How can I inject #PathVariable into a field? - spring

Let's say I have following controller.

Now I want the path be injected into a field.

#PathVariable Annotation which indicates that a method parameter should be bound to a URI template variable.
Examples :

Custom Source presence checking method name in MapStruct

is it posible to generate a custom "presence checking" method name, being a method of the property itself rather the owning object?
I know I can use hasProperty() methods to check for presence of a value...

but with Optional or JsonNullable (from OpenApi nonullable) that checking method is on the property itself, not on the owning object... :-(
I can map JsonNullable or Optional easyly 'using' or extending a simple custom Mapper

I have managed to implement custom lombok extension which generates "presence checknig" methods.
Here is an example project. In short I added #PresenceChecker annotation and implemented Lombok Javac Annotation handler.
It's possible to use it together with other Lombok annotations:

The answer is unfortunately a straight no.
It is not possible in the current version of MapStruct (1.3.1final) and its not on the shortlist for 1.4.0. You could open up an issue on the git repo of MapStruct as feature request.

Converter works for RequestParameter but not for RequestBody field

I have the following converter:

But this converter is never invoked when used for field in the RequstBody:

Your existing org.springframework.core.convert.converter.Converter instance will only work with data submitted as form encoded data. With #RequestBody you are sending JSON data which will be deserialized using using the Jackson library.
You can then create an instance of com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.util.StdConverter<IN, OUT>
public class StringToCountryTypeConverter extends StdConverter<String, CountryType> {

public CountryType convert(String value) {
//convert and return
}

and then apply this on the target property:

Given the similarity of the 2 interfaces I would expect that you could create one class to handle both scenarios:

415--Unsupported Media Type in Spring

I am getting unsupported mediatype error.
My User Profile class looks like this

Suggest me what I am missing?
Don't forget to select "JSON" format, filled in arbitrary JSON string in the textarea.
Also use either Accept or Content-type at a time.
If that doesn't work then can you check like below by removing consumes and adding headers manually.

Finally after after spending some time.. I figured out why it was not working.
In my java based spring configuration file I missed "#EnableWebMvc".
After adding it, my problem got resolved.

Spring Boot validation with Hibernate Validator

Anyone know if it`s possible to create one method in my entity, to execute when I put the annotation #Valid in my class?
Example:
I have this Object:

smartgwt listgrid RestDataSource not populating

Im new using this front end framework application...
I recently started to work with smartgwt and i'm bulding a new application with a Spring MVC integration.
I'm using a ListGrid with a RestDataSource (Consume the Rest service with mvc:annotation-driven for plain JSON)
I can see that the servaice gets consuming properly perhaps my grid is never shown with the data in it.
Can someone help me here ?

The Data which is transferred from the RestDataSource has a specific format which is described in the JavaDoc of the RestDataSource
Your server must understand the request and send back a valid response.
At the moment your example doesn't seem to honour the contract.
To debug the traffic send to and from your server you can use the SmartClient-Console. You can open it by a browser bookmark like this:

Of cause you need to deploy this console by adding the following module to your gwt.xml

Now go to the RPC Tab and check Track-RPCs
