Test Fragment has options using Right Click to Change Controller and Insert Parent which seems wrong, Is it a bug or is there a special use case for it?
Especially because Logic Controllers aren't allowed (using GUI) to be under Thread Group. Screenshot:
It's indeed a bug, you reported it under:
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=61713
It has been fixed for upcoming version following 3.3:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?rev=1814066&view=rev

I want to visit an url perform some operations then open different url in different tab/window and perform some action in new tab and come back to the previous tab/window and so on. Is this possible in cypress?
Please suggest some solution if possible.
Cypress does not and will not support handling more than one tab/browser, for further read and recipes see: https://docs.cypress.io/guides/references/trade-offs.html#Multiple-tabs
I see two solutions:
Use api request for the operations needed for the external url
Divide the test in different cases
2.1. In before/beforeEach section make preparations needed
2.2. It case for first part in your project
2.3. It case for the different url
2.4. It case for the second part needed in your project
If have some repetitive data that needs to be reused - you can declare it as a variable ouside of the "describe" scope with usual JS code.
I have a JMeter test suite, which is working fine till apache-jmeter-2.13.
When upgrade to JMeter 3.2 and I get below exceptions in non GUI mode.
I didn't do any change in the JMeterscript, why this error is throwing in JMeter versions later 2.13 or in version 3.2?
jmeter -n -t E:\testsuite.jmx -l E:\tmp\RORlogs.csv
Error in NonGUIDriver org.apache.jorphan.util.JMeterStopTestException: ModuleCon
troller:Tracker_List_Artifacts has no selected Controller (did you rename some e
lement in the path to target controller?)
Test was shutdown as a consequence
Add an answer to close the problem:
In earlier versions of jmeter 2.13, it didn't validate the controllers which is disabled.
But from Jmeter version 3.2, irrespective of disabling all the controllers should have proper target values.
Fix the issue by assign proper target controller is assigned to disabled module controller.
Not sure if you've got the exact same situation, but what we've found is that JMeter has a problem where if you have a script with a module controller that includes another script that also has a module controller the file paths may be off and so the module controller of the included script will error.
For example. Say I have 'main.jmx' that has a module controller that points to 'external.jmx'. 'external.jmx' has a module controller that points to 'another_script.jmx'.
'main.jmx' is located in 'Documents/scripts', and this is also the directory we lauched JMeter from. 'main.jmx' has a relative path that points to 'external.jmx'. However, 'another_script.jmx' does not have the same relative path and so JMeter throws an error.
Pro tip: renaming your test elements to descriptive names will make debugging scripts far easier (it looks like you've done this, but this is more for other people reading this).
I am using Jmeter 5* and here irrespective of how many target controller names you modify, you finally need to touch all transactions/module controller from top to bottom once. Its kind of re-associating module controller with target controller. After that its working fine for me.

Hey guys,
I have a strange behaviour and am wondering why this happens:
My managed bean holds three values (selected plant, selected year and selected month). When opening the required page a #PostConstruct method is called and initializes the plant data according to the selected/pre defined plant, year and month. When changing one of these three options data should be updated and displayed via AJAX request. In order to switch to edit mode I can click my button and change one value from true to fals which is indicating whether the page should be displayed in view or edit mode.
Now here is my problem:
My local Weblogic Server (IntegratedWeblogicServer - standard configuration) works as expected. I open the page, see my current data, switch to edit mode, edit & save it. That's all. Works like a charm.
The productive Weblogic Server (configured by a colleague of mine) does some kind of cache I think. I open the page, see my current data, change year value to last year and see the updated values. When clicking on the "edit" button the old values are displayed instead of the updated values. This just happens as long as I do not switch the plant. My current workaround looks like this: open the page, switch the plant and then switch the year. After switching the plant everything works like expected. I can't figure out why the productive machine behaves different than the local machine. Each of the update methods setPlant(), setYear() and setMonth() call refreshValues() and are equal requading JSF definitions. So I don't know if it's a caching problem or maybe a Weblogic configuration problem.
Let me know if you need more information or certain code snippets. I excluded them as it is a lot of code.
Kind regards,
Stefi
Enable http headers debug from browser and monitor the difference in each environment. Also monitor the access.log on each domains server.
I have a problem similar to this question: Wicket: can Checkgroup be Ajax enabled?
I'm using a ListView where each Item has a checkbox. I also have a "select all" checkbox. I am using a CheckGroup, CheckGroupSelector and Check and everything works great. Now there is a new requirement to change the state on some other controls on the page when the checkboxes are updated.
Nicktar's suggestion in the above linked question was the first that came to my mind, too, but I haven't been able to find out how it is possible to use AjaxCheckBox with CheckGroup/CheckGroupSelector. According to the doc you have to use Check.
But in this mail from 2008, Igor Vaynberg also states that it is possible to use AjaxCheckBox in a CheckGroup.
I tried it with just replacing where I used Check with the AjaxCheckBox, but it didn't work, the CheckGroupSelector didn't find the checkboxes anymore.
I also looked into using the onSelectionChanged method in CheckGroup, but I'd like to avoid using this as it triggers another roundtrip to the server, as far as I understood.
Can someone give me a hint? Or is there another nice solution for this?
By the way, I'm using Wicket 1.4.
Why can't you add an AjaxFormChoiceComponentUpdatingBehavior to the CheckGroup ?
From AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior's JavaDoc:
NOTE: This behavior does not work on Choices or Groups use the AjaxFormChoiceComponentUpdatingBehavior for that.
AjaxFormChoiceComponentUpdatingBehavior is the behavior to use with CheckGroups and RadioGroups. If you used an AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior with the onchange event, you'd run into this bug with IE
. AjaxFormChoiceComponentUpdatingBehavior handles this properly, adding onclick event handlers to each of the Checks in the CheckGroup.
As a side note, what Igor stated in that mail, is that CheckBox can be replaced with AjaxCheckBox, not Check. AjaxCheckBox is nothing more than a convenience subclass of CheckBox with an AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior("onclick"), as the sources show.
Short description
I'm getting used to CakePHP right now and am wondering about how to get more debug-information about what is happening inside the framework.
Let me please explain my situation a little more detailed
As you know CakePHP does a lot for you without putting you into the need to write additional code. One example is the handling of models.
I just created a model User and added validation-rules (no other methods). As described in the API methods like save will just work.
After that I created the needed controller and view to add a new user. When I try to add a user from the view I just receive the flash-message The user could not be created. Please, try again. No validation-violations are flashed.
I also did set the debug-level to 2: Configure::write('debug', 2); but do not receive any errors. The error.log inside \tmp\logs is also empty.
I really do want to learn how to solve those issues in the future.
So what else can I do to debug / display inner processes of cake?
Thank you very much for your help!
DebugKit is an official plugin that gives you lots of information on the request, queries and variables produced by Cake:
https://github.com/cakephp/debug_kit
You can also use trace() and other methods in the Debugger to show what is being executed in the background:
http://book.cakephp.org/2.0/en/development/debugging.html
Use a PHP IDE with an integrated debugger. That will allow you to follow execution line by line as it is executed and even inspect variable values as you go. Netbeans is a free one.
