Enabling Developer mode on a webos TV (LG) - webos

Trying to enable developer mode on an LG TV with WebOS via these instructions so I can install the twitch.tv app for webos but I cannot find the Developer App anywhere on my smart tv. Not in Smart World or any other store page I could find.
I've tried looking at similar questions on here but they all say something like "go to the "content store"" or "go to "lg store"" which, for me atleast, aren't a thing on the page where the apps are displayed (smart home, I think?)
I've installed the SDK on my computer incase I need to do something with that.
I'm really confused and would like any help possible. Thanks!

To enable developer mode on LG WebOS TV you need to install Developer mode app from LG Content Store
On remote press Home button
Go to LG Content Store
Search 'Developer mode' on LG Content Store
Install 'Developer mode' app
from this application you can enable Developer mode

Sadly, it seems I am a bit stupid and didn't realise that my TV isn't WebOS. It's netcast.

Floating widget application on LG webOS Smart TV

I want to write an application in webOS as a widget that will be visible(floating) when other applications are running. Is this possible? I am unable to find any documentation related to this.
I'm not sure about it. I'm never see that behaviour in third party apps, only system apps are able to use 'overlay' feature in alerts and notifications dialogues according to WeOs developer site

Which SmartTV can open a browser on boot?

Is there a SmartTV that can open a browser when it's powered on (in EU)? And how can you do it (do you need to hack the TV)?
You can try some "hack" but it is not so easy. I try it for Samsung models (Without tizen OS).
I had to enable running ticker applications in Samsung service menu (Any classic system menu in TV) Then you can set ticker app It should be your easy app where you define something like: "Open webbrowser with some URL".
Another not easy way is using TV with Android but I think, you should also implement some app which open webbrowser.
I hope that it for helpful for you.
All of Samsung's SSSP TV's can do that. But they are expensive.

How to enable developer mode on LG webOS 3.0 TV

I want to test a simple web app on my LG webOS 3.0 SmartTV using the Developer Mode app from LG Content Store and the webOS IDE on my laptop.
I've ensured that my TV and laptop are on the same wifi network and installed the Developer Mode app from the Content Store on the TV. But after I've logged in with my LG Developer ID and password, I can't seem to figure out how to navigate to the "Dev Mode Status" button and enable it.
How do I enable Developer Mode on my LG webOS TV? (Model: 65UF680V-ZA)
I found a solution to my problem in this thread. http://developer.lge.com/community/forums/RetrieveForumContent.dev?detailContsId=FC03095252
It turns out that it isn't possible to navigate in the Developer Mode app with a regular remote control which only has arrow keys and no pointer function.
Luckily I had a wireless USB keyboard with a built-in mouse trackpad that I could use to bring on the screen cursor and ultimately enable the developer mode button.
EDIT: The Dev Mode button can now be enabled by using the regular TV remote control.
The best way is plugged in mouse... or something else with cursor

Is it possible to debug the ShareLinkTask using the emulator?

I'm using the ShareLinkTask in an app I'm developing, however, on the emulator it doesn't appear to do anything, not even pretend to go through the motions. Is this the sign of a bug with my code, or is this just how the emulator behaves?
That's the way the emulator works with this task.
From msdn
Allows an application to launch a dialog that enables the user to share a link on the social networks of their choice.
The emulator does not have any social networks so nothing to share.

iPhone simulator for Windows

I would like an iPhone simulator for Windows. Something similar to this one here:
http://css-tricks.com/video-screencasts/38-basics-tips-on-designing-for-the-iphone/
Note, this is NOT to test iPhone Apps... but rather, to test websites. I know I could just use a browser, but I was hoping for something with a bit more functionality ( specific to the touch interface ) that I could test some web pages on.
I've seen the beta project here: http://labs.blackbaud.com/NetCommunity/article?artid=662
Is this the best option at the moment? The article was from last year, that's why I ask.
Just to add additional information to this post:
found another one for both iphone and ipad: http://code.google.com/p/ibbdemo2/downloads/detail?name=iBBDemo2.air&can=4&q=
Google Chrome now has the ability to "Toggle Device Mode" by clicking the Phone icon in Dev Tools. This gives you a more touch-specific interface than just using the browser, allows you to throttle data, etc...
From here, you can choose the device:
You can do it all online, without a simulator:
http://iphonetester.com/
Keep in mind, it's not a real test on an iPhone, but if you use it with Safari or Chrome for Windows, you'll come really close to how it'll look on an iPhone.
UPDATE: iphonetester.com no longer exists.
That's the best I found: http://iphone4simulator.com/
There is a commercial successor to iBBDemo2 that's available for $40 - http://www.electricplum.com/studio.aspx
