I'm using odoo 11, and I'm trying to create a module. I added web_google_maps to the depends tag in my __manifest__.py, but I'm supposed to specify some parameters, such as: google_maps_view_api_key, google_maps_lang_localization, google_maps_region_localization, google_maps_theme.
Where can I specify them?
There is a special model in Odoo for specifying configuration/system parameters. The technical name is ir.config_parameter. You can simply create one of these parameters in an xml file as a record.
Below is an example:
<record id="google_maps_view_api_key" model="ir.config_parameter">
<field name="key">google_maps_view_api_key</field>
<field name="value">my value here</field>
</record>
You can access the above parameter in code with the following:
self.env['ir.config_parameter'].get_param('google_maps_view_api_key')
It works on a key, value pair methodology. The key is the parameter, value is the value of that parameter.
Alternatively, if you'd like to create them manually through the Odoo front end, you can navigate to "Settings -> Technical -> System Parameters" and create the record there.
You can use post_init_hook argument in __manifest__.py file which allows you to insert your required argument at the time of installation of any app. This might be useful for you. You can refer following link: Odoo document for all the arguments in for manifest file

I have an attribute if type select. When i try to get value from this attribute content it gives the identification number instead of the value. I call like
$node.data_map.my_attribute_identifier.content
This is expected behaviour. https://doc.ez.no/eZ-Publish/Technical-manual/4.x/Reference/Datatypes/Selection
Raw output
The ".content" of an ezcontentobjectattribute object using this datatype returns an array of the identification numbers (as strings) of the selected options.
I want the value not the identification number. I can get that using attribute_view_gui like
attribute_view_gui attribute=$node.data_map.my_attribute_identifier
But i can't assign value to a variable this way. How can i assign value from a select attribute?
First of all i recommend you to always check default templates in your ezpublish to figure out how should template look...
Maybe this example will help:
<input
id="whatever_id_you_like"
type="text" size="50"
name="ContentObjectAttribute_ezstring_data_text_{$node.object.data_map.YOUR_ATTRIBUTE_SHORT_NAME.id}"
value="{$YOUR_VAR}"
/>
or u can use default view for attribute like this:
{attribute_view_gui attribute=$node.data_map.YOUR_ATTRIBUTE_SHORT_NAME}
also might be helpful - way to find correct path (sometimes you need add ".data_int" or ".data_text" on the end of the path to display data):
{$path|attribute(show,depth)} example:
{$node|attribute(show,2)}
or
{$YOUR_FANCY_VAR.content|attribute(show,2)}
You may want to take a look at the view template of ezselection:
ezselection.tpl
This is the code that eZ Publish uses to view the data type.
content of ezselection.tpl:
{let selected_id_array=$attribute.content}
{section var=Options loop=$attribute.class_content.options}
{section-exclude match=$selected_id_array|contains( $Options.item.id )|not}
{$Options.item.name|wash( xhtml )}{delimiter}<br/>{/delimiter}{/section}
{/let}
I'm working on creating a custom report report page in CQ5. I've got my reportbase and columnbase components set up correctly, by following the steps listed here. I am able to, for instance, pick up all the templates that are available, by setting the property nodeTypes to cq:Template
I want to add a constraint to it, say for example pick up templates whose jcr:title is foo. I created a node under querybuilder called propertyConstraints and added my constraints in the form of nodes below it, as describedhere. However, this does not work for me at all.
What is the correct way to add constraints to the querybuildernode? Has anyone tried this?
Also, once I get this working correctly, can I extend this example to return pages of a specific template?
Have you looked into the QueryBuilder API? Adobe's documentation discusses how to match 1 or more property values.
Create a node propertyConstraints under queryBuilder of type nt:unstructured
create another node under propertyConstraints with any name.
Add properties to this node :
name String jcr:title
value String foo
I have my tag ${file.name} in a jsp file to display a name of file to download
name containt a full file name,include file extension. for example
testfile.png
a-file.zip
testfile-test505454654.png
a-filenum5468.docx
other_file_with_a_name_very_very_very_larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge.pdf
Files with very long names, crash my layout.
I think the way to format the file name to shorten it but include the extention. Maybe
testfile.png
a-file.zip
testfile-test505454....png *
a-filenum5468.docx
other_file_with_a_na....pdf *
How I can do?
in href no problem because it is done by id ${file.id}
If file is a POJO, you may add a getter-method to the POJO (something like String getShortName(){}) that returns a short version of the file name. And then use the method in your EL expression: ${file.shortName}.
I would write and register a custom tag that would take care of shortening the output to a maximum length
<custom:short value="${file.name}" var="shortFileName" />
The tag would take care of shortening based on defaults or values you specify in the element and putting it the result in a request attribute you can use anywhere after that declaration.
Since the requirements can be used many times so You should go with CUSTOM Tag solution like #Sotirios Delimanolis suggested.
JSTL function ( Like c:fn ) is another solution. Using jstl function get better performance than Custom tag ( simple / classic model )

I create a new profile document with the following code:
Set doc = db.Createdocument()
doc.Form = "SMBPrivateProfile"
Call doc.Computewithform(True,True)
Call doc.Save(True, False)
But whenever I want to read a field by #GetProfileField i get an empty string, even if the field I want to read has a default value.
After opening & saving the document manually everything works.
Further details:
I improved an application and hit Application --> Replace Design.... The new version includes a new field within the profile document. When reading one of these new fields, the result is an empty string. When reading an 'old' field within the same document the result is the expected string.
e.g.:
MessageBox([OK];"Title"; #GetProfileField("SMBPrivateProfile"; "OLD_FIELD"; #ThisName))
--> Will result in: "This is a fancy old default value"
MessageBox([OK];"Title"; #GetProfileField("SMBPrivateProfile"; "NEW_FIELD"; #ThisName))
--> Will result in: "" (instead of "This is a fancy new default value")
That's not a profile document. To create profile document use:
db.GetProfileDocument("SMBPrivateProfile");
You can also add a second parameter for a unique key in addition to profile name.
Also consider if you really want to use profile documents. They are heavily cached and not visible in any views.
If I'm reading you right, it appears that you have updated a form and added a new field with a default value formula. You are then reading an existing document. When you do this, the new field that you added to the form does not yet exist. New fields and formulas aren't applied to existing documents until you do something to force them to be applied.
If it's a regular document (as your original code indicated), you can just open the document in the Notes client, edit, and re-save it. That will create the NEW_FIELD and give it its value. If there are lots of these documents, you could write a simple formula agent to do this via #Command([ToolsRefreshAllDocs]) or #Command( [ToolsRefreshSelectedDocs]).
If it is a profile document (as per the responce chain to #Panu's anser), then after you do the replace design you will have to write an agent to open the existing profile document using db.getProfileDocument use doc.ReplaceItemValue("NEW_FIELD";"new value").
When I create a new file in xcode, the file template emits the following line:
// Created by ANONYMOUS ANONYMOUS on 11/2/11.
According to the docs, this should be using the full user name of the currently logged in user, but it's substituting ANONYMOUS ANONYMOUS instead. Anyone know why it's not using my user name? The variable it's substituting for is ___FULLUSERNAME___
I think it pulls information for the "me" card in your AddressBook to replace the ___FULLUSERNAME___ and __MyCompanyName__ values. (In AddressBook.app "Card" menu, select "Go to My Card" and see if you have any data entered. You can set any card in your address book to be your "me" card and the basis for those values.)
I've also seen developers use the defaults command line tool to set those values explicitly rather than using the variables above when they wanted to swap details without changing their address book identity. For example when writing code on behalf of multiple companies.
defaults write com.apple.Xcode PBXCustomTemplateMacroDefinitions '{"ORGANIZATIONNAME" = "My organization";}'
