Hi I'm new to SoftwareAG Webmethods, I'm calling a jdbc adapter service and getting the result, based on result I have to validate and suppurate the values and give them as input to another flows. So how can I achieve this.
Thanks
depending what you want to achieve you can:
use some build-in service pub.list:sizeOfList for checking result size
checking using BRANCH'es (with option evaluate labels='True' like picture is showing.
You have some many option provided by webmethods, if you need something more complex java service is good choice.

I need to know how to update the values in nifi processors using Rest API.
https://nifi.apache.org/docs/nifi-docs/rest-api/index.html
For example: I have used below processor structure
GetFile>SplitText>ExtractText>ReplaceText>ConvertJSONToSQL>PUTSQL.
I have passed following inputs for above processors.,
FileLocation(GetFile).
validation(ExtractText).
ReplacementValue(ReplaceText).
DBCP ConnectionPool, username and pwd for SQL.
I just need to use nifi rest api client to write above inputs into processors.
For example : If I give Processor name and input file in Rest API Client then it will write into processor.
Please stop me if anything i'm doing wrong.
Help Appreciated and Tell me any other ways is possible?
Mahen,
You can issue a PUT request to /processors/{id} and provide the new value of the "Replacement Value" property. You'll need to provide JSON body in the request to do this, and you can see the structure by expanding the endpoint noted above on the documentation link you provided, then clicking ProcessorEntity > ProcessorDTO > ProcessorConfigDTO to see the pop-up dialogs with the element listing and examples. You can also quickly get the current values of the processor by issuing a GET request to /processors/{id}.
I'm creating an online game which have to send data between users. I chose Parse as the backend service. How can I use Parse to do this task?
Query for the user that you want to send data to and send data
Take a look a the Parse Docs. What you want to do is documented very well there.
https://parse.com/docs/android_guide
Take a look at saving and retrieving objects.
Also make sure your console (where you can see the "User" class and all your other classes) is set up with the objects you need.
In my Symfony 2 application I need to filter input before passing it on to validation [1], however, I can't seem to find any system within Symfony to do this.
The type of filtering I looking for is e.g. to be able to filter a dash out of a specific field before validating it. E.g. users can enter 123-123 but the only accepted value is 123123. Just as I can set up validation rules with constraints, I'm looking for something similar for filters.

Nifr's answer is good but is missing of an important alternative that, if I understand correctly your question, seems to fit perfectly your needs.
You can use a hook that is pretty much an event listener: if something happens or is going to happen, it intercepts the event and redirect it to your function.
In this case, you need a PRE_BIND hook (is deprecated since 2.3 version, now it's called PRE_SUBMIT)
Read this if you need help about
Either write your own Validation Assert to filter and then proxy the other validators for this purpose ...
... or one or multiple Regex Asserts.
... or use a DataTransformer to transform/filter the input.
With the DataTransformer involved you could aswell consider creating a new FieldType which renders two inputs with a seperator like the date form-field does. ( if not not used with widget => single_text )
I am new to the extJS framework and after looking at these two classes I am curious when it is better to use one or the other. Is one better for submitting and one for getting? In my current situation I am using a grid and the api says to use the proxy.Ajax which I trust. But lets say I want to send the JSON back to a database, would I be better off using Ext.Ajax?
Also I am rather new to JSON I understand that its just a string with regular expressions essentially. What is the best way to send the json straight to a database if I don’t want to store the json locally?
Ext.Ajax is used to make one-off requests to a server. You can use this for GET and POST requests.
Ext.data.proxy.Ajax is used by the data package, in particular, Ext.data.Store's. You cannot use this 'manually'. You must use it via the data package.
Are there are any rules for when to use Client-Side validation and when to use Server-Side?
The right answer is probably use both.
Client-Side validation is faster and should be used as much as you can before submitting the form to the server.
BUT! You can't count on client-side validation since there are easy ways to go around it, so you need to repeat all the validations on the server-side and add new validations if you need (for instance: using database to add more validations etc.)
It is ok to use client-side validation for convenience. You should always validate critical info on the server though, since client's can be circumvented.
What happens if javascript is disabled in client's browser?
So go for Server side validation.... I think there is no rules for validating on client/server... Its upto you and your users....
its better to validate both sides for better peroformance and it would be secured , as it avoids duplicate entry , we would know that, data entered is correct at any point of time . Client side is always good and its mainly for User interface for the user to know the what is right or wrong .
One more thing if we are writing our own stored procedures than its better to write validations on proc side so tht message can be passed through output parameter also .
