After last day's Windows 10 updates, we have issue to open Access file by Crystal Report.
I faced this problem after windows 10 updates on 08/Jan/2018.
When I try to open a .rpt files, I get this error:
Error:
Query Engine Error: 'DAO Error Code: 0xd0f
Source: DAO.Fields
Description: Unrecognized database format 'C:\MyTable.MDB'.')
.rpt files are using MyTable.MDB ( Ver 2.0 !!!!)

KB4480116
KB4480962
KB4480963
KB4480975
KB4468742

I found the solution guys.
Just modify the .rpt connection using ODCB(RDO) could fix the issue.

When I try to ADD a REFERENCE to any Visual Studio project...I am suddenly getting the following exception:
Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component
This happens across ALL projects regardless of whether they are source-controlled (or not)
SIDE NOTE:
I did recently install Xamarin on a SEPARATE PROJECT in another TFS SOLUTION
WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR:
Delete all *.suo files
Delete all *.user files
Wiped the TFS Workspace & done a FORCE GET
Nothing has worked
The FIRST TIME you get this error message you'll get a window with a reference to the following file:
ActivityLog.xml: This file contains information about the underlying error.
If you ignore the message & click away from the initial dialog, THE ERROR GETS SUPPRESSED and is replaced with:
Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.
If you look in this file you will see the error. This particular exception was was caused by:
Microsoft.visualstudio.shell.interop.IVsReferenceManager2
Within the Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.11.0.dll library.
This post helped me solve the issue!
THE FIX IS:
Open "Developer Command Prompt for VS 2017" as an Administraor
CD into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies"
Run "gacutil -i Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.11.0.dll"
After a restart, it all worked well.
While installing instantclient_12_1 in Windows 10 it shows the following error.
I will provide the Image of the error after we select the from instantclient_12_1 from Data Source (ODBC)
it was the first error with follwing with next error in next pic
it was the NEXT error
Download vcredist_x86 From the following link
Then do the same Connectivity with 32 bit Software of instantclient_12_1 from oracle site and the dll(Instant Client Packages ODBC (32 bit)) files from the same link

I’m having an issue with ftp.SyncLocalDir when I have an open file on the local directory.
I’m using the example from http://www.example-code.com/vbnet/ftp_syncLocalTree.asp with a few minor changes. It has been working fine for a few days and then has stopped working.
I’ve found that one of the files is open on the local directory. Looking through the http://chilkatforum.com/ forum I see that one of the answers stated that
“Chilkat will detect errors that are likely permission/access errors and will continue with the remainder of the download.”
This is not happening for me. Looking at the last error text it states that the file is used by another process. Not other files get synchronized.
Is the something else I need to add to the code to force it to continue after the error?
Below is the last error text.
Thanks,
Steve

Please try this new build for the .NET 4.0 Framework:
32-bit Download: http://www.chilkatsoft.com/download/preRelease/ChilkatDotNet4-9.5.0-win32.zip
64-bit Download: http://www.chilkatsoft.com/download/preRelease/ChilkatDotNet4-9.5.0-x64.zip
The feature for continuing past permission/access issues had to do with issues on the remote server as opposed to the local filesystem. This new build should now also do the same for local permission errors. It will be noted in the release notes for Chilkat version 9.5.0.47 when released (soon).
If you have trouble, please post the LastErrorText using this new build.
When I'm trying to deploy (any) Windows Phone 8.1 error I get the following error in VS2013:
Error 3 Error : DEP6100 : The following unexpected error occurred during boostrapping stage 'Downloading package 'FF63DEA8-0A0C-4E52-B20F-84F390C30F32'':
DirectoryNotFoundException - The system cannot find the path specified.
And in VS2015:
Show Details Severity Code Description Project File Line
Error Error : DEP6100 : The following unexpected error occurred during bootstrapping stage 'Downloading package 'EB22551A-7F66-465F-B53F-E5ABA0C0574E (NativeMsVsMon)'':
DirectoryNotFoundException - The system cannot find the path specified.
I can deploy the app in Visual Studio 2013 , but in my case this is not an option because VS2013 does not support universal applicationss, so I can't open my project.
Phone is recognized by my computer, it is unlocked, I've tried resetting import export settings.
I have VS2013 update 4.
I was facing the same issue. Don't know if this is related to your issue but I've discovered that all the mess was generated by a failed attempt to update the device OS.
In short, i was unable to update my device to the last OS version. This blocked appx installations and also VS deploys.
For reference

The only soultion I've found is to reset the device via the recovery tool mentioned in the above link
good luck
Can anyone help, the error I'm getting when I try to build a release? The error from the logs is as below:
Building .cab files...
ISEXP : error : -1501: Could not compress "F:\Nagarajan\Projects\Game\Game.opensdf" into "F:\Nagarajan\Projects\Game\Game Installer\Game Installer\Express\SingleImage\DiskImages\DISK1\Data1.cab"
Kindly help me. Thanks in advance
The .opensdf file is a temporary file, used by - and held open by - Visual Studio whiile you have your project open. It should not be part of your distribution, so you just need to remove it from the list of files packed by the installer.
