Realtek retask pins in Windows 10 - windows

How do I remap or retask pins in realtek drivers ver. 6.0.1(the latest drivers) in Windows 10?
I know there is something related to registry entries and modifying them, but they just don't apply after a restart. All I wanted to do is just reassign the blue and pink jacks on the back of my computer to be a headphone out and a mic in respectively, currently I have this setup:
Rear Blue: Line-In
Rear Green: Front Speakers
Rear Pink: Mic-In
The front green and front pink are not connected to the motherboard and in the driver settings there is no option besides the BIOS to disable them

I remapped my pins using the registry on Windows 8, but after upgrading to Windows 10, the settings had no effect any more. I found a way to configure it with the Realtek software:
Open Realtek HD Audio Manager (double click icon in tray)
You should see graphics of the pins at the right
Right-click the pin to remap and select first entry in the context menu
Select the desired function
Unfortunately, all settings are lost after a reboot. Maybe it is just an issue on my machine, because I have not done a fresh installation.

It can't be done, anymore, without going back an older driver. The driver simply resets the values every time it is initialized.

radio.garden volume not showing volume control in browser on microsoft surface

I don't know anywhere else to ask this. radio.garden is an aggregator of online streaming radio stations. In windows 10 on various machines, it shows a volume slider beside the play/pause controls. With the same version of firefox on windows 10, and still after upgrading to windows 11, the volume control doesn't show on microsoft surface. I have deleted display and audio drivers and let them update, and I have turned firefox hardware acceleration settings off (even though the settings indicates that it is only for graphics). I have also verified that microsoft edge also does not display the volume control.
What do I need to check next to figure out what's going on? I assume the browsers are using some api that perhaps I have blocked via privacy settings that aren't applicable on desktop or something, or maybe provided by some audio drivers and not others?

How can I monitor Line In input with Realtek audio? (New Windows driver removed option to unmute it)

I connect a MacBook through a 3.5mm jack cable to another computer's line in input jack in the motherboard which has Realtek Audio (Windows). This enables me to use a pair of speakers connected to this last PC and hear both mac and pc through the same speakers simultaneously.
I used to be able to go the Speaker Properties panel and unmute the Rear Input. This way it uses direct monitoring so you don't experience any latency on the macbook's playback.
Some time ago a driver update seems to have removed the Level fader of the inputs together with its mute toggle :O
Now, to achieve the same, I'm only left with this option which introduces latency in the audio playback:
Enabling Listen to this device in the Rear input Recording properties.
So is there another way to regain this functionality?
Is there something like what's suggested in this other question?
Unmute audio input (microphone) in OSX programatically
Basically some command to unmute the direct monitoring of the Line In audio input on Windows, or maybe an app that controls the drivers?
Realtek audio console doesn't provide this option :(
Thanks!
I just had the same problem, but it's not because of the driver. The culprit is the new realtek audio control which has removed the lever for audio monitoring level. You have to use an old version of realtek control panel to make it work.
For example try downloading audio drivers for this motherboard
https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/Z97M%20Pro4/index.la.asp#Download
Unzip it and look for the file RAVCpl64.exe under the Vista64 folder.
Run this and you'll get the good old control panel back! Works like a charm.
I suggest you put a shorcut on your desktop for ease of access.
I just did this and uninstalled the new control panel which sucks.
I wonder why Realtek chose to remove functionality from their software, really bad idea!

Tango power up intermittent. Now nothing

I set my tango down for a couple of months while busy with other things. I charged it for a bit, turned it on and saw the red battery icon. I charged it overnight and saw the green battery symbol. I clicked the power button The splash screen came up, said it was installing updates and screen turned off. That evening I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't do anything. Next morning it turned on - splash screen - white screen, off. Now it doesn't do anything at all. I've tried - volume button and power, both volume buttons...nothing. After instaling window 8 Brightness control not working

After installing new Windows8 ultimate OS.
Brightness control keys are not working of my laptop.
My laptop model is TOSHIBA SATELLITE C660D
I search for drivers but not find suitable and working driver for my laptop.
I have the similar issue and have solved it like this
Just right click --> My Device/Mycomputer ---> Manage --->Device Manager
Then find Monitor open Monitor section
And then right click on Generic PnP Monitor and click enable
Then you will be able to use brightness keys in window 10 and 8
I have similar issue with Lenovo Y570. The software for managing fan speed does not wortking properly - it does not manage fan speed. Try to install soft which manages brighetness for windows 7 and compatibility mode.
P.S. Don't forget to create Restore point first.
Try to rollback driver to Windows default driver.
goto Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Devices - Right Click on Intel Graphics - Click on RollBack - Confirm - Ok.

lcd tv stopped working (dvi to hdim)

I have a dual monitor setup,
1: a computer monitor connected via vga
2: a samsung lcd tv conntected via dvi->hdim cable
Until yesterday, this setup was working just fine. Today when I booted windows 7, the bios & windows loading ... screen shows up fine on my lcd tv
however, when windows loads and shows my desktop, my TV goes blank, and I only get the desktop on my computer monitor.
When I go to "screen resolution" and "detect", I only see my computer monitor listed.
As far as I know, no new display drivers were installed, I am using nvadia gt300.
Also, since the bios/welcome screen does show up on my TV, I can root out the tv/cable being faulty.
has anyone encountered something similar before ?
I had exactly the same problem. I de- and reinstalled drivers, I deinstalled the 11/18 Windows Update, I turned my monitor off and on again at least a dozen times as did I unplug and replug the HDMI cable - nothing worked.
Then, in an act of despair, I unplugged my monitor's power cable, replugged it and.... here we go again!
HTH!
Chris
