I am facing a problem which my Android Studio is unable to establish a connection to adb. The problem seems occur after I updated my Android Studio from 3.1.1 to 3.1.2 on my Mac (macOS High Sierra 10.13.1).
I tried to updated the Android Studio to 3.1.3, Android SDK Platform-Tools to 28.0.0, macOS to High Sierra 10.13.5, but the problem still exists. I also filed a bug on Android.com about 2 months ago, but I got no response.
Anyone could recommend how to fix?

I had this Unknown MSBuild failure. Please try building the project again while building Xamarin Form App. To be sure, I created a new app from a blank app template. It was also failed to build. Other web app and console app are okay to be built.
I have macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. And Xcode 10.1 (10B61). Due to my MacBook Pro hardware limitation, I could not update Xcode to the latest.
I figure out that it might be due to the latest Xamarin.Android Update. So I try to downgrade it to Version: 11.2.2.1. Then there is no more Unknown MSBuild error. I had the error with Xamarin Android 11.3.0.4. I guess the latest versions are not compatible with my hardware. Already I can only use Xamarin.iOS Version: 12.6.0.25 because I only have macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. And Xcode 10.1 (10B61).
You may get the old versions of Xamarin Android and iOS here at Xamarin's Github.

Hope your Unknown MSBuild error is resolved that way.
I have updated my phone's OS version to iOS 14 and spent today updating Xcode to version 12, yet when I try to build my Flutter app on my iPhone 11 - iOS 14 through Android Studio, it gives me this error:
Your Xcode version may be too old for your iOS version.

Try launching Xcode and selecting "Product > Run" to fix the problem:
open ios/Runner.xcworkspace
Error launching application on Azheen’s.
This problem is somewhat confusing, I got the same error with Xcode 12.0.1 and iOS 14.2 beta.
This solved for me
Download Device support files of iOS 14.0 from this link.
for iOS 14.2 beta there is a pull request that is not yet merged
Unzip and Paste it in this location. /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/
ReOpen Xcode.
This is what I did:
Updated Xcode
flutter clean on the terminal.
flutter upgrade on the terminal.
Open Xcode and run the application once.
flutter clean again.
flutter run.
It should work now.
This issued was raised a while back in August in the flutter repo. Currently, the issue has been fixed by the recent flutter update.
Run flutter upgrade to v1.20.4 to get the fix
I ran into this problem recently, most likely it can be caused due to the reason, that your iOS Device is running a higher version than you xcode can support.
Example:
Apple release new iOS for iPhone i.e. 14.2 and you upgrade your device right away, than you ran into this issue, because the xcode may not have the latest version of your device support files, meaning xcode can only suuport iOS 14.1 or lower. Apple sometimes release newer iOS without providing update of xcode device support files.
There is 4 solutions for this:
Keep your iOS Device on the current stable version of xcode
Downgrade your current iOS device
Install device support files manually
Install xcode beta from Apple Developer https://developer.apple.com/download/
It is an annoying issue, Apple should not release any iOS without having the supporting tools released at the same time, or they should run a warning.
Ran into this issue today on Visual Studio. It appeared that my Dart SDK version was too out of date and upgrading it appeared to fix the problem.
I did upgrade my Flutter version first, and then ran into a problem with the vsync property of AnimationController not being recognized, which was solved by upgrading the Dart SDK, so I'm not sure who the real culprit was (or if it was a combination of both).

I updated my Mac Mini to Mojave also updated to Xcode 10, I've Xcode server configured in my Xcode 9.4.1 it was running even having some issues like couldn't able to install IPA directly into the device. Today I updated my Xcode and tried to update the Xcode server, it is throwing an error while starting Apache. Here is the screen shot.
I had the same problem with a new macOS 10.14 installation.
Any chance you have the latest version of macOS Server (5.7.1) installed too? Apparently the Xcode Server initialization process assumes that if you have macOS Server installed, then it can find a bundled version of Apache.
Since Apple gutted macOS Server recently, that assumption no longer holds, and the helper tools crash during initialization (check for xcsreciperunner crash logs).
I was finally able to turn on Xcode Server only after deleting the macOS Server app. Hope this helps.
I just upgraded to Mojave 10.14.1's full version, and I've been having trouble uploading my app to App Store Connect.
I get the following error, which I have seen on many other SO questions:
Invalid Toolchain. New apps and app updates must be built with the public (GM) versions of Xcode 9 or later, macOS, and iOS SDK or later. Don't submit apps built with beta software including beta macOS builds.
I am using the full version of Xcode (10.1) that released earlier today and the full version of Mojave. How do I get rid of this warning so I can upload to App Store Connect?
I've got it to work now. I assume something was slow at Apple's end in authenticating Xcode 10.1 and Mojave 10.14.1. I reuploaded the same build I was trying to do yesterday and now it is working.
I've downloaded Android Studio 3.0.1 for Mac and as I started it, it showed the splash screen for loading but did nothing else relevant (in the case, means showing the menu for starting/opening/importing projects).
After some research, I found that I could bypass this screen if I change the idea.properties and put on the following line:
disable.android.first.run=true
After that I can now reach the SDK Manager window, but no SDK update sites, platforms or tools shows up.
I'm running macOS X High Sierra 10.13.2.
Can anyone help me on installing the SDK tools and platforms?

Uninstall and install it again. It should have downloaded the Android SDK components while installing but it doesn't seem to be the case. Make sure your connected to the internet during the installation, and once the installation is completed, ensure that they have been downloaded by checking the default Android SDK location on MacOS. Then try opening Android Studio without needing to change any config.
By the time this question was made, there was no solution.
The OS requirements were Mac OS High Sierra up to 10.12. There was no Android Studio for Mac OS 10.13.
Currently there is a version that supports Mac OS 10.13.
edit: also, I found out that permission problems may cause unexpected behavior of some apps (Visual Studio Code also broke). After the permissions check, the software worked like a charm.
