Can't load Xamarin solution after Visual Studio 15.7.3 update

After updating Visual Studio 15.7.1 into 15.7.3, I can't load my Xamarin solution that has a Xamarin.IOs project and a Net Standard 2.0 project.
The loading project window appears loading the projects, but it freezes on loading the first project and Visual Studio goes not responding. The only way to close Visual Studio at that point is by terminating it through the Task Manager.
Is there any way can I successfully open my Xamarin solution from Visual Studio 15.7.3?
This issue appears to be happening only when you try to open the solution through Visual Studio 15.7.3 itself. That is if you try to open the solution,
Through the recent link under Recent section of the Start Page in Visual Studio
Through the Open Project / Solution under Open section of the Start Page in Visual Studio
Through File > Open > Project / Solution... in Visual Studio
Solution:
If you navigate to the directory of the solution, then double click the solution file (.sln file) if .sln files are set to open with Visual Studio OR right click on the solution file and select Open with > Microsoft Visual Studio 2017
Then the solution along with the projects will be successfully opened in Visual Studio 15.7.3!
Note: There's a ticket requesting to fix this issue at, https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/266351/cant-load-xamarin-solution-after-visual-studio-157.html
Update:
After restarting windows, then you can reopen projects as before, directly through Visual Studio 😊
Disabled xamarin Extension
Restart VS
Reload droid project
Enabled Xamaring Extension
Restart VS
This worked for me

Choose specific VSTO-Version when opening TFS-Project

I do have a TFS Project (TFS 2013) and I would like to set up my Visual Studio 2015 to work at that project. I have Visual Studio 2017 and Visual Studio 2015 installed. Now whenever I go to the main page of my Project and click "Open in Visual Studio" (like described here), Visual Studio 2017 opens. I would like to have it open in VSTO 2015. How can I select which version of Visual Studio should open?
The solution file should contain a UTF-8 signature that describes in which version the solution is to be opened. This is what's used for example to show different icons for solution files targeting different Visual Studio versions.
This signature info is also used by the Visual Studio Version Selector when opening a solution. An easy way to fix this is make sure that have the solution local on your dev machine and then right click -> open with and choose the Visual Studio Version Selector. Then pick the correct version of Visual Studio that you want to use.
This will then be honored by your browser when opening a solution since this also uses the Visual Studio Version Selector.

Xamarin option disappeared from new projects

I have successfully installed xamarin, i created one application by it, after i installed visual c++, framework 4.5 and repaired the visual studio one time during the installation, Xamrin option disappeared from new projects.
Ok, Open the visual studio click on Help->About Microsoft Visual studio
check. Is there xamarin is available or not, if not go to control panel and update the visual studio.

unable to locate visual studio installer

When I trying to open visual studio installer in visual studio 2017 an error message is displayed: can't locate visual studio installer. It might be because I deleted it by mistake. I tried to look for the download of visual studio installer and did not find it. I must delete complitly visual studio 2017 from my drive as fast as it possible.
Go to control panel>>Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features>>right click on visual studio>>select change.
your installer window will appear on the screen.
Try below link
https://www.visualstudio.com/thank-you-downloading-visual-studio/?sku=Community&rel=15#
Download installer from above link and then run installer.
It will automatically display your installed vs 2017 components
From there you can install/uninstall vs 2017
Run the installer again. You don't have to uninstall first. I had the same problem when updating to v15.2 today.

Create Setup/MSI installer in Visual Studio 2017

I have written an outlook add-in VSTO in Visual Studio Pro 2017 (VB.NET). I have published it which creates a setup.exe which is OK but I would like to create a proper installer that copies the files locally and can be run silently etc.
How do I go about doing this? When I go to create new project there is no installer project option.
You need to install this extension to Visual Studio 2017/2019 in order to get access to the Installer Projects.
According to the page:
This extension provides the same functionality that currently exists in Visual Studio 2015 for Visual Studio Installer projects. To use this extension, you can either open the Extensions and Updates dialog, select the online node, and search for "Visual Studio Installer Projects Extension," or you can download directly from this page.
Once you have finished installing the extension and restarted Visual Studio, you will be able to open existing Visual Studio Installer projects, or create new ones.
Other answers posted here for this question did not work for me using the latest Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise edition (as of 2018-09-18).
Instead, I used this method:
Close all but one instance of Visual Studio.
In the running instance, access the menu Tools->Extensions and Updates.
In that dialog, choose Online->Visual Studio Marketplace->Tools->Setup & Deployment.
From the list that appears, select Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Installer Projects.
Once installed, close and restart Visual Studio. Go to File->New Project and search for the word Installer. You'll know you have the correct templates installed if you see a list that looks something like this:
