I'm trying to create a new "incident" (case) in by Dynamics 365 instance via the Web API.
In my http request, I don't know which field are mandatory. I tried to only add the title, subject, and customer, but I have a Http 400 error back...
I'm using Postman do try my Http Request. If I send the following json
{
"title": "Case created from Web api",
"_customerid_value": "bb2b6a80-7102-e711-8101-3993bb354ff0"
}
But I had the error: "CRM do not support direct update of Entity Reference properties, Use Navigation properties instead."
So I tried to user the #data.bind trick (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328090.aspx#Anchor_3)
{
"title": "Case created from Web api",
"customerid#odata.bind": "/contacts(bb2b6a80-7102-e711-8101-3993bb354ff0)"
}
I get the following error: "An undeclared property 'customerid' which only has property annotations in the payload but no property value was found in the payload. In OData, only declared navigation properties and declared named streams can be represented as properties without values."
So now I don't really now how to do it. Can we create a incident (in my case a "service Case") through the Web API ?
Thank you
Found the solution. Just need to add "_contact" to the #odata instance.
{
"title": "Case created from Web api",
"customerid_contact#odata.bind": "/contacts(bb2b6a80-7102-e711-8101-3993bb354ff0)"
}

I am trying to fetch data from Google Sheets via the Azure Data Factory. I have a data flow configured, and a Google Sheets Linked Service configured as well. The Google Sheets Linked Service is using an API key that has no Application Restrictions, and for API restrictions, it is restricted to Google Sheets. When I test the connection, it is successful. However, when I try to fetch a spreadsheet using the data flow in debug mode, I get the error:
at Source 'GoogleSheetsOutput': Failure to read most recent page request: DF-REST_001 - Error response from server: Some({
"error": {
"code": 403,
"message": "The caller does not have permission",
"status": "PERMISSION_DENIED"
}
}), Status code: 403. Please check your request url and body. (url:https://sheets.googleapis.com/v4/spreadsheets/<my_spreadsheet_id>/values/Sheet1!A2:B3,request body: None, request method: GET)
I made a service account, and shared the google sheet with the service account e-mail, and I also shared it with the admin on the account, which is where the API Key was made.
Any ideas what I need to do here? I would also prefer to use oauth / service account instead if possible, so I am happy to go down that route if there is some documentation I can follow.
"error": { "code": 403, "message": "The caller does not have permission", "status": "PERMISSION_DENIED" }
I tried to repro this and got the same error.
To solve this, I changed access of my google sheets from restricted to Anyone with the link
It worked and data is previewed without error.
I finished this tutorial https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/tutorials/azure-functions?tutorial-step=5 everything worked fine until i published my azure Functions in my Azure App.
When i try to make the subscription i get this error "Subscription validation request failed. Notification endpoint must respond with 200 OK to validation request". When i test with ngrok i can create the subscription with no problems but when i replace NgrokURL value for my Azure function Url, not. Is that the right way to create the susbcription? Also i tried to create the subscription in Graph Explorer but i still get this message.
As the same question raised in MSFT Docs Q&A Forum and thanks to the Shwetachoudhary provided the solution that helps other community members:
In the following below code,
content type must be text/plain.
body must include the validation token.
CodeSamples
asp .net mvc sample - Specifically look at the NotificationController.cs file
In the method
[HttpPost]
public async Task<ActionResult> Listen()
{
if (Request.QueryString["validationToken"] != null)
{
var token = Request.QueryString["validationToken"];
return Content(token, "plain/text");
}
'notificationUrl' must be able to respond to the request for validation. Make sure the validation token returns as plain/text as well. Refer to the Notification endpoint validation document provided by Microsoft.
Try isolating the code and calling the same API with Postman or Graph Explorer and see the results.
I have web api in asp.net 5 and tried invoke using postman and it successed.
the simple way just wanna consume from bot framework composer. it has been difficult to understand how to send file image through http request post method. ${user.attachments} is variable that user input in bot.
when this scenario got error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
searching for several way it can be implemented using contentUrl but in fact it hidden can not be accessed. Is it possible implement that scenario? any suggest will appreciate.
the problem is that you need change de value to object.
{ "payload": {
"username": "${dialog.selectk.content[0].ticketid}",
"name": "${user.personalname}",
"favoritecolor": "${user.favcolor}",
"profileupdated": "${dialog.userprofileuptodate}" }}
I try to get event list from outlook with using Outlook REST API.
According to Microsoft document firstly; i need to subscribe outlook
Endpoint is: https://outlook.office.com/api/v2.0/me/subscriptions
It needs NotificationURL parameter to send notification when an event is changed.
I should implement a REST API(for NotificationURL) to pass outlook as parameter but i couldn't find any document.
What parameters should get my REST endpoint or what it is type(post,get,put etc...)
i appreciate your help
thank you!
My REST API Specifications that talk with Outlook API
If you wish to get a list of events you do not need to use subscriptions at all. Just use the procedure described here.
Microsoft has push notification api aka webhook for outlook events. For that you need to first register (create subscription for resource) webhook.
check out below code snippet that allows to send notification when any event created or updated on notification url.
doc here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/webhooks#notification-endpoint-validation
POST https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/subscriptions
Content-type: application/json
{
"changeType": "created,updated",
"notificationUrl": "<YOUR-notification api endpoint>/api/notify",
"resource": "me/events",
"expirationDateTime":"2019-03-3T18:23:45.9356913Z",
"clientState": "myOutlookEvents"
}
You can use clientState to verify endpoint request that comes from MS Graph.
MS will POST data in below format
{
"value": [
{
"subscriptionId":"<subscription_guid>",
"subscriptionExpirationDateTime":2019-03-3T18:23:45.9356913Z",
"clientState": "myOutlookEvents",
"changeType":"created",
"resource":"users/{user_guid}#<tenant_guid>/event/{long_id_string}",
"resourceData":
{
"#odata.type":"#Microsoft.Graph.Event",
"#odata.id":"Users/{user_guid}#<tenant_guid>/event/{long_id_string}",
"#odata.etag":"W/\"CQAAABYAAADkrWGo7bouTKlsgTZMr9KwAAAUWRHf\"",
"id":"<long_id_string>"
}
}
]
}
After this you need to get the event from id that received from graph api
I'm trying to explore the Google Identity Toolkit API using the Google API Explorer. The API hints that "No auth required", however when I try to execute a request there is an error message:
This method requires you to be authenticated. You may need to activate the toggle above to authorize your request using OAuth 2.0.
If I try to use the OAuth 2.0 toggle and Authorise the API I get a 400 error:
Error: invalid_request
Missing required parameter: scope
But Google Identity Toolkit API does not declare any scopes.
Please can someone help?
UPDATE:
Further errors I get when using the API Explorer: When trying to execute the getAccountInfo request, I pass a request body with the localId field populated. The response I get is:
400 OK
- Show headers -
{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "global",
"reason": "invalid",
"message": "INVALID_SERVICE_ACCOUNT"
}
],
"code": 400,
"message": "INVALID_SERVICE_ACCOUNT"
}
}
Here is the list of Google API scopes:
https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/googlescopes#oauth2v2
This completely omits Identity Kit.
Tying in a random string into the scopes box produces an error:
I have guessed up that the scope should be https://www.googleapis.com/auth/identitytoolkit by looking at the pattern.
And this scope does not cause an error. So this means it is a valid scope, even though it is undocumented.
That said, I used an API request of:
POST https://www.googleapis.com/identitytoolkit/v3/relyingparty/downloadAccount?fields=kind%2CnextPageToken%2Cusers&key={YOUR_API_KEY}
{
"maxResults": 999
}
And it produced:
200 OK
{
"kind": "identitytoolkit#DownloadAccountResponse"
}
So I will say that I have successfully executed this query while using an undocumented feature. However, it appears that the result from the server is incorrect.
This should answer your question, although the result is simply shining light on a broken server implementation.
I have not reported the bugs / undocumented feature in this answer and would appreciate assistance in that effort.
You may find how to use Google Identity Toolkit from the official site. If you really want to manually try Google Identity Toolkit API, you need to enable the API in your Google Developers Console project, create an ApiKey in the project, and call the API using a command tool like curl. The request syntax should follow the one shown in the Google API Explorer.
