Katalon Studio is not working on Windows Server 2012 R2 standard while installing Win App Driver for Desktop Application Automaton it states it is only supported for Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or higher can anyone support for the same
Apparently, Katalon Studio is not supported on Windows Server 2012, as stated by this thread, but is supported on Windows Server 2016.
This might not be clear from OS Requirements, at first glance.

What is the latest version of IE supported on Windows Server 2008 SP2 (Non-R2) and does Windows Server 2008 SP2 support Microsoft EDGE?
From this doc, we can know that Windows Server 2008 approached end of support. IE browser's support is along with OS support. If the OS is end of support, IE is also end of support on the OS.
For the server versions Edge supports, you can refer to this doc. It seems that Edge supports Windows Server 2008 R2 not Windows Server 2008 SP2.
I have been tasked with putting together a development server and client (Windows 10), using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 with Visual Interdev, so that a team of developers can debug a very large ASP Classic website. I have studied up and found that Visual Studio 6.0 can be installed on Windows 10, so that takes care of the client side, but I am wondering what version of Windows Server I should use for the development server? I have access to 2003, 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019 versions. The original OS used back in the day appears to have been Windows Server NT.
we have an application running on windows server 2003 which needs to be migrated to windows sever 2012. Is it possible to do the as is migration without actually updating the application. The application is currently scheduled in windows scheduler on windows server 2003. Also please suggest if we can achieve this with any migration tool.
VB6 applications should generally work without changes in all current Windows versions, including Server 2012 R2 and Windows 10. The official word at Support Statement for Visual Basic 6.0 on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012, and Windows 10 is:
The Visual Basic team is committed to “It Just Works” compatibility for Visual Basic 6.0 applications on the following supported Windows operating systems: Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 including R2, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 including R2, and Windows 10.
Now, you mention that this particular app is currently scheduled in windows scheduler. There have been significant changes between Server 2003 (or Win XP) and 2012 (or Win 8.x) in areas of security, file/registry virtualization, UAC etc. If your app violates any of the new rules, then it may require an update - but that would be because of what it does, and not because it's written in VB6.
I've installed several .exe created in vb6 in Windows Server 2012 R2 without problem.
The only question was the use of an very old setup.exe for installing, that was replaced to using an setup.msi, but the .exe and .dll and even .ocx incuded in the solution all works.
The TeamCity website reports that the software is compatible and tested with Windows Server 2008 and not on Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012/R2. Has anyone deployed TeamCity on Windows Server 2012 R2 ? Is there any known issue that we need to be aware of? Will the customer service team support queries on Windows Server 2012 R2?
TeamCity site's System Requirement page
Windows Server 2012 R2 is fully supported.
I have set-up three different build servers on Windows Server 2012 R2. There is no known issues.
I have also used Microsoft SQL Server with TeamCity. (here's a tutorial http://log.ld.si/post/teamcity8-sql-server).
They will support queried ofcourse :)
My work is currently using Visual Studio 2005 with Windows Server 2003 (IIS 6). We're looking to finally upgrade our systems.. Our computers are still on Windows XP for goodness sake. We have two options, upgrade to VS 2013 which means we'll have to upgrade our computers to Windows 7 OR upgrade to VS 2010 in which case we can keep Windows XP. We're still on Windows XP because apparently nothing at work is compatible with Windows 7 at the moment, we're working to upgrade everything eventually.
I have the following questions..
Can Visual Studio 2013 run on IIS 6?
If not, is it possible to upgrade to IIS 7 or 8 on Windows Server 2003 or would we have to upgrade the server as well?
Can Visual Studio 2010 run on IIS 6?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Take in consideration that Windows XP (and Windows Vista) are becoming obsolete in a few weeks.
With that been said better make a plan for updating your OS to Windows 7 or 8. So that means you should go with IIS 7 and above.
As per VS I think try 2013 since we are already in 2014.
