MPLab X IPE won't start - microchip

I just installed MPLab X 3.61. When I try to run the IPE the splash screen displays, then goes away, then nothing else. I am running Windows 10 . Microchip has been no help. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Dennis

I was with the same problem. Today I updated the NVidia driver to play a game and it solved the problem with the MPLAB X.

x11 window delay on OSX

I have a newer generation macbook pro. I have El Capitan installed with the latest X11 release from xquartz. Whenever I try to open up a X11 window, such as just running xclock, it takes about 15 seconds to get the window. If I do the same thing on my work laptop, which has an identical version of OS X and X11, it takes a fraction of a second. I can't figure out what is going on. Does anyone have some suggestions of what the problem could be, or how to diagnose such a problem?
I ended up figuring out that macports had its own X11, and didn't rely on XQuartz. I uninstalled XQuartz, and just used the macports xorg.server for my X11. Still don't know why having both works fine on my work laptop but not on my personal laptop. Oh well...problem fixed.

Kinect 2 on Mac, The kinect is connected to Hi-Speed USB not SuperSpeed

I'm trying to use Kinect2 for a project. But it has a problem that the device is recognised on Hi-Speed Bus not on the SuperSpeed Bus. I suspect that due to this problem, the kinect programm is not able to be opened. The laptop is a Early 2015 Macbook Pro, OS X: Yosemite.
Has anyone come across similar issue?
The libfreenect2 FAQ says if that happens, you should:
try unplugging the Kinect from power source with the USB cable connected, and plug the power again, then verify.
It seems like a combination of Macbook Pro and Yosemite.
The problem was fixed simply by upgrading to El Capitan. The same issue happened on 2 different Macbook pro with Yosemite.
But it worked perfectly on a IMac with Yosemite.

CLion Installation Problems on a Mac

Every time I attempt to open JetBrains' CLion after moving it into my applications folder, it gives me a message saying ""CLion" will damage your computer. You should move it to the Trash." This is on my MacBook Pro and OS X El Capitan. What particularly perplexes me is that every other Jetbrains IDE works perfectly. Any help would be appreciated, as I have yet to find anything whatsoever elsewhere that could solve this.

iSight/FaceTime camera not working after upgrade

right now i am running the OS X Yosemite beta 10.10, after upgrading my OS X i lost my camera, i tried everything in the forums, but nothing helped.
i can't FaceTime, or Skype or anything. normally i would take it in to an apple store, but the closest apple store to me is about 200 miles away.
since i am beta testing OS X Yosemite, i knew i was going to have some problems, but i need this to work
also; i also installed the update 2 days ago as it was recommended in the app store.
(not a hardware problem, was working perfectly before the upgrade and it is not found in the "system info> USB"); also not user specific.
Open your terminal and type this command:
$ sudo Killall VDCAssistant
Now, go to your Skype->Preferences->Audio/Video and you can see the webcam working.
Have a good one!
Apparently, this problem persists even in the recent versions of OS X Yosemite. I also had this problem. So, the answer to solve it is basically resetting the SMC, which Apple provides instructions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
Now, I was not able to sort it even by resetting the SMC in a Macbook Pro 15 mid 2012. At least, not immediately. As I keep a few things connected in the USB ports, I believe it might have been the reason, so I closed all my applications (just in case), turned off the computer, unplugged all the USB and thunderbolt connectors (yes, including the LAN adaptor), as well as the earphone connector to speakers. THEN, reset the SMC (for non-removable battery computers, by pressing and releasing control-shift-alt-power [left shift] simultaneously while connected to power). For me, it worked.
It might be useful to remember that the SMC is the System Management Controller, that takes care of the hardware in a low-level, including i/o, keyboard backlight, speakers, camera... so, if you are going to reset it, it might make sense to release all the possible burden it might feel.
Resetting SMC is the only thing that solved the problem on my MBP Mid-2012.
The issue came about around the time I upgraded to High Sierra.
This issue is solved with the newest update of OSX Yosemite. Just update through the Appstore app and everything will be normal.

MAC OS QuickTime framework SGNewChannel fails for 10.8.4 but works for 10.8.5?

With reference to this question mentioned here SGNewChannel error -9405 on Mac 10.9.1, I am facing the same problem with my code but what's weird for me is that if fails for MAC OSX Version 10.8.4 (On MacBook Air). I have another MacBook with version 10.8.5 and the code works good.
The only difference I notice is with the camera. On 10.8.5 I have the camera named as "Build-in iSight" while on 10.8.4, I have the camera name as "FaceTime HD Camera".
Has anyone encountered this problem with this camera and the OS Version ?
Please guide as to what are the other alternatives possible, or what are the potential solutions to this problem.
I googled much but could not found any solutions / alternatives to get around this problem.
So I request someone with the knowledge to guide me past the problem.
Thanks & Regards

This has to do with the particular version of MAC OS 10.8.4. There is a bug which prevents FaceTime HD camera on MacBook Air to be used by certain application.
Details of the update can be found at
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5815.
Updating the OS version to 10.8.5 will do the trick for me, but I wonder what would happen if I upgrade it to 10.9 ??
Thus, so far so good. Will update to the latest version and test it.
Thanks & Regards,
LazyCoder7.
