Xcode documentation gone - xcode

Just updated to 8.2.1 (through the app store) and now all my documentation is gone.
Whether I use the build in documentation browser or Dash (which I prefer) doesn't make a difference; no documentation is shown.
When I open the settings it just shows the Guides and Sample Code, shouldn't there be more documentation here anyway?
I've checked the locations for the docsets (the app itself and my library) but I see some docsets there.
Also seen questions which explain how you can download them manually (from https://developer.apple.com/library/downloads/docset-index.dvtdownloadableindex), but that doesn't work. Moreover I think Xcode should just download them automatically, as it was before.
Is there some way to make Xcode just download them again?

nobody can get cocoadocs page for swift framework

Trying to post to CocoaPods, but when the project goes through it doesn’t generate docs (site + docs button, instead of expand). Alternatively, when I specify a docs url the docs button doesn’t work either. According to the guides, it seems like jazzy isn’t parsing, but when I run:
jazzy
or...
jazzy —podspec MagicCloud.podspec
…it throws no errors and generates 100% documentation (which is hosted here). At the 404 page, If I select the Alternatively, click… or Potential error info buttons no luck. I’ve tried with and without a .yaml file generated here. When I try to use the following…

So after contacting Orta (the developer) directly, I eventually found out that he had handed the project off to Buddy Build. With their acquisition by Apple, they're holding off on new clients and are no longer offering support to Cocoapods.
As far as I can tell, no new Cocoapods have been able to compile their docs (at least through jazzy / swift), since the announcement January 2018. If anyone knows different, or if things change, please post here. Thanks.

AppleDoc Categories not showing in quickhelp

I've succesfully generated a docset with AppleDoc by following the installation instructions. If i got into XCode Documentation Organiser, everything is there, including the categories:
But when I ⌥-click on one of my category methods I see nothing but this:
I've tried a lot of things but none of these work:
Adding --no-merge-categories
Adding --merge-categories
Changing filename extensions
Restart XCode
Restart macbook
Search google (AppleDoc quickhelp categories)
Search stackoverflow
Search gitHub repository issue list (https://github.com/tomaz/appledoc)
Please help, because I want to generate documentation, and most of my library consists of categories. I'm using the latest AppleDoc (appledoc 2.1 (build 858)), and Xcode 4.6.3.
Edit: are there users actually using AppleDoc? Does the quick help actually work for you? I also note a lack of documentation even though the repository is updated regularly.
It seems nobody else is using appledoc but me. Anyway, it looks like it is a bug in XCode, i have pushed a workaround in github. Comment if you want details.

Installing and Using Pantomime Framework... Pantomime/Pantomime.h not found

I just downloaded and compiled Pantomime for SMTP use in my Cocoa Application. The first issue was that it is old... so I changed the build settings to use the most recent SDK as well as eliminate the old PPC build settings.
After those changes, everything compiled nicely (or at least appeared to do so.)
Next, I installed the Pantomime.framework into the /Library/Frameworks directory per Apple documentation recommendations.
Then, I imported the framework into my project under the Build Phases tab where it says "Link Binaries to Libraries".
So far everything seemed to work as it did with WebKit.framework, and ScriptingBridge.framework.
Finally, I added the following to my code:
#import <Pantomime/Pantomime.h>
I got as far as "Pa" when it auto completed the rest, so it apparently knows what I'm looking for. However, when I try to compile my code, I receive the following error:
Lexical or Preprocessor Issue "Pantomime/Pantomime.h" file not found.
All of the other frameworks seemed to work, but this one does not, and I really don't know why (I'm relatively new to working with frameworks.)
Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong here?

I've never used Pantomime, but this happens to me all the time with Xcode, so although I'm a newbie to development in general I'd wager it's just a bug with Xcode. Here's how I fix it:
In Xcode, hit command-1 to switch to the Navigator's file/folder view.
Reveal the Pantomime.h and .m files in the Finder, wherever you've stored them.
Drag them into the Navigator.
Xcode will prompt you to confirm adding again, and I usually leave it set as is to "copy files if needed".
Xcode will import. You should then delete the old references in the Navigator. It should work fine after that.
I have met this problem.
The solution is setting 'Build Settings' --> 'Header Search Path' Value where your pantomime is. Good luck!

Using Apple's coding examples in XCode 4.3.2 - Base SDK Missing

I'm discovering XCode and iOS development.
Delving into the iOS documentation, I've tried to download and run some of the programming examples.
As an example, I'll use AccelerometerGraph.
If I download the code and try to compile, i get an error message, and I realize that the Navigation panel tells me : Base SDK Missing.
After fiddling around (the existing answers on stackoverflow refer to the Xcode 3.2 answer, which doesn't work) I figured I should go to "Editor > Validate Settings…" and accept the changes.
It "seems" to work, (as in the "Missing SDK" message disappears, and I can compile) but I'm wondering if i'm missing something more fundamental.
Also, I thought if there is such a fundamental change, it would be useful to have it up there in one of the questions.

Go to the project settings and choose "Latest SDK" for the SDK option and that should fix your projects.
And if you want to be super helpful, file a bug with Apple (at http://bugreporter.apple.com) and tell them to update these outdated sample projects to use the latest SDK's if possible.
Not missing something more fundamental. Apple's sample projects have a variety of vintages. Mostly they compile and link under the current versions of Xcode and friends. Some need to be brought up to date. What you found was one that was originally set up for an obsolete version of the SDK and it compiles and links fine with one that was automagically found on your system when you updated it.

Build firebreath plugin with XCode

I used prep script to generate my first plugin project, build the plugin and create a symlink in ~/Library/Internet Plugins/(exactly as the mac tutorial videos show). Every time I start a browser(Firefox, Chrome or Safari) and then close it, Xcode always alerted me that "the project file "~.xcodeproj" is modified but was changed externally. Keep this version or read from disk?"
I just can't figure out why?
So first of all, just for clarity, this is either a cmake issue or an xcode issue, not a FireBreath issue. I have never seen it happen before. The main thing I would try is to delete the build/ directory entirely and then re-run the prep script (which just runs cmake) and see if the problem persists.
If it does, most likely it's something odd with your computer configuration, and specifically your xcode configuration. :-/ I wish I could give you a better suggestion. You're also welcome to drop into the #firebreath IRC room at http://npapi.com/chat and we'll try to help you there.
i flow firebreath doc, create a symlink of plugin to ~/Library/Internet Plugins, but safari and firefox all not load the plugin.
but i cp the plugin package to ~/Library/Internet Plugins, and all browsers work.
