I have an app which I want to run in intellij-idea using run button. The task which everyone of us do almost every day. Yesterday everything was working fine but today it is somehow extremely slow. It will get built fast but when it is being run it is extremely slow.
I have no other big processes running, it is just intellij-idea.
My app is gradle project. When I build it and start it using gradlew everything is smooth as it was yesterday. I have the latest version of intellij-idea ultimate. Also I have tried reinstalling it but the problem remains the same.
Can someone help me with what might cause this problem ?
I was searching all day for the answer but I am not able to find any. It is frustrating.
Thank you for any help.

I have a bit of an issue regarding a setup I have to work with. The PCU has Windows XP Embedded running on it, with IIS 5.1. I made an application with IIS as its webhost. There's a touchscreen monitor attached that is always on. Now everything runs fine, no problems, untill about 1-1.5 weeks pass by. At that point IIS, not sure about this, seems to be going on some kind of idle mode, the application stops doing what its supposed to do. But, to me, the weird part is that IIS seems to boot up again once I tap the screen and after that it runs fine again for 1-1.5 weeks. The problem is that I don't really have a clue to where to start searching, I've taken my application apart and looked for any memory leaks or anything that would be causing any issues but it doesn't seem that way. Any suggestions to what to look into would be greatly appreciated!
This is incredibly strange to me. Neo4j won't start a second time unless I restart Windows.
I installed neo4j Community Edition 3.0.3 on 64-bit Windows 7 and followed this youtube tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Foj2tzq84DY. The tutorial was embedded in neo4j's site https://neo4j.com/download-thanks/?edition=community&flavour=winstall64&release=3.0.3&_ga=1.203356307.385208157.1468345542. Even thought the video lists 2.3 it's linked by Neo4j 3.0.3 download and worked fine for 3.0.3.
Everything worked like a charm. I played around with it for a while and things worked fine. I then shut it down, by clicking on stop in the little gui launcher. When I tried to start it up again, through the start menu, nothing seems to happen at all. I went into the Neo4j CE 3.0.3\bin directory and tried running from there, but I see no error messages, no log directory, no error dialog. I just seems to do nothing. I've also tried "neo4j-ce.exe start" and "neo4j-ce.exe restart". Nothing seems to work.
I checked windows services and didn't see any services starting with neo4j. Don't know if default setup runs it as a service, but if so, maybe it's under something else?
I have been able to get things to start up if I restart Windows, but that's a royal pain and cannot imagine that's intentional.
I do see that there's a jar in the bin directory, so I imagine I could start it with a java command, but I don't know the specifics. However, it's most disconcerting that there is no error message at all. I imagine that something didn't shut down properly, but at this point I have no idea what might be going wrong.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I don't know if this is a bug with the launcher for the community edition of neo4j on windows 7 or not, but what I've found is that when you close the launcher dialog, it does not kill the neo4j-ce process. Thus, since the process is already running, albeit in a stopped state, it won't start again. The challenge there is, of course, that the dialog is gone and you can't click the start button to essentially connect to a database.
The solution is to go into Task Manager and end the "neo4j-ce.exe" process.
Once that is done you can start Neo4j normally.
I'm having some trouble working with xCode. It just keeps hanging and using 100% CPU right after a couple lines of code. I'm working on a new project and it barely has two files and it has become completely imposible to work with.
I tried reinstalling xCode and starting my project from scratch but it won't work.
I noticed three things that may help someone find out what it's going on.
It's slow even when typing, the characters appear delayed on the screen.
It keeps saying indexing on the task bar on top. If I clean the project it will disappear but come back whenever I start working again.
It overheats as soon as I open xCode
And here's some other facts that might help
I'm running xCode 6.1.1 (build 6A2008a)
My Mac is a mid 2012 MacBook pro 8GB Ram
I did a fresh install of Yosemite a month after it was released, so it's pretty clean.
I'm using the latest build of Xampp for my SQL server
I'm using nodejs as a backend so I'm running an http with nodemon
Hope any of you has a solution to this.
Thanks and merry christmas to all of you.
EDIT
I found out that it will build just fine if I remove my conditional cast to NSInteger, NSString, Float, etc. I have like 8 of them one after the other, and just replacing as? for as did the trick. I'm curious as for why this is happening anyway though.
Similar problems on 6.1.1 (but also source kit crashes) were improved (but not completely resolved) for me by deleting derived data.
I'm working on an iPad app and I need to try a few things, for which I usually have a small sample app that I use. While my primary app project opens just fine, the sample app doesn't. Xcode (Version 5.0) just sits there, the wait cursor spinning. The other odd thing is that when trying to make a new project, I get the same behavior.
What's going on here? Various other threads on Stack and other forums suggest removing various files, in ~/Local/... and in the .xcodeproject directory. However this doesn't seem to help. Any ideas as to what's going on?
I restarted my macbook and XCode behaves now. There goes my 200 day uptime...
I have an Xcode project that has been upgraded to Xcode 3.2, and whilst it builds fine (and produces an executable that runs fine), when I try to debug it the debugger doesn't start.
When I look in the debugging window, it says that the build was fine. When I look in the console, I get a 'Session started ', but the application never begins.
I've had a wander through the build settings, and can't see anything that appears to be turned off when it should be turned on. I thought it may be a new setting that I need to turn on, but I can't see anything of interest that may help.
Any advice would be grateful accepted!
Cheers and thanks.
Have you tried a full Clean of the project?
I was having the same problem and just discovered that my app launches on the iPhone correctly when I've started Xcode from the finder, but not when I've launched Xcode from my shell. For example, I start Xcode by typing "open project.xcodeproj" into my bash terminal, and device debugging is broken, but if I start Xcode via spotlight or by double-clicking on my project, or from the Applications folder, device debugging works fine. I'm not certain, but it appears to be a problem with my shell environment variables.
Thanks to Rob for the advice. I tried rebuilding everything a couple of times and still to no avail.
However, after turning on my machine this morning, trying the project out it now debugs quite happily. I'm guessing that after installing Xcode I should have rebooted the machine (it didn't require one according to the installer).
Thanks all.
