Dynamics crm opportunity "actualvalue" - dynamics-crm

Since July 2018, the field actualvalue of all opportunities is =0 in our CRM organization. Maybe it is due to the V9 upgrade? Totalamount has still values on the other hand.
Could somebody please tell me when actualvalue is given a value? Our opportunities are not associated with products. Thank you.

The Actual Revenue(actualvalue) is updated on opportunity when opportunity status is changed to WON.

What happens to tasks/cases in MS Dynamics CRM that were assigned to employees that have been terminated or left the company?

I just started at a company that uses MS Dynamics CRM 2016 extensively and I've been trying to run down a comprehensive answer for how the system handles tasks/cases that have been assigned to employees within my company after those employees have left the company.
It's apparently quite a large problem because the tasks/cases have been explained to me as "falling into the void" and being unfindable once the owner (ex-employee) no longer has access. Is this true?
Is there a way to confidently query all tasks/cases for employees that no longer have access if I 1) don't have a good idea of who those employees might be and 2) don't have a full list of what might have been assigned to them?
I'm still very new to MS Dynamics CRM and am not even sure where to start. I know it's possible to run queries, advanced finds, and searches. Those in my company that have explained to me the situation seem to have tried some form of these methods so far.

You should prepare the list of CRM users who left the company (if not query the disabled users and identify them), then do a house keeping by reassigning their records by going to their user profile. Read more

Microsoft Dynamics Web API | PATCH invoice detail

Does anyone know how to update the invoice detail entity along with Invoice under postman? I have searched google but not find many useful answers for this. I even try to use odata.bind annotation but still not able to solve my issue here. Basically, I just want to update Invoice Details along with Invoice in one API call. Any help will be appreciated.

We have a concept called deep insert for creating parent and child record in one call. Unfortunately for updating/patching we have to deal with one object at a time. ie invoice and invoice detail separately.

On creation of contact from account (Primary contact),last name gets auto filled - MS crm 2016

I have created contact from account(primary contact) through quick create form,if I am creating contact second time on same account(Primary contact), "Last name" field filled as selected contact's First Name+ Last Name in Quick create form.
can anyone tell me what could be the reason?
any help would be highly appreciated.

This is because CRM sees the primarycontactid value as more of a user trying to find a contact which is also the natural flow of things in CRM. You create an account, either you assign a known primary contact or enter a search term which does not resolve to an existing contact, in which case it makes a lot of sense to auto-map the lookup search term to the last name on the contact.
Although the behavior makes much more sense if the lastname was pre-populated with the look up search term if the contact was non-existent, the downside effect of it overweighs the actual functionality, especially considering the natural flow of things.

Crystal Report creating a receipt register report 2

I already done some parts of my report with the help of a good person(Siva) but I'm on much bigger problem I think. It's about my sundries section.
In my table
and I want to display my report to look like this.
And this is what I'm getting...
You can see in my table that the record with RefNo: 1003 has a lots of account that has been paid. Unfortunately the reports I'm getting has no record of AccCode: 4200 Housing Loan with a credit of -$40.
I don't know how to achieve this again... I'm placing all the details in a group footer of field name RefNo.
Please someone can help me to this, you can just give me some idea and I try to handle it. Thanks in advance.

To create a Visio UML Data Model diagram, place the tables you want to include in a project and use the Reverse Engineering Tool
With more than 2000 tables it would be a huge diagram.
If you look at the tables in the AOT most of them have relations set on them
You can also use the Cross-Reference
Select the table / table field you are interested in knowing more about.
Right click / Add-Ins / Cross-Reference / Used by
Here you will get a complete list of everywhere the selected object is used
The Cross reference must be updated ofcourse - prior to this.
It can be a long process - most the time it is only updated in Development and Test environments
You do that by clicking the main AOT node. Right click here and do like mentioned above. But select 'Update' instead of 'Used By'. It may take hours
