I am using UiPath to open SAP GUI transaction and create txt file. Robot will open transaction, set filters and copy desired column to clipboard to use it in another transaction.
Problem is I need to apply filter and then copy the column to clipboard.
I can do trick:
Set Filter... -> F4, CTRL+Y CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN -> CTRL+C
But this will not apply filter before copy happens.
SAP table has around 3.8k rows and looks like this:
Criterium Transaction
CLOSED 1
CLOSED 2
CREATED 3
CREATED 4
OPEN 5
I have access only to SAP GUI front end of SAP system.
Any ideas?
I managed to fix the problem.
It is possible to view the data otherwise than "Grid". Additionaly by changing layout data can be filtered, so less columns will be shown and SAP will be able to show desired columns as "Excel inbuild" view. From there it is possible to copy to clipboard without creating extra files.

I have 2 SharePoint sites (SiteA and SiteB) In siteA I have an excel file called LocationA, when this file is edited (rows added, rows edited or rows deleted) I want to reflect these changes in another excel file called LocationB which is stored in SiteB (I have not added the delete operation yet but suggestions on how I might do so are welcomed).
The issue is that the flow is adding rows instead of updating the existing rows in LocationB.
Please find my flow below (it is running without errors but the output is the problem)
Note
The expression in the filter array is string(items('Apply_to_each')?['ID']) which changes the ID field to String
The expression in condition 2 is empty(body('Filter_array')) this condition checks if the list item exists in excel
Because you are using the action to add a row in the power automate, you need to change the action for example, Update a row. That will work.
when copy pasting data from dashboards (pivot tables; no interactions), sometimes the order in excel is wrong:
I.e.: Dashboard: I have marked a - b ( 1 2 4 5) of a pivot table from left to right and copied them.
Pasting them into Excel sometimes results in:
Marking C B A (from right to left) and pasting into excel would sometimes result in:
Using the regular obiee export button works fine (always).
Ideas and suggestions are much appreciated - this happens with all browsers.
That is so not what you are supposed to do anyways it's not funny anymore. Copy+paste into Excel? Pray tell me why you try to use an analytical system in the first place.
tl;dr : Totally wrong usage of the tool.
Edit: By the way in 11g you couldn't even copy the data that way for security reasons because it's an action that isn't logged anywhere.
I've made the mistake of using the 'Calculate and Replace Column' feature to replace the wrong column, and realized after the fact. The column I replaced corresponds to last names and is important. I would like to retrieve this column but maintain my other 15 or so data transformations. Ideally, I would like to remove this transformation, but I've come up empty so far. Here's what I've tried:
I tried adding the 'last name' column again from the same external source, using >Insert >Columns... I also tried renaming this column to avoid the data transformation. Unfortunately, this resulted in an entirely empty column, so it did not successfully match to the table or was affected by the transformation..
I checked the source information, and found exactly the 3-4 lines that I wish were not there. I thought it might be possible to edit this but haven't found a way. This seems like it would be the easiest.
Another idea I had was I could replace the data table with the same source, and repeat all of the transformations from the replace data table dialogue (excluding the bad one). This is my next plan of attack, but I figured I would come on here to see if there's an easier way first.
Thanks in advance!
Good News for YOU!!! #jeremyVollen.
It is possible to 'edit' your transformation per Tibco article 44098.
Resolution: If there are more then one transformations on a data table and you need to edit any of those transformation, follow the steps below:
Go To Edit >> Data Table Properties.
Select the desired data table inside which the transformation has been added and click on Refresh Data > With Prompt.
A new window will pop up which will allow you to make the desired changes in each of the transformations.
unfortunately it is NOT possible to reverse data table transformations.
it IS possible to undo the transformations with Edit>>Undo or CTRL+Z, but that's as far as it goes.
my strategy for dealing with this is (in accordance with your #3) to visit Edit>>Data Table Properties, select the table I'm interested in, select Source Information, then copy the contents of the textarea and paste it into notepad. then, I'll File>>Replace Data Table and start over from the beginning while keeping the notepad open so I don't miss any steps.
I realize it's not ideal, but there is unfortunately not another way.
I have installed and made some successful product imports in to Magento using Magmi, but as soon as I try to import any data where the spreedsheet columns have commas [,] Magmi will not perform the import.
For example when I save the data in this speadsheet as a CSV file Magmi successfully imports the data;

However, Magmi refuses to import the data in the table below, where you can see in column F I have added data that include 'commas'.

Can anyone advise. I am using an Apple Mac with OpenOffice to prepare and save my data.
Is the data not importing entirely, or is just the visibility column not being set?
Visibility is a Magento core attribute which Magmi can set by using exact numerical option id value.
Generally, the option values you want to use for the visibility field are as follows:
Not Visible Individually = 1
Catalog = 2
Search = 3
Catalog, Search = 4
So in your case, if you want to set these products to Catalog, Search, you can set the visibility column value to 4.
To double-check that the above mapping is correct for your instance of Magento, the easiest way is as follows:
Go edit any product
Look for the Visibility drop down field, and right click > inspect element
In the developer tools, take note the values associated to each label.
Below an example of the process and what to look for.
Axel is correct, you should set the data to the numerical value 4.
But I do also recommend you explore a better way to export CSV content from Open Office. You may have to start a new document because I find I only see the dialogue below once and then I never see it again. Create a new document, paste your data into it. Choose save-as, select CSV, and save it. Eventually you should see the dialogue below. Change the encoding to UTF 8, the text delimiter to " and tick the 'Quote all text cells' box.
Then you should be able to have any cells with commas or other things in them. Always ensure you CSV files are quoted. "like","this","so you, can","have commas, in them". It is worth inspecting your CSV file in a text editor to see the format is as expected before uploading it to MAGMI.
I want to know which is best strategy to aboard the following problem in Talend:
I need to load data from a set of delimited files that are stored in a directory with names like (SAMPLE1.DAT, SAMPLE2.DAT, ... , SAMPLEX.DAT)
The target will be a table in a MySQL database
I have to load all data at once because after this task I need to work with all records in the same table
I'm a bit confused because I don't know if it possible in Talend. I was seeing the tFileInputDelimited component but I didn't find the way to solve it.
Thanks
To read several files from one directory, you would use the tFileList component. It allows you to specify a directory and a file name pattern. All files in the directory matching the pattern will be processed, one after the other.
You need to use an "Iterate" link from the tFileList component to those components that describe what you want to do with each file. In your case, you would start with a tFileInputDelimited component (read the file) and connect the main output of that to a tMysqlOutput component. The MySQL component will, by default, just append the data to an existing table, so that should get you the result you want.
In the tFileInputDelimited component, you would not use a fixed filename, but a variable filename which is set by the tFileList component for each iteration (your loop variable, so to speak of). The name of that loop variable can be seen in the "outline" view in the studio, usually in the bottom left corner.
You would use components tFileInputDelimited into tMap (optional) into tmysqlOutput
Step 1 : configure some components like this, except you will use the delimited file input:
Step 2 : configure the component settings for the delimited file, click the disk for the wizard :
Step 3 : configure your database by right clicking on Db Connection under metadata, then following wizard:
Step 4 : Right click on each component and choose Row > Main > drag to next step in flow.
Step 5 : Open your tMap and map the columns from the file schema to the database schema.
Step 6 : Run the job, it should work if you have followed all the wizard, if there are errors just hover over the red component and it usually describes errors pretty well. You will see as the job runs how many records it has transferred.
Step 7 : after you have made it that far, create a tfiledelimited output with the same schema as the input, right click on the input choose Row > Rejects and drag that to the new delimited output, this is where and records that are rejected by the tmap will be sent.
