I'm trying to use EmEditor to do some find and replace on HTML using regex. I know that Regex is not generally suitable for HTML parsing but I believe it will work for my limited requirement. I can't get it to do some fairly simple finds. e.g. find the head section and remove it. I've tried several different syntaxes e.g. <head.*?>(.|\n)*?</head> also simpler ones where there are no attributes e.g. <head>.*?</head>. None work. What am I doing wrong?
Please try a non-zero value to the Additional Lines to Search for Regular Expressions text box in the Advanced dialog box (Click the Advanced button in the Find dialog box) if you need to search for multi-line strings.
hope someone to help me, thanks!
When I use dita-ot-3.0 to output pdf, I find in many places, the images are displayed in the same line with text.
I try two plugins:
- default pdf2 plugin
- a customization pdf plugin using PDF Plugin Generator at https://github.com/jelovirt/dita-generator (I didnot find any place to set image attribute)
So here is my question, I write xml like this:
source xml file
When I output pdf, I get this:
image is shown in the same line with text
there are many other images showing like that. How can I make the image show starting from a new line? Am I misusing the element? Is the difference between inline element or block?
You should be able to do this by setting the attribute placement="break" to the <image> element. This is explained in the spec.
Reading through GitHub's help website, I've come across a very neat-looking procedure list.
From GitHub's Create A Repo Tutorial
I have read through GitHub's Markdown Tutorial as well as the Markdown Cheatsheet, but have not found any way to perfectly replicate this type of format.
The closest I have done so far was to basically put a blockquote after a number list entry:
1. > line 1
>
> line 2
2. > line 3
>
> line 4
And it looks similar, but, well, see for yourself:
Is this the closest I can get to GitHub's format?
Is there a proper Markdown syntax that I have missed?
If not, is there a way to achieve this in raw HTML?
If you look at the source of that page you can see that this is just a normal ordered list containing paragraphs:
<ol>
<li><p>In the upper-right corner of any page, click...
So to produce that HTML with markdown simply use the normal ordered list syntax:
1. First paragraph here.
2. Another paragraph here.
The particular appearance of that page is done by styling with CSS. It looks a little involved, using the ::before pseudo-element. If you want to replicate something similar have a look at the page with your browsers inspector to see the the styles. Experiment until you understand how it works and can create the effect you want.
If you are looking to create this effect on your own Github pages (e.g. a README) then I think you are out of luck, since you can’t control the CSS.
In the shopping cart page of my magento store, there is a line item for Shipping & Handling. I am trying to change the HTML output of this line. I have figured out how to change the actual text "Shipping & Handling - Method" , but I would like to change the actual HTML output. I looked through all of my theme files and could not figure out where to access this. I simply need to add a CSS class for that line so I can style it. Any ideas?
Thank you.
An easier solution to take if you are not a developer is to update the translation of that line of text in your translation file /app/locale/en_US/Mage_Checkout.csv if it isn't already in there just add a line at the end. The first part is what the text currently is and the second is what you want it to read.
tread lightly, it effects that line of text anywhere on your site.
If you just need to style some text add the html of that section and I can help you with a selector.
The file you are looking for is app/code/core/Mage/Sales/Model/Quote/Address/Total/Shipping.php you will
$title = Mage::helper('sales')->__('Shipping & Handling');
Under fetch(Mage_Sales_Model_Quote_Address $address) function and around 20th line. There you can change but editing magento core file is not recommended. So you have two solutions
Copy Shipping.php file in to local code pool and edit there
This is the best way create your own module for override Shipping.php file by extending Mage_Sales_Model_Quote_Address_Total_Shipping class you can find a tutorial of creating module at steve perrys' blog
Default product options view place the option name on a line, forces a line break, and then displays options beneath.
Anyone know where/which changes need to be made to remove the line break so that the option choice displays next to the option name?
I'm using Magento 1.6.2 Community. Thanks!
You can achieve this with just css, just put a float left on the label and inputbox.
The easiest way to find out where a template file is located in magento is to turn on template path hints
See How do I turn on template path hints
Also you may want to use 'chrome inspect element' or 'firebug for firefox' to see if you can restyle it using css.
