I have recently deployed a new corporate e-mail signature and have found that it is being flagged as junk/span by O365 recipients.
Is there a way that I can find out what exactly is in the signature that is being flagged? All the hyperlinks are HTTPS.
I have tested it in gmail and hotmail so far. Both have received the e-mail just fine.

I've achieved the "conversation/thread" effect in gmail, using this code
$phpmailer->MessageID = $message_id;
and with this, in gmail all e-mails sent (with the same value in $message_id) are received in the same "conversation/thread", but this dont work in outlook, both windows 10 email app and outlook app for windows 10...
How can i achieve the same result as in gmail in outllook?
Don't re-use the same message ID for multiple messages. There are headers specifically for creating threads, and the definitive explanation for them is here. In short, add the Message-ID of the message you are replying to in a References header, and optionally also into an In-reply-to header. You can create those headers in PHPMailer using addCustomHeader().
I receive calendar invite to my outlook desktop client from one of the applications I use and the organizer email in the meeting invite was "scheduling-assistant+A6B890782A404B77#XXXXXX.com" (Masking the domain with X). When I tried to accept the meeting invite, I received the following exception
Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
Scheduling Assistant
The format of the email address isn't correct. A correct address looks like this: someone#example.com. Please check the recipient's email address and try to resend the message.
More information:
scheduling-assistant A6B890782A404B77#XXXXXX.com
Remote Server returned '550 5.1.3 STOREDRV.Submit; invalid recipient address'
ORGANIZER PROPERTY IN ICS FILE
ORGANIZER;CN=Calendar
Services:mailto:scheduling-assistant+A6B890782A404B77#XXXXXX.com
If we take a look at the email address in the delivery failed mail, plus sign was removed.
I have also recently started facing this issue. I think outlook must have made some changes to how it reads the .ics file.
You need to HTTP encode the organizer's email adderss.
I use python (django), and I used django.utils.http.urlquote to encode the email address:
organizer = vCalAddress(u"mailto:{}".format(urlquote("scheduling-assistant+A6B890782A404B77#XXXXXX.com"))) #<-- This is the only difference. I have encoded the email address.
This fixed the problem for me. I have tested this in Outlook and Google calendar.
Here is my original answer.
I just started to using SendGrid in my c# application, and actually I tested this with Gmail without any problems, so I tried to send an email also to an Outlook email but unfortunately I never reiceved it, I looked also in the spam folder but there is nothing.
I suspect that Outlook or SendGrid are blocking the localhost:8081 sender (which actually my application runs).
How can I fix this?
We've been using Mandrill for years to deploy our app's signup confirmation and password reset emails. This has worked perfectly as we've had SPF and DKIM records added to the DNS configuration according to Mandrill's documentation for verifying sending domains.
However, after merging the Mandrill account with a new Mailchimp account--which is mandated by April 27th--it's requiring me to send a verification email to an address at that domain. The problem is that we don't have a mail server set up to receive emails. The domain is only used to send the "noreply#domain.com" emails.
Any ideas on how I might resolve this? Mailchimp is not giving an option to undo the merge, so effectively I have an app that users are not able to sign up for at the moment, which is problematic to say the least.
You'll want to configure at least one mailbox on that domain somehow to receive mail. That's the only way to confirm ownership of the domain.
this is terrible for me now. i used php mail function and also use Contact Form 7 plugins too on my wordpress theme. also smtp plugins too. change many smtp server. but not work. mail function and Contact Form 7 both working fine on other mail account (gmail, yahoo. hotmail or any other pop mail) not just my client pop account. because they use microsoft exchange server.
for test issue i did something like i sent mail to frist to one gmail account and i setup in gmail auto fwd to one them that pop account . it working well but this problem is in mail show where it is from (xxxx#gmail.com) .. i don't want to show that gmail address. or i want direct send to that pop account.
server is godaddy
guys any solution ?
Google doesn't allow you to send from other addresses unless you are hosting your domain with them.
