Visual Studio Community can't find any libraries after migrating to new CPU

I recently migrated my old Macbook Pro (15 inch 2018) to a new one (16 inch 2019). Not much of a difference between the two, OS-wise. However on my new machine Visual Studio Community, which I use to code C# with Unity, suddenly doesn't recognize a single standard library, including UnityEngine or System. The game runs fine, but the script files are a mess of red underlines.
Stuff I've tried...
Upgrading Unity to latest version
Closing and re-opening visual studio community
Restarting my computer
Making some small changes to files
Selecting "Build"/"Rebuild All" (Hangs on "Cleaning solution" until I close the program, even if I leave it open hours).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this annoying issue?
Thank you very much in advance!
Make sure the latest Visual Studio package is installed in Unity: Windows -> Package Manager.
Similarly if you are using Rider or Visual Studio Code.

Visual Studio Community Mac Task Highlighting

I install Visual Studio Community through Unity, and I noticed that the tasks (TODO, FIXME, UNDONE) don’t get highlighted when I write them. What’s wierd is that sometimes when I first open a file, TODO will be a different color than the rest of the comment, but after everything is done loading, the TODO will become the same font and color as the rest of the comment again.
How do I get tasks to remain highlighted in Visual Studio?
(I am using unity on a Mac, and this version of VS Community was installed by the unity installer)

Visual studio skipping lines between functions

I'm on the preview version of visual studio 2017. And recently after an update my visual studio started doing this:
I have marked the issue with two white circles. As you can see, visual studio adds a visual line break between the functions. How this happened, I don't know. It might be a key combination that I pressed by accident or a setting that is on by default in my version.
What I want to do is turn it off. I want line 255 and 256 in my screenshot to be directly underneath each other again and not have visual studio insert a mandatory "line break" between them. How do I achieve this?
The issue has fixed itself after updating to Version 15.8.0 Preview 5.0.

how to change number row color in visual studio ETL

I know this question might be selected as a duplicate question but I couldn't figure it out how to change number row colour in SSIS visual studio ETL? I choose dark them but the background of the page is still white. and I cannot read the number of items extract. please help me.
I am using VS2017 community edition, windows server 2016 standard.
Seems like it is connected to a bug in a visual studio related to color themes. Can you try switching it to light and then to black till this issue is gone.
Alternative variant is to download Color Theme Editor for Visual Studio 2017
and adjust it manualy

What does this red square icon mean in Visual Studio 2013 Solution Explorer?

In the image below, there are red square icons next to items in the Solution Explorer. I can't figure out what they indicate. I'm using Resharper and AnkhSVN, so they may be from either of those two packages, or from Visual Studio itself. Does anyone have any idea what they mean?
It's likely from Subversion, saying that you have changes in the file
