OS:
Windows 10
Selenium Version:
3.7.1 (JAVA)
Browser:
Chrome 62.0.3 (64bit)
Chrome driver 2.33.0
After upgrading to Selenium 3.7.1 and chrome driver 2.33.0 my tests are failing due to a Class not found exception on the gson jar. I can see the jar in my maven dependencies. I can get around this issue from inside my eclipse environment by adding the gson as an external jar but this limits me to only running from the IDE.
Has anyone else seen this issue or can anyone see where I'm gone wrong? As gson is included as a dependency of selenium I presume I shouldn't have to add the dependency to my pom. Any help would be great, thanks in advance

Donagh

These drivers are transitive dependencies of selenium-java, so there are automatically resolved by Maven and there is no need to declare them in pom.xml.
If you declare them in th POM.XML, this causes versions conflict of these libraries. Mavens pick a version declared in the POM and ignores the nevest version.
If you are using eclipse, you can observe this on dependency hierarch tab, it looks like this

Is there any missing dependencies?
Your help is appreciated. thanks.
Try adding the below dependency ,if it is not already present in your pom.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-tx</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
</dependency>
From your stack trace it is seen that
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/springframework/transaction/interceptor/TransactionAttributeSource
so the dependency might be missing, or since you recently upgraded the version for spring, this might be causing some incompatible version issues for your Transaction dependency.Try adding the above dependency to resolve that.Check your dependencies to verify that you are not referencing any old jars that pull in this particular dependency, if so check why it is not pulling this dependency after the upgrade.
If you are using spring-boot , then this dependency should be part of spring-boot-autoconfigure or spring-boot-starter-jdbc .
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-autoconfigure</artifactId>
<version>2.1.4.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>
A NoClassDef error is generally when you do have the class during compile time but it isn't present during runtime. Please check your maven dependencies thoroughly for any jar conflicts. This might be a possible cause for the NoClassDef. Check your pom.xml and navigate to the dependency hierarchy tab to verify if you do not see the same jar with different versions twice.
If you have conflicts you can then remove one of them depending on the version that you require.
A project's dependency tree can be expanded to display dependency
conflicts. For example, to find out why Commons Collections 2.0 is
being used by the Maven Dependency Plugin, we can execute the
following in the project's directory:
mvn dependency:tree -Dverbose -Dincludes=commons-collections
Refer Official Doc
Make sure you include only one spring-tx as dependency,if you have more than one added as transitive dependency you can make exception like :
<dependency>
<groupId>sample.ProjectA</groupId>
<artifactId>Project-A</artifactId>
<version>1.0</version>
<scope>compile</scope>
<exclusions>
<exclusion> <!-- declare the exclusion here -->
<groupId>sample.ProjectB</groupId>
<artifactId>Project-B</artifactId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>

I have asterisked few parts.
The parent BOM has a parent element in its POM as below:
<parent>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId>
<version>2.1.0.M4</version>
<relativePath /> <!-- lookup parent from repository -->
</parent>
Progress
From the spring 2.1.0 M1 release notes (https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/wiki/Spring-Boot-2.1.0-M1-Release-Notes) I see that Bean Overriding has been disabled.
The error goes away when I add a property allow-bean-definition-overriding: true in my application.yml file but then I get the following error:

It seems your application is mixing two incompatible versions of Spring Boot.
Your main pom.xml seems to be importing spring-boot-starter-reactor-netty with the 2.0.5.RELEASE version.
You should not override versions of Spring Boot libraries, as it's all taken care of by the dependency management in the parent POM
You don't need the reactor-netty starter at all, as it's transitively brought by the webflux one.
Please don't change Spring Boot version once your project is in between development. Try to add latest version when you start project. Once development started don't change any thing in version. I have faced same problem and wasted 4-5 hours and again went back to previous version everything working perfectly.
Delete .project file and update maven.
I have used JAVA for framework coding.Copying resources taking more time for running code (almost 6 to 7 min). I am running my code using maven command
mvn clean compile test.
I am using below pom.xml for dependency management.

how to reduce the time for execution?
Please let me know any other information required.
If you do a mvn clean compile test than your running parts double etc. It is sufficient just to run mvn clean test. In this compile phase is included.
See more details in the build life cycle documentation.

You need to build "fat jar" with all dependencies included (for example, by using Maven Assembly plugin: example 1, example 2), or specify all additional dependencies as arguments to spark-shell.
Update: Forgot to add that core Spark dependencies should be marked as provided to avoid conflicts.
I'm using the latest version of the atlassian SDK to develop a plugin for JIRA. I've already written a large portion of my code, and have added a handful of dependencies that I required to the pom.xml file of my project (see below).
Unfortunately, upon running atlas-run to start my local JIRA environment, it fails to load my plugin due the following error:
'com.COMPANY.COMPANY-worklog-plugin' - 'COMPANY-worklog-plugin' failed to load.
[INFO] [talledLocalContainer] Cannot start plugin: com.COMPANY.COMPANY-worklog-plugin
[INFO] [talledLocalContainer] Unresolved constraint in bundle com.COMPANY.COMPANY-plugin [167]: Unable to resolve 167.0: missing requirement [167.0] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=com.atlassian.inject)
[INFO] [talledLocalContainer]
[INFO] [talledLocalContainer]It was loaded from C:\Project\COMPANY-worklog-plugin\target\jira\home\plugins\installed-plugins\COMPANY-worklog-plugin-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
I've been plagued with the same kinds of errors for a few days now, including the following: (which I managed to fix by adding the dependency to my POM):
[INFO] [talledLocalContainer]Unresolved constraint in bundle com.maxxton.worklog-plugin [167]: Unable to resolve 167.0: missing requirement [167.0] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=bsh)
I've tried the following things:
Re-generating my plugin with the Atlassian Framework, which worked until I re-added my dependencies
Removing and re-adding my dependencies to see where the error lays. Couldn't manage to find out if there's a faulty dependency or not.
Changing the scopes of my external dependencies (provided-> compile and back, test where necessary.)
Use atlas-mvn clean nearly every time before running my atlas-run command.
Activating my plugin within jira (timeout error)
Researched this question before posting. I'm especially lost because it appears to be a stock Atlassian package that's causing the problem.
My POM is as followed:

Thank you.
Looks like I found a way to fix it, though I'm unsure if it's a good fix. It has something to do with importing certain packages; I'm unsure of the logic behind it, but it seemed to have gotten rid of any and all of the bundle errors, causing my plugin to load perfectly when starting my local environment.
For those curious, I changed my from:
<Import-Package>
org.springframework.osgi.*;resolution:="optional",
org.eclipse.gemini.blueprint.*;resolution:="optional",
*
</Import-Package>
To
<Import-Package>
org.springframework.osgi.*;resolution:="optional",
org.eclipse.gemini.blueprint.*;resolution:="optional",
*;version="0";resolution:=optional
</Import-Package>
