nothing happens when I attempt to textout to a transparent image - lazarus

I am using Lazarus.
I have put 2 images on a form and synchronized their positions and sizes.
I can textout to both images, and after I made the ontop image transparent I can see the combined content of both images.
I can add further text to the bottom image and see it, but I can't see text I try to add to the transparent image.
I used the following code to make the top image transparent
image2.picture.Bitmap.TransparentColor:=clWhite;
image2.transparent:=true;
I guess I need to play with the image bitmap, but I can't find a solution that is not using other software.
Can someone help me with this please?

photoshop saving image without white background

i can't remove the white background when saving as png or jpeg.
tried everything what suggested me on the web, but still get the diminsions i set up as whitebackground.
How can i save image without the background?

if you want to remove all the white from the picture, better go to color range and sample white. layer via cut and delete the layer. and save it in png as #cybernatic.nomad said, supports transparency.
Make sure you have created your image on a new layer and delete (or hide) the first white layer. I just created a simple text on a new layer with a transparent background and then loaded the image back into Photoshop to confirm that it works properly. As per previous comment I use .png format to preserve transparency.

Logo looks different after uploading

Hi, in the first picture you can see what logo I want to upload.
But, after uploading it changes it's color specification a little bit, shown in the second picture (right down corner). It adds the black color.
Could you please help me out?
The code I'm using:

The problem is in the original png. Here, the top of the logo is set as transparent while the bottom is white. So, when you plot the images using imshow, you have this effect. Either you change the logo png or you can pretend as this problem never existed by setting the background color as white when you load the image.
logo4 = imread('logo4.png,'BackgroundColor',[1 1 1]);
imshow(logo4)
The problem is still there, it´s just someone else´s problem now.

Parsys on top of an image

There is requirement where parsys should be added on top of an image. It is like a background image with the provision of parsys so that other components can be dragged and dropped on top of it. I am using html5smartimage for image component. But, no clue yet on how I can get the parsys on top of the image. Please help if you find any ideas. Thanks.
is the image authorable? If so, how do you intend to provide click-area for the authors to change the image vs edit items in the parsys.
If the image isn't authorable, just target the CSS for your parsys and set the image.
If the image is authorable, in edit mode you want the image to be distinct from the parsys and have separate clickable areas. Then in preview/disabled modes you would generate the actually desired markup & CSS to position the parsys content over the background image.

Convert StdPicture Transparency Colour to White

I am using a CodeJock ImageManager component to hold a variety of images. I want to put one of these images into a FlexGrid Cell.
The Images I have are Png format and have transparent backgrounds so when I load the image into the grid like so:

ImageManagerControl.Icons.GetImage(ImageNum, 16).CreatePicture(xtpImageNormal)
the background which in the original image was transparent is now black:
(the same happens if I load the image into a PictureBox using the above method)
According to the documentation CreatePicture returns an StdPicture object, is there some way I can convert this image (using BitBlt perhaps) so that the black is white? I'm not sure if this even possible?
I only need to do this with about three images so if I have to load them into an ImageList or something else first that would be ok.
I'm not sure if this helps at all, but I've been playing around with the PictureBox. I put two picture boxes on a form, put a bmp file (this only works with bmp files, so it might not be helpful to you), and did this:
Picture2.PaintPicture Picture1.Picture, 0, 0, opcode:=vbNotSrcCopy

Replaceing color on a image realtime

First of all I will explain my situation so you can know my problem a little better. I'm making a HTML5 app. I have a canvas, and using a color picker you can change the color of the canvas. Now i have a picture which I want to put on the canvas but that pictures color needs to be changed using a color picker. So i need to replace, lets say, black color on that picture and put it on the canvas so it dosnt screw up the background.
So that will look like this:
1st color picker- changes the color of the canvas
2nd color picker - replaces the black color on the image with the one in the color picker and puts it on the canvas
Now my problem is how to replace the color on the image without reloading the page.
My only condition is no using silverlight, flash, java or any other similar tehnology that need 3rd party software to be installed on the device.

My approach with a JS only solution could be:
Loading the image inside a canvas element. Look at the MDC canvas tutorial
Trigger the user click on the canvas and get the pixel color (see links below to know how to get the color of a pixel) and look at this answer to get the mouse position
Substitute all the colors in the canvas with the one the user pick. For some examples about pixel manipulation:

After some canvas experiment I notice that mostly in all the browser the pixel manipulation with canvas could be very slow also with small images. So another experiment to do could be to get the pixel color and then:
pass the color information to a PHP (or another server side script) with an AJAX call
do the color manipulation with an image library like GD or imagemagik
return back your image with the Ajax response
reload your canvas with the modified version of the image
