I'm having a problem with the backend when I deploy my site to the IIS of my web host, it has no styling. At first I had this problem with my entire site but then I added the IIS configuration code from the documentation to my web.config file in the root map and it fixed the front-end but the backend is still broken. I can still login but there is just no styling, it's a bit difficult to navigate the backend that way ;)
Here is some more info:
PHP version 7.0.19
October system build 419
IIS webserver
This is how my backend login screen look right now
I added some other code snippets that I found on the internet to my web.config file but that didn't solve the problem. Has anyone encountered the same problem? If so, could you tell me what might fix this?
Edit: Chrome Network Tab
To deploying your octobercms to server, you need to change the url parameter in config/app.php file. It's should look like this:
'url' => 'http://yourdomain.com/',
Don't forget it should contain http:// or https:// string.
Hope it helps

I am a student and have created my first Laravel App (A blog app). I have a layout/master view created named app.blade.php in resources/views/layouts folder.
I am using laravel 5.6.
It works perfectly on localhost but not on heroku hosting.
Here is my project structure
Here is my code in home.blade.php
Heroku hosting error screen below
Localhost view
clueless about this problem. I need your support.
EDIT
I solved the problem. I am on a windows system while hosting on a linux platform. So my sweet innocent windows was not updating the "Layouts" on server with "layouts".
But I am with another problem
Regards,
Arpan
but loading /login /register correctly
Now this doesn't end here,
when I type /login with the url it gives me
Now I observe that when i click the link it shows me Not secure connection and displays properly but when typing there is https but not displayed correctly.
Please help me analyse and figure out the issue.

Its because the app was unable to find the file. But everything looks good. can you check if the file exists on remote server.
what are you using to push the files to remote server?.
try running
php artisan view:clear
on both local and heroku
Actually Heroku doesn't support SSL in free tier. So https actually won't work.
Finnaly migrated my app to postgre sql.
Problem mainly was due to the uppercase and lowercase representation of "Layouts".
So my app is Up and Running only with one problem that is heroku doesn't support file uploads. It is not storing any file upload. Searching solution for that but not related to this post.
Thank You
I have a requirement from a client to change the web site Url to a subdomain when they enter the checkout section of the site we are developing for them. For example from www.mysite.com to checkout.mysite.com. We are using UI-Router in HTML5 mode and would like to have the router change the Url to the subdomain instead of going to www.mysite.com/checkout. Does anyone know a way that this can be accomplished? I've also tried using pushState but without success. All of the subdomain suggestions I've tried have not worked. Honestly even if I just put a "fake" url that would work fine too. Changing the Url is more of a visual thing instead of actually redirecting to a subdomain.
After much review I found that this cannot be done because it is a security issue; even switching to a subdomain (which is what I was trying to do) is not allowed.
I used apidocjs to setup the documentation of my asp.net web api app. Everything works fine on my machine when I run my web api in visual studio but not on the server I deployed the app to.
I get a 404 error when I navigate to the index.html generated by apidocjs.
I think it's an issue with IIS.
I need suggestions on how to resolve this?
Ok. Found the problem kind of silly.
I did not include the ~ symbol as part of the path in my anchor tag.
Before I had
I added ~
<li>Docs</li>
<li>Docs</li>
and problem solved!!!
Update.
What I did earlier solved the problem on the deployment i did to my local IIS but not on my remote server.
I had move my static html file into the Content folder of my web-api, edited the link to look like this and the problem was resolved.

Got this from here. Ordinary html links in mvc razor
I have a website that is live and a version that I am working on locally using XAMPP. For some reason every time I try to load:
http://localhost/websitename
or
http://127.0.0.1/websitename
it goes to the internet version. This has only started happening. All services are started. XAMPP is working for all other sites that I am working on locally.
Check your site settings as I believe you're having the url in your website set to the live version.
This can have alot of reasons.
What does your windows host file have for redirect rules (C:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc/host) I assume that you use Windows because you said "xampp", correct me if im wrong)
Check for header(); redirects within your websites php scripts.
Do you have a v-host entry redirecting you to another url in your v-host config of your apache?
Check if you have any hard-coded url's? or redirects? in the project that are redirecting to the live version.
I am trying to develop an web application that takes google address and stores for future use..
I am a little new to codeIgniter and a little help would be appreciable...
I have developed the application in WAMP 2.0..
It works fine there..But when I upload it to a production server, it displays the index page..but as soon as I try to navigate to other pages from the home page it gives a
404 Page Not Found..
You can always check the site here..
The entire application is working fine in my localhost that is in WAMP..
Thanks in advance
it may be to do with case sensitivity in *nix and windows environments.
this link works:
http://www.poimart.com/index.php/poi/create_user
but this doesn't (404s) (no capital P)
http://www.poimart.com/index.php/Poi/create_user
so any references to your pages within your app should have lower case.
Have you checked if any .htaccess file exists in your document root?
