I uninstalled the internet explorer as it wasn't working properly and thought of reinstalling it.
But after uninsatlling it from windows features I am not able to find it again in there. This is a work computer and I cant reinstall windows or update it. Please give suggestions on how to get it back.
You did not mentioned which OS you are using?
If you are using Windows 10 OS then you can try to refer steps below.
(1) Search for 'Optional features' in search box.
(2) It will show an option 'Manage optional features'. Click on it.
(3) Click on 'Add a feature' option.
(4) Find Internet Explorer 11 from the list and click on it.
(5) Click on install button.
Let me know, if you are using any other OS.
If you get any error while installing it and installation get failed then you may need to contact your IT department.

My QTP 11.0 was recognizing IE 8 .one week before.Suddenly it stop recognizing.
It showing everything as Winobject. I unchecked enable protected mode also and all possible solution available in Internet.
Please help me if there is any other solution to it.
Check to make sure you are still loading the Web add-in module during startup of QTP/UFT.
IF UFT isn't asking you to double check during startup, then go into Tools > Options > Startup Options and check the box for "Display Add-in Manager on startup". then click OK, and completely close and restart UFT. It should ask you to verify your Addins again. Doublecheck that it is loading "Web", then uncheck the Show on startup box, and click OK.
One other thing to check is to make sure the test itself is using the Web Add-in. Right click a test in the Solution Explorer, and select Settings. Ensure the Associated add-ins list includes a checkmark next to "Web".
Note that I'm using 11.53, so could be differences
Always remember to open IE or other applications AFTER you open UFT/QTP first...
Two months ago Microsoft has released update (part of another question) which is causing problems to my software. I've found solution how to uninstall it, but after uninstallation, Windows installed it again.
I know the update mustn't be hidden without user permission - this is not a part of my question.
I'm looking for a way how to hide this update. I accept just any solution, but I prefer Batch or VB-script.
Read What is the "Get Windows 10" Tray Item and How Do You Remove It? and follow it mutatis mutandis:
To uninstall an update (e.g. KB3035583):
Manually: first open Windows Update and click “Installed Updates” in the bottom-left corner. To quickly find KB3035583, you can sort by name. Once you’ve located it, right-click and choose “Uninstall”. Restart the computer then.
Or programmatically wusa /uninstall /KB:3035583 using Windows Update Standalone Installer
If you have Windows updates set to download and install automatically, this means that if you uninstall this update, it will be reinstalled automatically a few days later. To hide the KB3035583 update and prevent it from being reinstalled, right-click on it in the Windows Update application and select “Hide update”.
To hide an update programmatically, see Opmet's answer to another question at SuperUser: How to disable the “Get Windows 10” icon shown in the notification area (tray)?
I want .js, .css, .html, etc. files to be associated with Sublime Text 2. I tried to associate the file type with the Sublime Text program, but the Open With dialog wont let me select sublime_text.exe. When I browse to the sublime_text.exe and click Open, (under Program Files, not Program Files x86; I have ST 64bit version installed) nothing happens; the browse window closes and I'm back to the stupid Open With dialog, but sublime_text.exe isn't selected and within the list available programs, and the OK button is disabled because I have nothing selected.
I'm sure there's someone out there that's more familiar with how Windows works internally and would be able to shed some light on what could be going wrong.
This all started when I installed Sublime Text 2 official release. At the time, I had Sublime Text 2 32bit beta installed, when I installed the official release, I decided to go with 64bit. After I installed the new version, I had two versions on my computer, a 32bit version and 64bit version. All my file associations were using the 32bit version, so after I uninstalled the old 32bit version (using Revo Uninstaller), all my file associations broke, and I haven't been able to fix this sense then.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

This actually isn't a problem with Sublime text, it's a generic quirk
introduced in Vista and left lingering in W7. I actually recently made
a blog post about this very issue, you can find it at
http://anders.tonfeldt.se/?p=775 but I'll detail it here since it's
generally considered bad form to drop an url and leave.
Open regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\sublime_text.exe\shell\open\command
Verify that the path is accurate, correct it if it is not. Exit regedit.
Open task manager via ctrl+alt+del, kill explorer.exe, go to run and type explorer.exe (or skip this step and simply reboot).
Now attempt the same thing, right click a text file, open with, navigate to sublime, and it should now appear in the list of available
applications.
Disclaimer; My post above uses another application as an example and
it's not guaranteed to fix your problem, but it's likely to be the
same as I've encountered it countless times when installing /
uninstalling / reinstalling an application, or just updating one, in
Win7/Vista.

Tortoise SVN doesn't show those green , red , yellow icons when the files changed that are under source control, I can see them in windows XP but not on Windows 2008. But when I right click and try to commit, it gives me a list of files that are changed. Any idea why/fix?
Did you recently upgrade TortoiseSVN from a previous version? Do a repair installation to restore your icons.
There is another workaround to solve this problem if a repair installation doesn't fix the issue. See the UPDATE section of this other answer on Stack Overflow for more details. Here is a MSDN blog post explaining the problem in detail if you're curious.
This has been a pretty big problem for a variety of reasons. These are all outlined in the TortoiseSVN FAQ. Here are the relevant links:
After upgrading TortoiseSVN, all my icon overlays have disappeared
The overlay icons appear, but not all of them!
The overlay icons appear, but not all of them!
As part of this, if you have recently installed another program that uses overlays (Mozy is one that comes to mind), you may see this problem as well. Unfortunately, Windows has a (artificial?) limitation on the number of potential overlays that can be shown.
Try killing the TSVNCache.exe process and re-starting it. Is your local SVN respotitory on the large side? In a previous job we migrated from XP to Vista while using Tortoise and, with a fairly huge codebase (many files), we all found those icons to be somewhat unreliable as a rule.
I had the same issue. I installed onto Windows server 2008 R2 which did not previously have any Tortoise installation. After a reboot, I could see the icons ok. Didn't need to repair the installation or anything else. Rebooting servers might not be a valid option for you, but in my case it was not an issue.
I had this very same problem but I got it fixed.
What you have to do is follow the steps below,
Open control panel> Windows Firewall.
On the top left corner click on the link "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall"
At the bottom there is a button "Allow another app". Click on that.
Look for "TortoiseIDiff" and select it.
Your ticks and crosses should appear now.
I was also facing this issue.
But My folders were in the network drive.
There is an option in SVN that by default sets showing of overlay icons to 'fixed drive' folders only. So we need to tick mark 'Network drive' also.
I've done this by-
SVN Setting--> Icon Overlays --> Drive types --> Network drives (tick it)
So its better to have a check in this setting first!!
When I upgrade from TortoiseSVN-1.6.15.21042-x64-svn-1.6.16 to TortoiseSVN-1.10.1.28295-x64-svn-1.10.2, I had same problem on my local directories. But on context menu I noticed a new context menu SVN Upgrade working copy. I clicked on it and after a while I see right icons.
Check out also this answer, this solved this issue for me:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/32384880/2700065
In short: TortoiseSVN > Settings
There is a Tortoise setting that determines which Drive Types the icons are used with: Drives A: and B:, Removable drives, Network drives, Fixed drives, CD-ROM, RAM drives, and Unknown drives.
For me my drive was an NVME SSD which is marked by system as a removable one for some reason (facepalm).
Running VS2008 Pro on Windows 7, all SP and hotfixes installed.
When I click F1 on a (valid) keyword in VS2008, I only receive the "Information Not Found" page. I know I didn't install the full msdn as I just wanted to use online help. I can't recall if I clicked or unclicked anything during the install process (installed a couple of months ago so I don't fully remember) that related to help but I did try to pare down the install size by unclicking things I know I wouldn't ever use.
devenv.exe and dexplore.exe are both set to run as admin. Tools-Options-Help-Online is set to use online first, then local. All options are checked. Equally odd, the Codezone provider download button gives me a dialog indicating it couldn't download resources.
My router is Smoothwall with the transparent proxy enabled.. meaning, I don't have to enter anything in a web browser for a proxy - I just surf.
Select "Tools > Options > Help > Online".
Additionally there are a couple of list boxes one labelled "Search these providers:" Make sure "MSDN Online" is there and checked.
If it's not there you'll need to reinstall the MSDN.
