I've recently upgraded my moodle site from 2.9 to 3.4.
Https was only enabled on login page. After the upgrading https is enabled on the whole site. Now some remote scorm packages don't work.
How can I use https only on login page as before?
Thanks in advance!
From modle,org: Possible issues that may affect you in Moodle 3.4
Setting "Use HTTPS for logins" ('loginhttps') was completely removed since it provided false sense of security. If it was enabled before upgrade the whole site will be served via HTTPS protocol
In config.php, adding the following line should prevent https from being forced:
$CFG->overridetossl = false;
(I've not tested this, but it looks like it should work).

I just installed a SSL certificate on the website and confirmed that it was set-up correctly. But for some reason when visiting the website through HTTPS it gives the error "Not Authorized to View This Page [CFN #0004]". But HTTP works fine.
It's a WordPress website and the htaccess file has not been modified.
What could be the problem?

I've Googled and Googled but cannot find a solution. Called my hosting company, but they're not specialized enough to understand the issue.
First off check this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I've gone through changing any links i find to http: to https:
Viewing the source i thort it was somthing to do with this line "" but can work out where the link is to change http to https.
Hopefully someone knows.
Nevermind i scanned through the index.php and found the link to the http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js file and changed it to https. And it works now, thanks anyway.
I have also came across similar issue on my website's home page.
When I accessed my website from http to https(means after addition SSL) my image slider stopped working.
I tried below workaround:-
replaced all http links on my home page with https.
I assume in this case all http link should have respective https links available.
After that my image slider started working same like earlier it's working with http.
I have a MediaWiki install running on a Ubuntu 12.04 server using Nginx as the webserver. I have also created a self signed certificate to use with the site so that when I log in, my passwords would not be exposed to everyone on the internet.
Recently, I noticed the the site does not properly load the CSS for the site. Upon closer inspection it appears that my browser (firefox) is blocking certain content because it is apparently insecure. It seems to not like that the images on the site are being referenced by uri instead of using https:// but I am not sure how to correct this. Has anyone run into this before?
You should try using protocol-relative URIs for $wgServer in your LocalSettings.php. For example, it looks like you have:
$wgServer = "http://wiki.asedmunds.ca";
Try
$wgServer = "//wiki.asedmunds.ca";
instead.
We have installed SSL in server for a Joomla website and https is working fine for Joomla admin panel. But in front end it auto redirecting to http.

Joomla version - 2.5.7
The following instructions are for Joomla 3, but for other versions the instructions should be identical, it will just look a bit different and the menus might be in a different place.
Log into your Joomla admin site.
Go to Global Configuration
Go to the Server tab.
Find the option "Force SSL" and change it to "Entire Site".
Click "Save and Close"
Clear your site cache.
If you have any SEF extensions with caches, they will need their caches purged too. They may also have their own HTTPS settings within their configuration, however that will vary by extension.
Here is a screenshot taken from Joomla 3:
It is also possible to activate SSL on a per-page basis. This is done via the menu manager.
You may also want to check your web server configuration (i.e. .htaccess) for any rewrites or redirects, but that's beyond the scope of Joomla configuration.
I have a website that is live and a version that I am working on locally using XAMPP. For some reason every time I try to load:
http://localhost/websitename
or
http://127.0.0.1/websitename
it goes to the internet version. This has only started happening. All services are started. XAMPP is working for all other sites that I am working on locally.
Check your site settings as I believe you're having the url in your website set to the live version.
This can have alot of reasons.
What does your windows host file have for redirect rules (C:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc/host) I assume that you use Windows because you said "xampp", correct me if im wrong)
Check for header(); redirects within your websites php scripts.
Do you have a v-host entry redirecting you to another url in your v-host config of your apache?
Check if you have any hard-coded url's? or redirects? in the project that are redirecting to the live version.
