I have HP UFT 12.01 installed and using BPT to write GUI automation scripts and then integrate them into ALM 12.53. UFT can connect to ALM using the connection tool in it, but when inside ALM and trying to run a test using the business components I wrote, it gives an error message "unidentified error". And then when trying to open the component from inside ALM using the "Launch HP UFT", but get the message suggesting that UFT is not installed.
I've tried reinstalling both ALM client and UFT and all related components but still get the issue.
I've been through many support boards but nothing can resolve the issue.
I need some help.
Thanks.
Some things to check:
ALM connectivity tool is installed
ALM and UFT are on the same PC
UFT installation setting checked to allow other software to execute tests
Please list all of the locally installed software versions relating to UFT, ALM and their add-ons.

I'm using XAMPP in order to manage locally a website development suite.
Exiting from XAMPP console, clicking on "Quit" button,d I got an error (see screenshot).
I noted the same behavior also quitting by stopping manually web server and/or MySQL server.
Suite is running on Windows 10 Pro, 21H2, build 19044.1526.
Any idea?
Thank you in advance.
Attempting to launch the SQL Server Management Studio set-up exe leads to an icon briefly appearing in the taskbar, before disappearing without any further screen showing up. The task manager does not show any running instance for the installer either.
I have tried various versions of the SSMS installer executables posted on Microsoft's official documentation for SSMS, including version 18.8, 18.7.1, and 17.9.1.
Also tried updating the .NET framework, as suggested here (Why the SSMS-setup-ENU for version 17.8.1 isn't running?), but the latest version is already showed as having been installed.
I did a soft and hard reboot both, without success.
Confused as to how to proceed and install the software now. Any help would be appreciated.
We currently have UFT 14.03 installed on our workstations/hosts along with ALM 12.50.32 installed on our ALM server. We have the HP ALM Lab Service installed on the workstations/hosts to allow ALM to connect remotely and run the UFT scripts on them.
I want to upgrade the workstations/hosts to windows 10 (since 7 is quiet old). But I can't seem to find a windows 10 installer for the HP ALM Lab Service. If there isn't one anymore, how do I get the ALM server to be able to communicate with those workstations/hosts to be able to run the UFT scripts remotely? I need the same setup/configuration we have now with windows 7 on windows 10.
I actually finally found somewhere online we could get a ALM Lab Service installer for Windows 10 that would work.

Downloaded the 64 bit, got everything installed and configured on my windows 10 workstation and everything worked!
So, at work, we are trying to use NCover Desktop for code coverage on a cloud based azure web application.
We are using Azure SDK V1.8 and Visual Studio 2010.
I researched online for answer and found some article a little bit helpful in setting up environment and stuff. Following is the procedure I'm following for this.
Create new NCover project and select auto config
Reset IIS and detect w3wp.exe process
Start application and select/deselect executable.
Problem is, I think VS is running on localhost rather than IIS, that's why even after restarting IIS, I'm not able to detect w3wp.exe process to attach.
how can I fix this issue?
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT:
So, After pointing our site towards IIS - Following is the error messasge I am getting.
I also tried to change port so there is not conflicts.
I am trying to get the Azure SDK up and running on my dev PC and have been having some issues.
I have installed the SDK, tools for VS and am trying to run the samples. Every time I try to run the samples the Development Storage service starts and then the Developer Fabric tries to start. This is where is stops. The Developer Fabric cannot run any websites for whatever reason.
I have followed their checklist for setting up the system and there is not Event messages. I am running under Vista Home Premium with IIS 7 installed.
If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
It turns out my problem is a little deeper than simply Azure not working on my computer.
In order to natively debug IIS apps using windows vista (configured under the project settings) you need to have windows authentication enabled for IIS. This feature cannot be installed let alone enabled under Vista Home Premium under the guise of what home user would want such a feature.
For the average VS 2005 user this is okay there is a hotfix but for me and my fancy VS 2008 SP1 there is no solution.
After becoming supremely frustrated with this issue I posted it as the following Microsoft Connect issue.
