Get ProcessGroup from processor - apache-nifi

Is there an API to get a ProcessGroup by id from a custom processor or an ExecuteScript processor?
I know that it is possible by using the REST-API, but for security reasons, I don't have the chance to use the credentials to invoke the API from a service.
Regards

If you use a InvokeScriptedProcessor using groovy you can use
context.procNode.processGroup
from the ProcessContext
If you want to extract all the parents in a breadcrum way, you can use this:
import groovy.json.*;
import org.apache.nifi.groups.*;
class GroovyProcessor implements Processor {
def REL_SUCCESS = new Relationship.Builder()
.name("success")
.description('FlowFiles that were successfully processed are routed here').build()
def ComponentLog log
#Override
void initialize(ProcessorInitializationContext context) {
log = context.logger
}
#Override
Set<Relationship> getRelationships() {
return [REL_SUCCESS] as Set
}
void executeScript(ProcessSession session, ProcessContext context) {
def flowFile = session.get()
if (!flowFile) { return }
def breadcrumb = getBreadCrumb(context.procNode.processGroup) + '->' + context.getName()
flowFile = session.putAttribute(flowFile, 'breadcrumb', breadcrumb)
// transfer
session.transfer(flowFile, this.REL_SUCCESS)
}
// Recursive funtion that gets the breadcrumb
String getBreadCrumb(processGroup) {
def breadCrumb = ''
if(processGroup.parent != null)
breadCrumb = getBreadCrumb(processGroup.parent) + '->'
return breadCrumb + processGroup.name
}
#Override
void onTrigger(ProcessContext context, ProcessSessionFactory sessionFactory) throws ProcessException {
def session = sessionFactory.createSession()
try {
executeScript( session, context)
session.commit()
}
catch (final Throwable t) {
log.error('{} failed to process due to {}; rolling back session', [this, t] as Object[])
session.rollback(true)
throw t
}
}
#Override
PropertyDescriptor getPropertyDescriptor(String name) { null }
#Override
List<PropertyDescriptor> getPropertyDescriptors() {
return [] as List
}
#Override
void onPropertyModified(PropertyDescriptor descriptor, String oldValue, String newValue) { }
#Override
Collection<ValidationResult> validate(ValidationContext context) { null }
#Override
String getIdentifier() { null }
}
processor = new GroovyProcessor()

Using Baggage in OpenTelemetry Spring application

I have a spring boot application where i have instrumented my code using automatic instrumentation.
Now in my application i am trying to attach a baggage in the traces or some specific span.
I know it uses contextPropagation. but i am not able to implement how contextPropagator, baggage and span work together.
Here is my relevant code implementation:
#WithSpan
private void doSomeWorkNewSpan() {
logger.info("Doing some work In New span");
Span span = Span.current();
ContextPropagators contextPropagators = new ContextPropagators() {
#Override
public TextMapPropagator getTextMapPropagator() {
return null;
}
};
Context context = new Context() {
#Override
public <V> V get(ContextKey<V> contextKey) {
return null;
}
#Override
public <V> Context with(ContextKey<V> contextKey, V v) {
return null;
}
};
Baggage baggage = new Baggage() {
#Override
public int size() {
return 0;
}
#Override
public void forEach(BiConsumer<? super String, ? super BaggageEntry> biConsumer) {
}
#Override
public Map<String, BaggageEntry> asMap() {
return null;
}
#Override
public String getEntryValue(String s) {
return null;
}
#Override
public BaggageBuilder toBuilder() {
return null;
}
};
baggage.storeInContext(context);
// span.storeInContext();
span.setAttribute("crun","yes");
span.addEvent("app.processing2.start", atttributes("321"));
span.addEvent("app.processing2.end", atttributes("321"));
}
private Attributes atttributes(String id) {
return Attributes.of(AttributeKey.stringKey("app.id"), id);
}

xposed hook all method of ViewGroup crash

I want to hook all method of ViewGroup, so write below code:
final Class<?> mViewGroup = XposedHelpers.findClass("android.view.ViewGroup", lpparam.classLoader);
for (final Method method : mViewGroup.getDeclaredMethods()) {
if (true == Modifier.isAbstract(method.getModifiers())){
XposedBridge.log("skip abstract:" + method.getName());
continue;
}
XposedBridge.log("----" + method.getName());
XposedBridge.hookMethod(method, methodHook);
}
final StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
XC_MethodHook methodHook = new XC_MethodHook() {
#Override
protected void beforeHookedMethod(XC_MethodHook.MethodHookParam param) throws Throwable {
dumpParams(param);
}
#Override
protected void afterHookedMethod(XC_MethodHook.MethodHookParam param) throws Throwable {
//param.setResult(false);
XposedBridge.log("after:" + param.getResult());
}
};
private void dumpParams(XC_MethodHook.MethodHookParam param) {
sb.setLength(0);
sb.append(param.method.getName()).append("(");
for (Object o:param.args) {
String typnam = "";
String value = "null";
if (o != null) {
typnam = o.getClass().getName();
value = o.toString();
}
sb.append(typnam).append(":").append(value).append(", ");
}
XposedBridge.log(sb.toString());
}
But when I run it, hook class sounds fine, but when execute it crashed at android.view.View$AttachInfo:
am_crash: `java.lang.IllegalAccessError,Illegal class access: 'EdHooker45' attempting to access 'android.view.View$AttachInfo' (declaration of 'EdHooker45' appears in /data/user_de/0/.../1129433416.jar),NULL,120]`

Is it possible to Fetch user location from a Worker class?

I have to schedule a work to fetch user current location and update to server in a given interval (Even the app is not running).
I am trying to WorkManagerAPI to implement the functionality.
Is it possible to fetch the current location of the user from the doWork() method ?
locationManager.requestLocationUpdates(
provider, timeInterval, travelDistance, locationListener
);
When I request Location updates from the doWork() it throws below error.
java.lang.RuntimeException: Can't create handler inside thread that has not called Looper.prepare()
As per my understanding, when implementing LocationManager.requestLocationUpdates() on a Worker thread, the call is being made on a non-UI, background thread created by WorkManager. LocationManager.requestLocationUpdates() is an asynchronous call possibly on another background thread. To handle the callbacks defined by the LocationListener, the calling thread must stay alive. Thats why the exception says,
Can't create handler inside thread that has not called Looper.prepare()
Check the code snippet below. Please consider this as pseudocode, I haven't tested this piece of code.
public class LocationWorker extends Worker {
String LOG_TAG = "LocationWorker";
private Context mContext;
private MyHandlerThread mHandlerThread;
public LocationWorker(#NonNull Context context, #NonNull WorkerParameters workerParams) {

Adding a new field to body of the request from Netflix Zuul Pre-filter

I'm trying to add a new field to request's body, in a Zuul Pre-filter.
I'm using one of the Neflix's Zuul sample projects from here, and my filter's implementation is very similar to UppercaseRequestEntityFilter from this sample.
I was able to apply a transformation such as uppercase, or even to completely modify the request, the only inconvenient is that I'm not able to modify the content of body's request that has a length more than the original length of the body's request.
This is my filter's implementation:
#Component
public class MyRequestEntityFilter extends ZuulFilter {
public String filterType() {
return "pre";
}
public int filterOrder() {
return 10;
}
public boolean shouldFilter() {
RequestContext context = getCurrentContext();
return true;
}
public Object run() {
try {
RequestContext context = getCurrentContext();
InputStream in = (InputStream) context.get("requestEntity");
if (in == null) {
in = context.getRequest().getInputStream();
}
String body = StreamUtils.copyToString(in, Charset.forName("UTF-8"));
body = body.replaceFirst("qqq", "qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq");
// body = body.toUpperCase();
context.set("requestEntity", new ServletInputStreamWrapper(body.getBytes("UTF-8")));
}
catch (IOException e) {
rethrowRuntimeException(e);
}
return null;
}
}
This is the request that I'm doing:
This is the response that I'm receiving:
I was able to obtain what I wanted, using the implementation of PrefixRequestEntityFilter, from sample-zuul-examples:
#Component
public class MyRequestEntityFilter extends ZuulFilter {
public String filterType() {
return "pre";
}
public int filterOrder() {
return 10;
}
public boolean shouldFilter() {
RequestContext context = getCurrentContext();
return true;
}
public Object run() {
try {
RequestContext context = getCurrentContext();
InputStream in = (InputStream) context.get("requestEntity");
if (in == null) {
in = context.getRequest().getInputStream();
}
String body = StreamUtils.copyToString(in, Charset.forName("UTF-8"));
body = body.replaceFirst("qqq", "qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq");
byte[] bytes = body.getBytes("UTF-8");
context.setRequest(new HttpServletRequestWrapper(getCurrentContext().getRequest()) {
#Override
public ServletInputStream getInputStream() throws IOException {
return new ServletInputStreamWrapper(bytes);
}
#Override
public int getContentLength() {
return bytes.length;
}
#Override
public long getContentLengthLong() {
return bytes.length;
}
});
}
catch (IOException e) {
rethrowRuntimeException(e);
}
return null;
}
}

Spring Mvc with Thread

Hi My thread class is showing null pointer exception please help me to resolve
#Component
public class AlertsToProfile extends Thread {
public final Map<Integer, List<String>> userMessages = Collections.synchronizedMap(new HashMap<Integer, List<String>>());
#Autowired
ProfileDAO profileDAO;
private String categoryType;
private String dataMessage;
public String getCategoryType() {
return categoryType;
}
public void setCategoryType(String categoryType) {
this.categoryType = categoryType;
}
public String getDataMessage() {
return dataMessage;
}
public void setDataMessage(String dataMessage) {
this.dataMessage = dataMessage;
}
public void run() {
String category=getCategoryType();
String data= getDataMessage();
List<Profile> all = profileDAO.findAll();
if (all != null) {
if (category == "All" || category.equalsIgnoreCase("All")) {
for (Profile profile : all) {
List<String> list = userMessages.get(profile.getId());
if (list == null ) {
ArrayList<String> strings = new ArrayList<String>();
strings.add(data);
userMessages.put(profile.getId(), strings);
} else {
list.add(data);
}
}
}
}
}
and my service method is as follows
#Service
public class NoteManager
{
#Autowired AlertsToProfile alertsToProfile;
public void addNote(String type, String message, String category) {
alertsToProfile.setCategoryType(category);
String data = type + "," + message;
alertsToProfile.setDataMessage(data);
alertsToProfile.start();
System.out.println("addNotes is done");
}
But when i call start() method am getting null pointer exception please help me. I am new to spring with thread concept
It pretty obvious: you instantiate your thread directly, as opposed to letting spring create AlertsToProfile and auto wire your instance.
To fix this, create a Runnable around your run() method and embed that into a method, something like this:
public void startThread() {
new Thread(new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run() {
// your code in here
}}).start();
}
you will want to bind the Thread instance to a field in AlertsToProfile in order to avoid leaks and stop the thread when you're done.
