How to run Xcode 10.2 Simulator - xcode

Overnight my Xcode has update to 10.2 and ever since I can't run the simulator anymore. Affected seems every Simulator regardless of Model or iOS Version.
Xcode is building and showing "Running on iPhone X", but I can't see a simulator.
I have the Simulator Icon in the Dock, but clicking on it leads to Xcode.
"Show all Windows" on the Icon just brings me "No Available Windows" on my Screens.
I have restarted Xcode and iMac. Help is very appreciated.

In the Simulators and Devices window, select each simulator in turn and delete it until there are no simulators. Quit Xcode. Restart the computer. Now create a simulator and build and run to it.

Right Click Simulator Icon in the Dock and click Show, It might be hidden for some reason.

Right-click on the app in the dock, and click Show.
Right-click and click Quit, then relaunch the simulator again.

iOS 9.0, Xamarin Studio, "waiting for debugger to connect..."

I have been using Xamarin.iOS platform with iPad with iOS 8.3 simulator successfully until I have updated Xcode 7 with iOS 9.0. When I select the simulator and run it, it keeps showing
waiting for debugger to connect...
nothing comes out at the end. Any solution?
By the way, why I cannot able to see ios 8 simulator options in the Xamarin after I updated the Xcode?
Was having the same issue. Here is what helped me. Open up xcode go to Devices under Window menu. Select the simulator device you are trying to use. Right click and delete it. Then add it again, bottom left + button. Hope this helps.
To solve this issue, follow these steps:
Open XCode and go to Locations options under the Preferences menu
Xcode > Preferences > Locations
Check command line tools is selected. If not, select from the available list and close the window.
Try to debug the iOS app from Visual Studio again.
I am sorry to say that but it is because of trash in debug/obj folders, I think. You can simply clean and rebuild the project.
Make sure that you have added a provisioning profile to you project.
Info.plist -> Signing -> Automatic Provisioning -> Select yours
I had the same problem and it was solved with this.
For anyone not using an emulator but using an iOS physical device, try updating your software on the device to the latest version. Give Visual Studio a restart, clean, and then build.

Xcode 6 (non-app store) Hangs When Creating New Simulator

After upgrading to the latest release version of Xcode (7.0), I was made aware that further work by me was needed on an older project that is still being developed in Xcode 6.x/Swift 1.2. I downloaded Xcode 6.4 as a dmg from Apple's developer site (the Mac AppStore only installs Xcode 7.0 now), and installed it side-by-side by choosing "keep both" and changing the name from "Xcode 2" to "Xcode 6".
The first time I opened my project and tried to run it on the simulator, I got an alert saying that "Could not connect to simulator" or something similar (didn't write down the exact wording). I had to force-quit both Xcode and the simulator, then relaunched.
This time, I can not select any simulator from the pull down menu beside the schemes. I checked "Window / Devices" and it turns out there is no simulator installed.
If I click on "Add" (+), specify the properties of the simulator and then click "Create", then Xcode hangs and I have to force-quit it again.
Anyone experiencing something similar?
Forget about it, after restarting my mac, it solved itself: all the simulators are there in the pull-down menu.
Always quick-to-post me...

I'm trying to install iOS 8.2 and 8.1 simulators but they fail to install

Can I uninstall them?
You can go to "Window -> Devices" to get a list of devices including simulators. To delete a simulator, with select it and hit ⌫ or right click it and click "Delete".

How to select iOS simulator as destination if no option is available?

I downloaded a project and execute it in my xcode, it have ios device by default in run device selected and have no other option, so xcode complained saying no ios devices are avilabale .... slect ios simulator.
Go to XCode > Preferences > Downloads.
And download simulator
And then when you open XCode, left side top you can select iOS simulator rather than your device.
I have the same problem, it is fixed when I select Deployment Target(General, Deployment Info) from 8.2 to 8.1(drop to a version that I have).

Can't install app on iOS 6 after iOS 7 Xcode update

Recently I downloaded the Xcode update, and tried my app on the iOS 7 simulator, and had to change a few things as expected. I noticed that the update uninstalled the iOS 6 simulator, so I downloaded it again and the 6.1 sim runs fine it seems, until I pressed run in Xcode. It gave me an alert box simply saying "iOS simulator failed to instal the application" with an OK button. the iOS sim was on the home screen with the old version of my app before i started working on it today. Has anybody else had this problem? It didn't give me any other details. Also my deployment target os is 6.1 and pressing build results in a success.
Found another post that says you have to change the "Opens in" bit to Xcode 4.6 in nibs and storyboards. fixed my problem.
