Getting Error in codeigniter ajax dropdown changing
[![enter image description here][1]][1]
function fun1(sid) {
//alert(sid);
var obj;
if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
obj = new XMLHttpRequest();
} else {
obj = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")
}
obj.open("post", "https://99shopin.com/register/getcity?val=" + sid, true);
obj.send();
obj.onreadystatechange = function() {
if (obj.readyState == 4) {
document.getElementById('div1').innerHTML = obj.responseText;
} else {
document.getElementById('div1').innerHTML = "";
}
}
}

Try this, and check Is there still an error?
function fun1(sid){
$.ajax({
beforeSend: function () {
},
complete: function () {
},
type: "POST",
url: "<?php echo site_url('register/getcity'); ?>",
data: ({val: sid}),
//dataType: "json",
success: function (data) {
document.getElementById('div1').innerHTML = data.responseText;
}
});
}

error in image while uploading through ajax

I am trying to upload image through ajax. at theclient side i am using this code.
$(document).on('change','.image_upload',function(){
readURL(this);
});
///
function readURL(input) {
if (input.files && input.files[0]) {
var reader = new FileReader();
reader.onload = function (e) {
save_profile_image(e.target.result);
}
reader.readAsDataURL(input.files[0]);
}
else {
swal("Sorry - you're browser doesn't support the FileReader API");
}
}
function save_profile_image(image_data){
var image_code = encodeURIComponent(image_data);
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: '<?=base_url()."Dashboard/new_valet_picture";?>',
data:'valet_image='+image_code,
success: function(data){
alert('data');
}
});
}
while at the client side i am using codeigniter to save this as image. Image file is created but it won't display because it contains errors.Here is my CI function where this ajax request is being sent.
public function new_valet_picture(){
$user = $this->session->user_id;
$image_data = $this->input->post('valet_image');
$name= "valet_".$user.time().".png";
$profile_image = str_replace('data:image/png;base64,', '', $image_data);
$profile_image = str_replace(' ', '+',$profile_image);
$unencodedData=base64_decode($profile_image);
$pth = './uploads/valet_images/'.$name;
file_put_contents($pth, $unencodedData);
echo $name;
}
can anybody figure out where i am wrong.
you just wrong to pass parameter in ajax request :
this is your code
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: '<?=base_url()."Dashboard/new_valet_picture";?>',
data:'valet_image='+image_code,
success: function(data){
alert('data');
}
});
data:'valet_image='+image_code, is wrong pass and change that to data : {vallet_image : image_code}.
just changing the position of encodeURIComponent() helped me
///
function readURL(input) {
if (input.files && input.files[0]) {
var reader = new FileReader();
reader.onload = function (e) {
save_profile_image(encodeURIComponent(e.target.result));
}
reader.readAsDataURL(input.files[0]);
}
else {
swal("Sorry - you're browser doesn't support the FileReader API");
}
}
function save_profile_image(image_data){
var image_code = image_data;
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: '<?=base_url()."Dashboard/new_valet_picture";?>',
data:'valet_image='+image_code,
success: function(data){
alert('data');
}
});
}

Ajax call to Webmethod, cross domain

I have two Asp projects. On close of a dialog box in project A I am trying to call a static webmethod in project B using ajax call.
Instead of calling the Webmethod it is calling the PageLoad.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
WebMethod
[WebMethod]
public static string UpdateSession()
{
return "Test";
}
$(function () {
$('div#DialogDiv').on('dialogclose', function (event) {
CloseDialog("http://localhost:1330/Application_Default.aspx/UpdateSession");
return false;
});
});
function CloseDialog(URL) {
jQuery.support.cors = true;
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url: URL,
data: '{}',
contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
dataType: "jsonp",
success: function (response) {
alert("success");
},
failure: function (response) {
alert("Failed to trying to find the method: " + URL );
}
});
return false;
}
Try this with pure javascript
function CloseDialog(URL) {
var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.open("GET", URL);
request.onload = function() {
if (request.status === 200) {
alert(request.responseText);
// to convert to JSON object-> JSON.parse(request.responseText);
} else {
alert("Failed to trying to find the method: " + URL );
}
};
request.send();
return false;
}
With jQuery I would just do this, you don't need more. It should work with cross-domain too.
function CloseDialog(URL) {
$.ajax({
url: URL,
success: function (response) {
jQuery.each(result.list, function(i, val) {
// iterate the JSON object
// val.node;
});
},
failure: function (response) {
alert("Failed to trying to find the method: " + URL );
}
});
return false;
}

$.ajax within jquery plugin not updating variable

Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/gpTpK/
The issue I am having is that the title variable is not updated/changed when the $.ajax is executed, I know that the ajax call is working as I have tried replacing the line
title = $(xml).find("title").text();
with
console.log($(xml).find("title").text());
and sure enough it does return the title however when using the orginal line the variable title doesn't change
I have tried and it does work putting the ajax call outside (function($){})(jQuery);
(function($) {
$.fn.getPost = function(options) {
var $this = $(this);
var defaults = {
method: "html",
blogID: "",
postID: "",
done: null
};
var options = $.extend(defaults, options);
var title;
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url: "http://www.blogger.com/feeds/724793682641096478/posts/default/3551136550258768001",
dataType: "xml",
dataType: 'jsonp',
success: function(xml) {
title = $(xml).find("title").text();
}
});
return $this.each(function() {
if (options.done) {
options.done.call(undefined, title);
}
});
};
})(jQuery);
I have tried the below and i have also tried wrapping the ajax in a function such as getTitle(){ajax code here with return title;}
(function($) {
$.fn.getPost = function(options) {
var $this = $(this);
var defaults = {
method: "html",
blogID: "",
postID: "",
done: null
};
var options = $.extend(defaults, options);
var title;
getAjax();
return $this.each(function() {
if (options.done) {
options.done.call(undefined, title);
}
});
function getAjax() {
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url: "http://www.blogger.com/feeds/724793682641096478/posts/default/3551136550258768001",
dataType: "xml",
dataType: 'jsonp',
async: false,
success: function(xml) {
title = $(xml).find("title").text();
}
});
}
};
})(jQuery);
sorry, I have spent ages trying to figure it (I didn't ask out of laziness :P), regardless here's the solution for those interested :)
(function($) {
$.fn.getPost = function(options) {
var $this = $(this);
var defaults = {
method: "html",
done: null
};
var options = $.extend(defaults, options);
var title;
var sorf;
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url: "http://www.blogger.com/feeds/724793682641096478/posts/default/3551136550258768001",
dataType: "xml",
dataType: 'jsonp',
success: function(xml) {
title = $(xml).find("title").text();
sorf = 1;
},
error: function(){
sorf = 0;
},
complete: function() {
returnvals(sorf);
}
});
function returnvals(sorf) {
if(sorf){
//success
return $this.each(function() {
if (options.done) {
options.done.call(undefined, title);
}
});
}else{// failure}
}
};
})(jQuery);

show ajax-loader.png on a MVC3 form submit in a Jquerymobile application

I have a mobile application with MVC3 and Jquerymobile. At form submission (with ajax function) I want to display loading icon (ajax-loader.png) while submit and redirect.
Thanks!
my ajax function:
$("#add").click(function () {
$.validator.unobtrusive.parse($('form')); //added
if ($("form").valid()) {
var IDs = new Array($("#SelectedProduct").val(), $("#SelectedAccount").val(), $("#SelectedProject").val(), $("#SelectedTask").val(), $("#date").val(), $("#duration").val());
$.ajax({
url: '#Url.Action("SaveLine", "AddLine")',
type: 'post',
data: { ids: IDs },
dataType: 'json',
traditional: true,
success: function (data) {
if (data.success == true) {
$("#ajaxPostMessage").html(data.Success);
$("#ajaxPostMessage").addClass('ajaxMessage').slideDown(function () {
window.location.href = '#Url.Action("Index", "AddLine")';
}).delay(1800)
}
else {
$("#ajaxPostMessage").html(data.Error);
$("#ajaxPostMessage").addClass('ajaxMessage');
$("#ajaxPostMessage").show();
}
}
});
}
return false;
});
I would do something like this:
Ajax = {
Submit: function() {
Ajax.Loading();
//ajax stuff
//Ajax.Message('form complete, blah blah');
},
Loading: function() {
$('#ajax').html('ajax-loader.png');
},
Message: function(msg) [
$('#ajax').html(msg);
}
}

asp.net mvc 3 json does not work

This is my jquery with json
$('#btnVerificationOk').click(function () {
var verId = $('#trans_verification_id').val();
var verCode = $('#trans_verification_code').val();
$.ajax({
url: '/Profile/CompleteTransactions',
type: 'POST',
data: { },
dataType: 'json',
success: function (result) {
alert(result);
},
error: function () {
alert('ERROR ERROR !!!!!!!!!!!!');
}
});
});
And My C# method:
[Authorize]
[HttpPost]
private JsonResult CompleteTransactions()
{
return Json("Done");
}
Its always alerts 'ERROR ERROR !!!!!!!!!!!!' i tried debugging but CompleteTransactions method is not firing
And this is my second json which is bellow and works good
$('#btnTransfareOk').click(function () {
var userName = $('#transfare_username').val();
var amount = $('#transfare_amount').val();
if (userName == '' || amount == '') {
$('#transfare_error_list').html('Please fill boxes.');
} else {
$.ajax({
url: '/Profile/TranfareMoney',
type: 'POST',
data: { ToUsername: userName, Amount: amount },
dataType: 'json',
success: function (result) {
$('#transfare_error_list').html(result.text);
$('#trans_verification_id').val(result.id);
$('#transfare_username').val("");
$('#transfare_amount').val("");
},
error: function () {
$('#transfare_error_list').html('Oops... Error.');
}
});
}
});
I'm not 100% sure, but shouldn't you controller action handler be public ?
