I am trying to connect Kinect 360 with Windows.
What I try:
I try to connect it with Windows 10 (64-bit) and Windows 8.1 (64-bit) (both ware host OS).
I downloaded and Installed the Software Development Kit (SDK).
I downloaded and installed the Kinect for Windows SDK v1.8.
I downloaded and installed the Kinect for Windows Developer Toolkit v1.8.
Then, I plug the Kinect 360 in the electric power and connect it with my Lap Top using the USB 3. I am using a power supply adapter cable for Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor (see the picture below).
As a result, no new hardware ware listed in the Device Manager like no new microphone, no new camera, no new unknown devices.
BTW I am not sure if the Kinect hardware is working at all. I don't know how to check it - there aren't any lighting lights on it. I did some research, but I didn't see any lights on working Kinect 360 on youtube videos. So I don't know how to test whether the Kinect is working (without connecting it with XBOX).
I want to connect the Kinect sensor with the PC machine because I need to do some tests. If there are other solutions with another OS (like Linux-based or MAC OS), I can try it too.
there was the same problem, it shows up as a microphone, I thought the problem was in the kinect itself (I thought it was broken) so it lay on the shelf for 2 years. I updated my PC 4 months ago and it turned out that there is usb 3.0 on my old motherboard, but it is not supported (perhaps 3.2 is needed for it). Now kinect works fine and is being determined
I just bought a new Lenovo Ideapad 5 pro 16ACH6 with windows 11. Immediately noticed that wi-fi speed was incredible slow. The network adapter is Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A. I run the speed test, it starts with 30 Mbps and slows down to 10 Mbps. On my other devices speed test comes out to 200Mbps from the same location.
Link speed : 866/866 (Mbps)
I tried to update drivers and the other solutions what I found on the forums, but the problem was not solved.
It's often something with the router. Try rebooting the router and if issue stays check by connecting to another network.
Is it possible to install PfSense on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+?
I found a lot of posts regarding this on Google, but most of them are outdated since both platforms evolved a lot in the past few years.
You can't install PfSense on the raspberry downloading it from the original website.
The problem is that raspberry have an ARM architecture, but PfSense requires an x86-based or AMD64 processor.
So, you can't install it.
Has anyone tested Android Things on the Raspberry Pi 3 model B+ yet?
When I attempt to boot the Pi 3 B+ with an Android Things image, it remains on the initial multi-colour boot screen and nothing further happens. Power is fine and same micro SD card works with Raspbian.
Raspberry Pi 3 model B+ is not yet officially supported by Android Things in contrast to Raspberry Pi 3 model B.
Has anybody managed to install Google Fuchsia (1) on a raspberry pi?
on the Raspberry Pi 3 : https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-3-model-b/
(1): https://github.com/fuchsia-mirror/magenta
fuchsia kernel: magenta is possible to run on raspberry pi. I did it on Model 3b. Please find below link to run magenta on raspberry pi:
Magenta on raspberry pi
Let me know if you get stuck anywhere.
Not possible anymore.
Google removed support for RPI3 from Zircon Kernel(formally magenta). Couldn't find the exact commit but if you navigate at the target/arm64/board tree you will see that the rpi dir is no more.
