Dynamics CRM Online suddenly crashed and whenever I try to log back into my organization (on various browsers) I keep getting this "Site Map Error".
When searching for the problem I see various other people who have come across the same problem. A general suggestion has been to reset the sitemap using the Xrm toolbox. This has only worked for a few it appears.
I cannot even get to reset anything since this is the only window in my organization I can access.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
I was able to solve this problem.
Go to https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/, downloading the toolbox.
Connect your organization to the toolbox
Open the sitemap editor
choose more actions (dropdown) -> Select "Reset Dynamics 365 (8.2) Sitemap to default".
Say yes to the prompt that says your organization is not a Dynamics 365. 6. Open organization, log in and int works.

A few months ago Visual Studio started popping up a permissions request for "Code Index Client Applications" from "Code Index API".
If I click on the "Report it here" link, I'm taken to another page that says it is from "AME.GBL".
I don't know what this is, so I always hit cancel. I have not noticed any kind of problems with not granting it what it wants, and I'm getting tired of it asking, so I'd like to try and remove whatever it is that is asking. I've tried disabling all my extensions, but it still asks. I have looked in the Visual Studio Installer's "Individual components" and also my Windows "Apps & features", but there is nothing with these names listed there. I have looked online but can't find anything about it.
Does anyone know what this is or how to get rid of it (or is there some reason why I should grant it permission)?
The dialog that pops up has changed slightly and I think it gives the answer:
You can read about Rich Code Navigation here or see a demo of it (primarily in Visual Studio Code) here. Note that the second link is from 2018, so in one form or another, this has been around for some time, but perhaps it has been off by default until a recent update?
At any rate, if you choose to disable Rich Code Navigation, you can do that under
Tools --> Options --> Environment --> Preview features
I did that and the permissions request dialog went away.
I was using an add-in with a shared mailbox.
After doing some work. I Can't be used now.
Details are described below.
Open a shared mailbox Using the "Open another mailbox" option setting.
Click Get Add-in to open the dialog screen.
Remove the add-in from the "admin-managed"
"Error AccessDenied" Is displayed when adding an add-in.
There are also problems with official add-ins(etc...My Templates )
Please tell me how to solve this problem.
Open Another Mailbox" scenario is not fully supported on Outlook Web Add-ins as of now. We are working on our document update to reflect this status. You can request for this support by creating an entry in our Microsoft 365 Developer Platform Ideas page
I've just loaded up the advanced find and I cant click on half the icons/drop downs as they are all in the wrong place. It works fine on other servers and other machines. It appears as if its a CSS problem. Any Ideas
I had the same problem in Firefox. (In private mode, there was no problems.)
Steps to fix it:
Goto/Open the CRM Site
Open Developer Tools
Go to Console Tab
Enter the following command:
localStorage.clear(); // remove all of localStorage's properties
Several users reported this issue, the cause is not clear yet, however these are the suggested steps:
1) Try with another browser
2) Clean the browser cache
3) if CRM site is inside the Internet Explorer compatibility mode list remove it
4) if CRM site is not inside the Internet Explorer compatibility mode list add it
localStorage.clear();
This did the job for me on Chrome
For Edge, a less severe fix is:
From the CRM app tab or window, F12 for Debugging tools
Select the Application tool from the tool bar,
Expand Local Storage on the left,
Below that select the line that has the URL for your CRM
Right-click, select Clear.
Restart Edge.
Open Edge settings
Click the Reset Settings button
Restart session
Go to Internet Options
Go to Security Tab
Click On Trusted Sites then Sites and Add CRM Site to Trusted items
Recommended to click on Custom Level and disable Pop-Up Blocker
Now Problem is solved
I have been working on an outlook add-in for the last couple of weeks and I have been looking around for a way to get rid of the “Press F1 for add-in Help” context that is displayed when the user points the mouse on the add-in.
Now, I know that it is not possible because Microsoft does that in order to prevent users that the add-in is actually a third part component and was not provided by Microsoft and they don’t assume any responsibility of the add-in misbehavior.
My problem is: When I press F1 I don’t get the general outlook Help menu, but it gives me the Lync Help Menu. And that doesn’t make any sense for my users.
Any help, hint of how to get the F1 button to display the general Outlook Menu, and/or explanation of why is it behaving as described above are much appreciated.
Thanks.
EDIT 1: Lync's help page only shows up in Outlook 2013, on Outlook 2010, F1 displays original Outlook Help Menu.
EDIT 2: I created a new project added a ribbon and a button, I did not make any modification or set any options and added a setup project to test it on Outlook 2013 and Lync still shows up, so I am guessing that I did not do anything wrong in my first project.
First of all, you are right. The Outlook extensibility model doesn't provide anything for that.
However, you may consider setting up a keyboard hook to override the default behavior in Outlook. See Using shortcut keys to call a function in an Office Add-in for a sample code.
I have tried a large number of VS2013 re-installations (using ISO image download link from "MSDN Subscriptions" website), registry tweaks and manual file repairs/changes.
Finally I got to the problem resolving point where I got this dialog:
Link to VS2013 License Dialog
And that was the first time ever I saw the link "License with another Microsoft or organization account" on that dialog. Last thing I did before I got that link was:
deleted regkey HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Licenses\E79B3F9C-6543-4897-BBA5-5BFB0A02BB5C
ran VS2013 uninstall from Control Panel and repaired the installation
Problem is I have no clue whether it really helped since I cannot reproduce the success on the computers of my co-workers in that way.
We have MSDN Subcription that contains 5 licenses for VS2013 Pro and we have only used 2 so far (head developer (zd**** on the pic right side) and me (dm**** on the pic left side)).
Is there maybe any downloadable ISO image of VS2013 Pro with that link embedded and enabled by default, or any reg tweak to enable it?
Incidentally, I have also tried almost every link and option on "MSDN Subscriptions", "Microsoft VLSC" and "Microsoft Partner" sites and tried filling a number of contact forms from those websites and even sent a few e-mails. However I did not get any replies - not a single information from Microsoft.
Only contact with them I had was talking to a Live chat guy and to my great surprise, my problem was not in his jurisdiction so he gave me a link to a contact form.
After some juggling with several different computer I finally realised what was the difference between theirs and mine. I was the only who had VS2013 Pro with Update 4.
Version 12.0.31101.00 Update 4 to be exact.
So after applying that update to other computers I was able to get the mentioned link and came to a long lasting peace of mind :)
In the top right hand corner of a running Visual Studio 2013, just below the quick find box and the minimise, expand and close buttons, there is an area that shows who is signed in. Clicking the name there brings up an account settings option that is very similar to the page in your link.
Perhaps if you sign in as a user who has links to multiple Microsoft accounts then the text "License with another Microsoft or organization account" will be shown. Perhaps you need to visit the administration pages of the Microsoft account you want to use and add the appropriate users (ie email addresses) to that account.
