I am trying to call command using symfony Process and command looks like:
$data = escapeshellarg("public\uploads\post_data.txt");
$url = "www.example.com/";
$process = new Process(['ab -n 10 -p '.$data.' -T application/x-www-form-urlencoded -w '. $url . 'test/send']);
$process->run();
When i call this command from terminal it works fine but when i try to call it using symfony command then i am getting:
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. This error is windows terminal error as i know and i think the problem is with \ but i have tried to change it to \\, // and / but not helped.
In my point of view, your approach doesnt work, because new Process needs to be defined in a array, where each piece of the shellcmd is a entry in the array.
So for your case, you should have to write
$process = new Process(['ab', '-n', 10, '-p', $data, '-T', 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded', '-w', $url.'test/send']);
Or try with the fromShellCommandline static function
$process = Process::fromShellCommandline('ab -n 10 -p '.$data.' -T application/x-www-form-urlencoded -w '. $url . 'test/send');

I'm trying to get the value for the bash binary call pg_isready to a bash variable
I've tried the following in my script:
#!/bin/bash
haspostgresdb = ${pg_isready -h "ipaddress"}
echo $haspostgresbd
haspostgresdb = ${pg_isready -h ipaddress}
echo $haspostgresbd
haspostgresdb = ${pg_isready -hipaddress}
echo $haspostgresbd
haspostgresdb = ${pg_isready -h"ipaddress"}
echo $haspostgresbd
All return bad substitution as the response. And I did some research and it looks like im doing it correctly
Any suggestions?
Use command substitution and get rid of blanks in the assign command:
haspostgresdb="$(pg_isready -h "ipaddress")"
I've been trying for a while now to find a way in Powershell to take a list of files and upload them to a URL. (ive been able to do it in Unix Bash no problem).
However, I think there are issues with the parameters passing in and the URI building - causing a 500 internal server Error.
What I currently have is this:
$logfiles = "\\location\trace\logs"
$buildName = "NewBuild"
$EngineName = "DefaultEngine"
$request = "http://localhost:9005/parser/singleUploadTracerLib.do?
blockingUpload=true&autocommit=true&tracerSetName=$buildName&$EngineName"
foreach($f in $logfiles | Get-ChildItem) {
Invoke-WebRequest -Uri $Url -Verbose -Method PUT `
-InfileĀ $f.FullName -ContentType 'application/octet-stream'
}
When I do this in bash - i have no issues (see below for comparison) so i assume I need to pass in the prams another way?
In Bash(works):
ls -N ${pathToLogs} | grep clean | sort | xargs -I {} echo "-F
inputs[]=#${pathToLogs}{}" | xargs curl -X POST
"${Url}/parser/singleUploadTracerLib.do?
blockingUpload=true&autocommit=true&
tracerSetName=${buildName}&EngineName=${engineName}"
any kind person got any ideas? it would be much appreciated.
I'm trying to write an npm script that will execute an ssh shell command. Currently it's working by executing an osascript command to open a Terminal window and run the command.
I'd like to change this to execute the command in the current terminal. The script is including both shelljs and executive. The script ends without anything happening when I use executive. With shelljs I get:
Pseudo-terminal will not be allocated because stdin is not a terminal.
the input device is not a TTY
The command being executed is: ssh -i [ssh-key] -t ubuntu#[ip-address] eval $(base64 -D <<< [command in base64])
The base64 command is sudo docker exec -i -t $(sudo docker ps -aqf "ancestor=' + containerName + '") /bin/bash
If I output the command and copy and paste it, it will work as expected, sshing into a remote machine and running a docker exec command.
If I remove the -t option I don't get the warning messages but there's no output in the console and the script hangs (I assume it's running the command in the background with no output). If I remove the eval ... part I get an output that looks like what you'd see when sshing into a server but without the input terminal.
What can I do to execute this command in the same terminal or in a new tab. If I have to use an osascript command to do this, that's fine as well. I'll be executing this command from the terminal in PhpStorm though.
Edit
Here's the block of code:
var execCommand = 'sudo docker exec -i -t $(sudo docker ps -aqf "ancestor=nginx") /bin/bash';
var buffer = new Buffer(execCommand);
var encoded = buffer.toString('base64');
var cmd = "ssh -i " + this.keyPath + " -t ubuntu#" + ip + " eval $(base64 -D <<< " + encoded + ") ";
shell.exec(cmd);
Edit 2
I can ssh into the machine successfully and get a command prompt but I'm getting a the input device is not a TTY error now when I add the eval command.
var docker_exec = 'sudo docker exec -it $(sudo docker ps -aqf "ancestor=' + containerName + '") /bin/bash';
var encoded = new Buffer(docker_exec).toString('base64');
var sshTerm = spawn('ssh', [
'-i',
this.keyPath,
'ubuntu#' + ip,
'eval',
'eval $(base64 -D <<< ' + encoded + ')'
], {
stdio: 'inherit',
shell: true
});
sshTerm.on('exit', function() {
process.exit(0);
});
I checked and it shelljs.exec is good for non TTY commands. For TTY based command you can use normal spawn method. Below is a sample code that works great for me
var spawn = require('child_process').spawn;
var sshTerm = spawn('ssh', ["vagrant#192.168.33.100", ""], {
stdio: 'inherit'
});
// listen for the 'exit' event
// which fires when the process exits
sshTerm.on('exit', function(code, signal) {
if (code === 0) {
// process completed successfully
} else {
// handle error
}
});

In my Linux enviroment works fine but I installed NET-SNMP in a Windows Server because there is where we need the files to be but I can seem to make it work I did this:
$IPS = (10.96.90.2)
$TIEMPO = get-date -f yyyy-MM-dd
Foreach ($IPVAR in $IPS) {snmpget -v 2c -c public -m ALL $IPVAR 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.1.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.4.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.2.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.3.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.1.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.2.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.3.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.4.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.5.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.6.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.7.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.8.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.9.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.10.1 >> "$IPVAR_$TIEMPO".txt}
If I run only the "snmpget" command it works fine but I have troubles with the scripting part here.
Hope you can help me.
Regards,
Try the code below (this hasn't been tested as I don't have snmpget, but the method works with other command line apps):
$IPS = #('172.27.41.202', '172.27.41.203')
$IPS | ForEach-Object {
$snmpgetParams = #(
'-v', '2c' ,'-c' ,'public' ,'-m' ,'ALL', $_, '1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.1.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.4.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.2.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.1.3.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.1.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.2.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.3.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.4.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.5.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.6.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.7.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.8.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.9.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.41413.10.3.4.1.10.1'
)
$TIEMPO = Get-Date -f yyyy-MM-dd
$FILENAME="$_`_$TIEMPO`.txt"
snmpget #snmpgetParams | Set-Content $FILENAME -Force
}
Line 1 declares an array of IP addresses.
Line 2 starts a foreach loop which will iterate through each IP in the $IPS array.
Lines 3,4,5 create an array of parameters to pass to the snmpget command. The $_ parameter is the current IP address within the loop.
Line 7 sets the $TIEMPO variable with the date.
Line 8 sets the $FILENAME variable with the IP address, followed by an underscore, followed by the date. The backticks ` tell PowerShell to not treat the following characters as part of the preceding variable name. An example filename: 172.27.41.202_2016-08-31.txt
Line 10 calls the snmpget command. The #snmpgetParams 'splats' the parameter array. The output is piped into the Set-Content command, which, with the Force option creates or overwrites the file contents for that IP & date.
Line 11 closes the loop.
I know this is a duplicate, but my question was not answered in any other threads. the output of sudo cpanm WWW::Mechanize is to long to put in tread. pastebin: 3BYUtSss
I tried executing a perl script, and I get this error:

In case you need it, here is my perl script's contents:

my ($get,$host,$title);
while (<>) {

These look to be the key lines in the output from cpanm, down at the bottom.
! Installing the dependencies failed: Installed version (3.59) of CGI is not in range '4.08'
! Bailing out the installation for WWW-Mechanize-1.75.
Looks like you need to install a higher version of the CGI distribution.
The key lines in the cpanm output are:
Building and testing CGI-4.21 ... FAIL
! Installing CGI failed. See /Users/skylerspaeth/.cpanm/work/1440436409.90704/build.log for details. Retry with --force to force install it.
So look in /Users/skylerspaeth/.cpanm/work/1440436409.90704/build.log and see what the problem is. If that log is no longer there, you may need to run cpanm again, which will generate another build.log.
You find the key lines in cpanm output by searching for "fail". Usually, it'll point you at a build.log file for further details.
