In the Youtube video at 17minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQsvGmnYaUU Jeavon shows how when moving the focal point the image is updated in the Media folder.
I'm currently using Umbraco version 7.7.1 assembly: 1.0.6471.23325 and although I can move the blue dot (focal point), I do not have the 2nd image showing the updated image.
Am I missing something or has this been removed, as I need to keep viewing the image in the browser to see how the image looks
I'm pretty sure you now have to create actual crops to see previews?

I have been using the default photo viewer of mac to perform following workflow. Any suggestion for a lightweight photo editor to get the same results with a few clicks in a windows 10 machine?
Workflow steps:
1. Open photo
2. Copy the entire photo or a partial selection to clipboard.
3. resize the canvas (800x800)
4. Apply a white background by creating a white rectangle on top of the original photo
5. Paste the photo copied photo from the clipboard on the white background. Canvas size remains 800x800.
6. Move or resize the pasted photo, so that it fits into the canvas.
7. Save and overwrite the original photo.
I've just recently started using Gravit designer it's quite awesome tool for templating designs but I'm pretty sure you can work with it for anything especially regarding vector based graphics. It's easy to get the gist of, light weight and you can get it for free on windows 10 just by taking a look at the Microsoft app store. No trials or extra functionality via purchase. Enjoy!
I'm having some issues with images on my site which I'm downloading from an image delivery service.
They're displaying perfectly fine, but the issue comes if a user tries to right click and save the image. The images seem to be leaving off the image extension. Is there any way to force the image to download as, say a jpg? I've looked at the download attribute, but I think that's only valid on links, so it's not valid in this case.
I went to the general tab of my project target in xcode, and changed all of the Launch Images to the ones that I want to see displayed. The preview shows they are the correct ones. I deleted the default images from the platforms/ios/app/resources/splash folder and replaced them with the correctly labeled and correctly sized custom images. AND STILL, phonegap is still using it's default image for the splash screen.
Where is it even pulling that image from? Am I missing a step? I'm using phonegap 3.4.
Hello i think you have change the images in wrong directory. you need to replace images in the below splash folder. i have attached screenshot where you need to change the files.

I have a background image that loads mostly, but half of the time there is a pice missing from the image and you have to refresh the page to get the entire image to show. Could the image I'm using be corrupt or broken? Or could the problem be somewhere else. I am using a mac and google chrome.

I am currently building a new website in WebMatrix, and have successfully added functionality to upload and resize images using the image helper. My question is, does this tool have the functionality to change resolution too? i'm concerned that people will upload pics taken with high resolution cameras, and even though i resize the images, they are still large in file size?
The WebImage helper (if that's what you are using) doesn't incorporate advanced image manipulation features. You can write your own code to change an image's resolution once the image has been saved - or borrow some that someone else has already written, such as the highest voted answer to this SO question on the same topic.
