Oracle APEX and searching IG on a numeric field - oracle

It appears that APEX Interactive Grid cannot be searched on numeric fields. Is there a work-around?

$("#P40_NEW_1").keyup(function(){
var searchText = $(this).val().toLowerCase();
// Show only matching TR, hide rest of them
$.each($(".a-GV-table tr"), function() {
if($(this).text().toLowerCase().indexOf(searchText) === -1)
$(this).hide();
else
$(this).show();
});
});
Craete a page item for search.
Then Create a Dynamic Action on Keypress and Put this code.

kendo ui grid programatically hide and show the filterable row

I have a kendo grid with filterable = true, mode=row.
I would like a way to have a button click, fire an event that will toggle hiding and showing the filter row.
Right now, I have it working by editing the innerHTML, but this is not what I want to do in the end, for several reasons.
1) I need to have a saved version of the filter row values before they are removed.
2) After they are removed and re-added they will not work
...
many other reasons, just bad practice and there has to be a better way.
A button that fires the event: toggleFilterClick:
<script type="text/x-kendo-template" id="gridFilter">
<button type="button" class="k-button" id="kendoFilterButton" data-click="toggleFilter"><span class="k-icon k-i-funnel"></span>Filter On/Off</button>
</script>
The Javascript code:
//Gets the innerHTML values before they are removed
var filterRowValues = $(".k-filter-row")[0].innerHTML;
//fired when the button is clicked
var toggleFilterClick = $('#kendoFilterButton').on("click", function () {
if ($(".k-filter-row")[0].innerHTML == '')
{
$(".k-filter-row")[0].innerHTML = filterRowValues;
}
else
{
$(".k-filter-row")[0].innerHTML = '';
}
});
Any thoughts suggestions would be appreciated/
I would just like to hide the actual filter row in the header
I'm not sure if i get the point but if you just want to hide it just simply remove everything except$(".k-filter-row").show(); and $(".k-filter-row").hide();. I create an example where when i hide the filter, the filter condtion will removed, but when it showed again the grid will refiltered with the previous value used to filter
$("#toggle").kendoButton({
click:function(){
if($(".k-filter-row").css("display") == "none"){
$(".k-filter-row").show();
//show again filter and execute previous filter condition
$("#grid").data("kendoGrid").dataSource.filter({field:"ShipName",operator:"contains",value:vm.get("filterOptions.ShipName").toString()});
$("#grid").data("kendoGrid").dataSource.filter({field:"OrderID",operator:"eq",value:vm.get("filterOptions.OrderID")});
}else{
//store the previous filter value
//autocomplete
vm.set("filterOptions.ShipName",$("input[data-role='autocomplete']").data("kendoAutoComplete").value());
vm.set("filterOptions.OrderID",$("input[data-role='numerictextbox']").data("kendoNumericTextBox").value());
//hide filter row
$(".k-filter-row").show();
//to reset filter of the grid when filterable hidden
$("#grid").data("kendoGrid").dataSource.filter({});
}
}
});
See the details in action
DEMO
Have you tried just hiding the row instead of removing it?
//fired when the button is clicked
var toggleFilterClick = $('#kendoFilterButton').on("click", function () {
if ($(".k-filter-row").is(":visible")){
$(".k-filter-row").hide();
}
else{
$(".k-filter-row").show();
}
});

jqGrid Make a Row readonly

I have a grid setup using form editing. I want the the user to be able to edit only some of the rows. As a start, I figured the easiest way to do this was to have a column (probably hidden) in my server query and XML that denotes the Access or Role the user has. So essentially the grid now has a column "Access Role" with 'Y' or 'N' for each row. (where Y = user can edit, N = View/readonly)
I've tried a couple things to implement this. The best I've come up with is using the rowattr function, but my use is flawed since it hides the row in the grid (I don't want it hidden, just readonly):
function (rd) {
console.log('Row = '+rd.WWBPITM_SURROGATE_ID);
if (rd.ACCROLE === "N") {
console.log('RowAttr '+rd.ACCROLE);
return {"style": "display:none"};
}
This might be a start, but I'm not sure where to go from here and I'm not sure if I'm barking up the wrong tree with using rowattr.
I also tried using setCell in a loadComplete function, like this:
function GridComplete() {
var grid = $('#list1');
var rowids = grid.getDataIDs();
var columnModels = grid.getGridParam().colModel;
console.log('Check ACCROLE');
// check each visible row
for (var i = 0; i < rowids.length; i++) {
var rowid = rowids[i];
var data = grid.getRowData(rowid);
console.log('ACCROLE for '+rowid+' is '+data.ACCROLE);
if (data.ACCROLE == 'N') { // view only
// check each column
//console.log(data);
for (var j = 0; j < columnModels.length; j++) {
var model = columnModels[j];
if (model.editable) {
console.log('Is Editable? '+model.editable);
//grid.setCell(rowid, model.name, '', 'not-editable-cell', {editable: false, edithidden: true});
grid.setCell(rowid, model.name, '', 'not-editable-cell', {editoptions: { readonly: 'readonly', disabled: 'disabled' }});
}
}
}
}
}
But the editoptions don't seem to do anything with this.
Any ideas how to do this?
OK thanks for explaining about Form editing. Here's an example of how to prevent edits on certain records for jqGrid with form editing:
Start with this example of jqGrid form edit: http://www.ok-soft-gmbh.com/jqGrid/MulticolumnEdit.htm
Use the beforeInitData event to check your data before the edit form is displayed. Note that this is bound to the pager object.
Use getGridParam and getCell methods to get the current value you want. In my example I grabbed the client name
Add your own business logic for checking (I don't allow edits on 'test2')
Return false to prevent the edit form from popping up.
This example only handles edit, not insert or delete.
Replace $grid.jqGrid("navGrid", "#pager",...) from the example with this:
$grid.jqGrid("navGrid", "#pager", {view: true},
// Events for edit
{
beforeInitData: function (formid) {
var selectedRow = jQuery("#list").jqGrid('getGridParam','selrow'); //get selected rows
var selectedClient = $("#list").jqGrid('getCell', selectedRow, 'name');
if(selectedClient == 'test2')
{
alert('You are not allowed to edit records for client "' + selectedClient + '"');
return false;
}
}
},
// Events for add
{
beforeShowForm: function (formid) {
}
}
);
You didn't provide much information about how you're updating rows (there are various methods as described in JQGrid web page demos, but I took a guess as to a possible solution. I started with the example on the bottom of this page (trirand's web site wiki for inline_editing) http://www.trirand.com/jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:inline_editing and made a few changes.
Added a new data column securityGroup, and put in data like 'A', 'B', 'C'
Displayed the new data column in the grid
The example used the onSelectRow event to start editing a row if you clicked on a new row. I updated this callback to check the value of row['securityGroup'], and only start .editRow if it's in securityGroupA
JSFiddle at http://jsfiddle.net/brianwoelfel/52rrunar/
Here's the callback:
onSelectRow: function(id){
var row = $(this).getLocalRow(id);
if(id && id!==lastsel2){
jQuery('#rowed5').restoreRow(lastsel2);
if(row['securityGroup'] == 'A') {
jQuery('#rowed5').editRow(id,true);
}
lastsel2=id;
}
},
If this method won't work for you, please provide more information about how you're currently doing edits with jqGrid. This example obviously is very trivial and doesn't even post to PHP or mysql or anything.
In case it will be helpful for others, here is how I am implementing Read Only rows in Form Editing mode, based on a column which designates what level of access the user has to each row:
In editoptions, use the beforeShowForm event, like so:
beforeShowForm: function (formid) {
console.log('Checking for READONLY '+formid.name);
var selectedRow = jQuery("#list1").jqGrid('getGridParam','selrow'); //get selected rows
var selRole = $("#list1").jqGrid('getCell', selectedRow, 'ACCROLE');
if(selRole == 'N' || selRole == 'S' || selRole == 'R')
{
//$("<div>Sorry, you do not have access to edit this record.</div>").dialog({title: "Access Denied"});
formid.find("input,select,textarea")
.prop("readonly", "readonly")
.addClass("ui-state-disabled")
.closest(".DataTD")
.prev(".CaptionTD")
.prop("disabled", true)
.addClass("ui-state-disabled");
formid.parent().find('#sData').hide();
var title=$(".ui-jqdialog-title","#edithd"+"list1").html();
title+=' - READONLY VIEW';
$(".ui-jqdialog-title","#edithd"+"list1").html(title);
formid.prepend('<span style="color: Red; font-size: 1em; font-weight: bold;">You viewing READONLY data.</span>');
}

How to disable hyperlinks in jQGrid row

I am using a custom formatter to create hyperlinks in one of the columns of my grid.
In my code, there are cases when I need to disable the selected row. The row disabling works as I want it to, but the hyperlink for that row is not disabled. I can not select the row and all the other column values are displayed as grey colored to indicate that the row is disabled. The only column whose content does not change color is the one having links.
Any ideas on how to disable links?
This is my loadComplete function:
loadComplete: function (data) {
var ids =jQuery("#list").jqGrid('getDataIDs');
for(var i=0;i < ids.length;i++){
var rowId = ids[i];
var mod = jQuery("#list").jqGrid('getCell',ids[i],'mod');
if(mod=='y'){
jQuery("#jqg_list_"+rowId).attr("disabled", true);
$("#list").jqGrid('setRowData',ids[i],false, {weightfont:'bold',color:'silver'});
var iCol = getColumnIndexByName.call(this, 'adate');
$(this).jqGrid('doInEachRow', function (row, rowId, localRowData) {
$(row.cells[iCol]).children("a").click(function (e) {
e.preventDefault();
// any your code here
alert("No Good");
return false;
});
});
}
}
}
I want the links disabled in all the rows where the value of the column mod=y
You can try to use onClick callback of dynamicLink formatter described here, here and here. It gives you maximum flexibility. Inside of onClick callback you can test something like $(e.target).closest("tr.jqgrow").hasClass("not-editable-row") and just do nothing in the case.

MVC3 WebGrid Row Select Checkbox

I searched all over and can't seem to find the answer.
I have a MVC3 project with a WebGrid on it. The first column is a Select that is currently using the normal item.GetSelectLink to create a link to select that row.
I want this to be a checkbox instead of the test "Select". When the user hits the checkbox I want that row in the grid to be selected and the box to become "checked".
I would like the checked and unchecked states to be images that I provide.
How do I do this?
Unless you're doing something fancy with Ajax, the "select" link refreshes the page with "Selected=index" added to the query string. That would be an unusual experience, because people aren't used to checkboxes triggering a page reload.
You could do something like this, which completely mimics the "Select" link functionality. First add the checkbox to the row:
grid.Column(
format: (item) => #Html.Raw("<input class='select' type='checkbox'" + ((grid.SelectedRow == item) ? "checked" : "") + " />")
)
Then add some Javascript to handle the checkbox clicks:
var index = 1;
$("input.select").each(function () {
$(this).data('row', index);
$(this).click(function () { window.location = "?Selected=" + $(this).data('row'); });
index++;
});

Using jQGrid and jQUery tabs how to oprimize the number of grids

I have 3 different tabs where i am displaying data using jQGrids(each tab contain one grid).
But i just thought that my grids are completely the same, only the difference is that they using different url to get data.
So I have three similar girds on each tab only with different urls:
First: url: '/Home/GetData?id=1' Second: url: '/Home/GetData?id=2' and Third: url: '/Home/GetData?id=3'
So i was thinking that may be i may declare grid only once and than on each tab click a can pass the url to load data? So on each tab click jQGrid will be populating from the new url.
May be some one may have any ideas about that?
Or may be some one may have better ideas how to reduce "jQGrid copy-paste" in that case?
UPDATE 0:
Nearly get it work i mean it is working but there is one small problem,
When i am switching tabs the header of the grid getting lost...and some jqgrid formatting as well.
here is my code:
$("#tabs").tabs({
show: function (event, ui) {
if (ui.index == 0) {
//$("#Grid1").appendTo("#tab1");
//$("#Grid1Pager").appendTo("#tab1");
//When Appending only pager and grid div, header getting lost so i've append the whole grid html instead
$("#gbox_Grid1").appendTo("#tab1");
changeGrid("#Grid1", 1);
}
else if (ui.index == 1) {
//$("#Grid1").appendTo("#tab2");
//$("#Grid1Pager").appendTo("#tab2");
$("#gbox_Grid1").appendTo("#tab2");
changeGrid("#Grid1", 2);
}
else if (ui.index == 2) {
//$("#Grid1").appendTo("#tab3");
//$("#Grid1Pager").appendTo("#tab3");
$("#gbox_Grid1").appendTo("#tab3");
changeGrid("#Grid1", 3);
}
}
});
function changeGrid(grid, id) {
$(grid).jqGrid('setGridParam', {
url: '/Home/GetData?id=' + id
});
$(grid).trigger('reloadGrid');
}
UPDATE 1
All right, i've changed the code to append the whole grid instead of appending grid div and pager only. So it is working like that.
You can basically make the tabs as regular buttons that will call some function which sets new URL parameter to the grid and reloads it.
The function should be something like this:
function changeGrid(grid, id) {
$(grid).jqGrid('setGridParam', {
url: '/Home/GetData?id=' + id, page: 1
});
$(grid).trigger('reloadGrid');
}
Note that I set the page to 1. Keep in mind that you might need to set the default sorting column or something similar depending on your solution.
UPDATE
If you really want to go with the tabs, the 'show' event handler can be simplified.
Try this:
$("#tabs").tabs({
show: function (event, ui) {
var id = ui.index + 1;
$("#gbox_Grid1").appendTo("#tab" + id);
$("#Grid1").jqGrid('setGridParam', {
url: '/Home/GetData?id=' + id
});
$("#Grid1").trigger('reloadGrid');
}
});
