Is there any way to start conversation with bot in ms-teams via deeplinks?
I already searching within https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/concepts/deep-links and trying some links and use it with bot appsID but always failed.
#Memew You could get the link to the bot conversation by right clicking on the Microsoft Teams channel added in the bot framework where you have created your bot.
To expand on #Gousia-MSFT's answer, to find the link I went to Microsoft Azure > Bot Services > Channels and you will see the "Connect to Channels" page.

I am testing a chat bot (built using MS bot framework) in MS teams. The bot is designed for one on one chat but I want to make it available to a group of testers. As such, I've created a team and added the testers as members and the bot as an app. According to the MS documentation my understanding was that if the bot manifest included 'personal' in the scope then any team member should be able to start one on one chat with the bot. However, when searching for the bot in the "to" field of the Chat window some team member can find the bot and others can't. My first thought was that there was delay between when a person was added to the team and when they could access the bot in a one on one chat. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Is there something else I've overlooked that would prevent the bot from showing up for some team members but not others?
#Moe Adding the Bot to a team does not make the bot available to all the members of the team in personal scope. It is still in the teams scope and all the team members will be able to access the bot in the team only. A member of the team should either install the app in personal scope or click on the chat icon by hovering on the bot name in team and click on "Add"
#Gousia-MSFT's answer got me part way to a solution. When hovering over the bot's icon in the Teams chat I didn't get an option to 'add' the bot. However, there was an option to 'chat' with the bot:

I have created bots using the azure portal, which auto creates a bot app resource in azure. When I click on this resource via the portal, I can access the bot by opening the chat window and can try out the bot.
I also created bot using visual studio, published it to the azure web and then configured a 'bot channels registration' bot to use this published bot.
All good so far.
Now I am trying to go through the ready made Microsoft examples from: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/bot-service/dotnet/bot-builder-dotnet-samples?view=azure-bot-service-3.0
I opened the "Create new conversation" link from the above website (https://github.com/Microsoft/BotBuilder-Samples/tree/master/CSharp/core-CreateNewConversation). I scroll down and click on "Deploy to Azure" button and the deploy is successful. How do I access the bot now?
I have tried creating the 'bot channels registration' bot and setting the messaging endpoint to the https://DeployedExampleAzureWebsiteLink/api/messages. Now, when I go into this azure resource, and into the test chat window, my message does not get delivered to the bot, and same issue upon retry aswell.
How do I access this bot please?
When you click deploy to Azure you get an option to fill out the Microsoft App Id and Password.
You are supposed to enter the same App Id and Password you gave while registering the Bot in the Bot channel registration
I am using Microsoft Botframework to publish a bot (Channel Registration). When I try enabling the channels , I see the bot to be working in Slack , Skype, MS Teams & Web chat . However (despite following the steps to enable bot in SFB) I could not get the bot working in Skype for Business. I keep getting the error.
"Sorry, we ran into a problem at our end."
Neither do I see any log to debug.
Waited more than 24 hrs to ensure it is not the sync issue. But issue still remains. Any help appreciated !!
I am not clear with the error as to from which end it is being thrown.
I need you to follow the below steps:
Publish Bot in azure as an app service, through VS if you are coding through c#.
Create a "Bot channel registration" in azure and connect the above app service and Bot channel registration(simple use the URL of the app service append it with /api/messages and insert the same as messaging endpoint in Bot channel registration).
use the app id and app secret in bot solution and republish the app service.
Inside Bot channel registration click on channel and enable it for Skype for business(you will find your BOT in SFB using the credentials you have used to create the bot channel registration).
Finally got it working. What i noticed is the following
I faced the issue when I used the SIP URI as somebot#mydomain.com to register the bot in my tenant.
And i got it working when I used the SIP URI as somebot#mydomain.onmicrosoft.com.
Unsure on the reasoning though :)

I've created a bot (a simple echo bot) and deployed it to Azure. Everything works well now and I can talk to the bot in the desktop Skype client (Windows 10 app).
However, I can't seem to be able to add the bot to an existing group chat. When I click on the add button the list of contacts to add doesn't have my bot in it, which is weird because I've added it to my contacts.

^ According to that post I need to create a "private chat" with my bot and then I'll be able to add it to group chats, but I have no idea how to do that.
I haven't published my bot, but I did enable "Allow adding to a group" in bot settings on https://dev.botframework.com.
Any idea why it's not working?
Private chat is talking directly to your bot. If you have added it to your contacts, it should be easy to open a direct conversation with it by double clicking.
Then you can add people in the conversation using the top right button:

Note for other people asking the same question (but you already mentioned that you did it), don't forget to activate the group conversation for your bot in botframework portal, in Skype channel settings

I have created a bot application and published it to azure. When I test this bot using Emulator it works fine but when I use the web chat control it doesn't show anything . I am using the correct app-secret .

The first thing to check: If you go into your bot management page on https://dev.botframework.com/bots and press the blue "Test" button on the bottom left ("Test connection to your bot"), does it indicate that the bot accepts the connection by the bot framework middleware?
If not, then there might be something wrong with your bot. It will actually give you some indications. If it's "forbidden", then you might have a problem with authentication (check your appId and appPassword). If it's an error, then your bot might have a code issue / exception.
If the connection has been accepted, check if your web chat credentials have been validated. To do so, click on the "Edit" link next to the Web Chat channel on the bot management page. Try regenerating your credentials and (most importantly) make sure you checked "Enable this bot on Web Chat" and confirm.
