suggestions. If I press enter to accept the default suggestion, it again dismisses the suggestions and inserts a return into the code taking the cursor to the next line.
This doesn't happen every time I attempt code completion, but it does occur more often than not. For a given name I'm trying to complete, it either works or it doesn't (e.g. if I press escape to get the suggestions back, it will disappear just as quickly as the first time it disappeared for that line/name I was trying to complete). When I get to the next line of code, it's a whole new bet whether it will work or not. It seems that the closer to the actual completion of the name I am, the more likely it is to actually work and accept the suggestion or move between the suggestions. Sometimes, if I act quickly enough, I can move the highlighted suggestion one or two lines before the suggestions disappear. I'm aware that if you don't select a suggestion quickly enough that it's supposed to eventually remove the suggestions (on the order of several seconds), but this behavior is not what I'm describing. I'd be VERY happy at this point if I had a single second to actually respond and select a suggestion from the pop-up.
So far I've tried a clean of the project, deleting all of the project's derived data, and restarting xcode. All of which don't seem to affect the behavior. Any ideas? I've searched stackoverflow and google and haven't found any other people reporting this problem ...
Thanks for any ideas,
Will
UPDATE:
After upgrading to the XCode 4.6 release version (and 4.5 somewhere in the middle there), this problem is still present ... and making edits in the left/main editor window is still a work-around.
I am seeing the same with Xcode 4.4.1. It seems to be related to where the completion window pops up. Debugger pane open or closed does not change anything here.
When in the Assistant Editor trying in the right pane the completion windows flickers. Same line of code in the left window works fine. Single editor works, too.
Try upgrading to Xcode 4.4.1. I used to have this problem, but I don't seem to have it after upgrading.
If this doesn't solve the problem, a crude workaround seems to be to put a lot of blank lines at the bottom of each file - the problem seems to occur from frequently when the file is scrolled all the way to the bottom.
There is a fix (at least Xcode 4.6.3): re-create the affected file by deleting it. Now create a new file and copy the content to it and drag it into the project - done. Fixes the issue here. It seems to be tied to certain files.

How can you go forward/backward at the file level with Xcode 3.2?

Xcode 3.2 has implemented cursor-level history for the "Go Forward", "Go Backward" commands. Previously these worked at the file level, so you could navigate back and forth through recent files you've been editing. Now they navigate at a more fine-grained level, through the places within files where you have been editing.
The downside to this is if you navigate backwards through the files and make a minor edit, all of your forward history is wiped out, whereas in the past it used to be easy to return to the file you were working on. It also means issuing a lot more commands if you just want to move through files, since you have to skip through all the edit points within each file.
I can't find anything in the release notes or documentation about this new behavior, so does anyone know if it's possible to get the old 'go back/forward by file' commands in 3.2? If not, does anyone have any tips on other ways of easily navigating recent files in Xcode?
Hold down the option key while you click the forward/backward arrows at the top of the code view, this will use the Xcode 3.0 behavior and go back a file at a time.
I had the same question as well and and Rob's answer on holding Option while clicking the forward/backward arrows works well.
I needed a keyboard shortcut though and I've found that Shift-Option-Cmd-left/right works.
From the comments on this blog entry:
Hold down the Option key to get the old file-based Go Forward/Go Back behavior. We rarely change established behavior like this when adding new options, but in this case, the majority of users considered file-level navigation Broken and location-based navigation Correct, based on their experience in browsers and other IDEs. We chose to give what more people considered the “obvious” behavior the pride of place on the keyboard shortcut, but the old way is still there.
-- Chris Espinosa
But like you guys have said, after every keyboard edit, the forward file history is lost. This is incredibly frustrating to me, as this is a feature I have heavily relied on for years, which is now broken. Is there still no fix?
There are Next File and Previous File commands, however their history is also wiped out after an edit. That seems like a bug to me.
This is plain stupid! What's the reason for suddenly change this ? Shift-Option-Cmd-left/right... great, more stupid shortcuts from Apple. I guess I soon have to use Shift-Option-Cmd-Left-Alt-Enter-N for something I use all the time. Can't they just implement a recent file list on ctrl-tab or something, like the Cmd-tab and the app switcher. Why would I want to grab for the mouse when I'm coding ? Still I have to use it lots in Xcode.
Sorry for my rant :)
