I'm running into issues with allowing a Laravel job to interact with the console output.
At the moment I am passing in the OutputStyle from a Command to the Job constructor and assigning it.
I have seen the InteractsWithIO trait but if I use that by itself without assigning the OutputStyle from the command then it says it is null.
Call to a member function title() on null
I have also tried setting $this->output from the container using
$this->output = resolve(OutputStyle::class);
This fails with a
Target [Symfony\Component\Console\Input\InputInterface] is not instantiable while building [Illuminate\Console\OutputStyle].
I've also ran into issues with PHPUnit tests that run through this job. The output from the class is displayed in the test output.

Putting the following code in a Service Provider works:
$this->app->bind('console.output', function () {

I am then able to say, in my Job,
$this->output = resolve('console.output');
Which gives access to all the methods such as title, section, and table.

New cypress user here, I am aware that cypress does not handle variables like how testcafe and others do due to the asyn nature of it. Using the example given and what I could find I have this as an example:

This looks at a given selector, takes what it finds and uses it as text and set it as a variable usable at any time in the test and outputs it to the log. The plan is to use that text in a search filter in another page to find the item it references.
The problem is that it fails with Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'text_needed')
Is this because the content of the selector is not assigned to text properly, the outer html is <a data-v-78d50a00="" data-v-3d3629a7="" href="#">PO90944</a> The PO90944 is what I want to capture.
Your help would be appreciated!
You cannot save an alias and access it via this.* in the same execution context (callback) because it's a synchronous operation and your alias is not yet resolved at this time.
This is a correct way to go:

First, make sure to define it as traditional function, not as an arrow function as this context doesn't work as you'd expect there, more info here.
Next, typically in a single test you should use .then() callback to perform additional actions on elements, and use aliases when you need to share context between hooks or different tests, so please consider the following:
// using aliases together with this within the single test won't work
cy.get(<selector>).invoke('text').as('text_needed')
cy.get('#text_needed').should('contain', 'PO90944') // works fine
cy.log(this.text_needed) // undefined
// this will work as expected

Setting alias in beforeEach hook for example, would let you access this.text_needed in your tests without problems.

error 500: A transformer must be a function or a class extending TransformerAbstract
removing the include in both, no error is shown
Is this error related to some sort of "cross include"?

A problem or not, here what happens
If transformer A includes B and B includes A, whenever I call one of them, the second start bringing error 500 and the first continue working normally.
the simplest solution is put the importation inside the import, like this:

I've a function that returns a View::make($string). I want to test that this function did indeed return an instance of View object. $string points to a file that does exist.
When I try to run this function within Phpunit it doesn't seem to finish. How can I test in Phpunit that a View object was created?
Laravel has helper methods specifically designed for testing views.
Some of them include:
$response = $this->get('/path/to-your-route');
$response->assertViewIs($value);
$response->assertViewHas($key, $value = null);
$response->assertViewHasAll(array $data);
$response->assertViewMissing($key);

If you need to assert that something is an instance of something else, you can try the following:
$this->assertInstanceOf($expected, $actual);
When you provide invalid string the view object will not be created and will throw an exception. Not sure what you have in your function that prevents the exception, but the way to go around this issue, is to include this line in the failing test:
$this->expectException(InvalidArgumentException::class);
The issue stemmed down from usage of var_dump as I wanted to see the object in question. As nothing was presented in output, I assumed that had to do with View::make rather than outputting the object to the console.

The correct format is:

I'd say your middle example is probably closest, and is executing the command with the correct parameters, but there is something else going on under the surface.
EDIT
Just did a bit more digging, you need to refer to the signature of the Console command, which isn't actually apparent on the surface. In your case, you need to refer to this console command:

Note the signature is marked with {model}.
So your command would look like:

Another example using the controller make command, note that this time we using the signature segment {name}:

Again, there is probably an underlying issue here - you should try running the import command from the console/terminal directly to see if you get the same issue.

You don't need to sync with algolia using an artisan call.

I made a custom report in AX2012, to replace the WHS Shipping pick list. The custom report is RDP based. I have no trouble running it directly (with the parameters dialog), but when I try to use the controller (WHSPickListShippingController), I get an error saying "Pre-Processed RecId not found. Cannot process report. Indicates a development error."
The error is because in the class SrsReportProviderQueryBuilder (setArgs method), the map variable reportProviderParameters is empty. I have no idea why that is. The code in my Data provider runs okay. Here is my code for running the report :

I don't know if I'm clear enough... But I've been looking for a fix for hours without success, so I thought I'd ask here. Is there a reason why this variable (which comes from the method parameter AifQueryBuilderArgs) would be empty?
I'm thinking your issue is with these lines (try removing):

The style I'd expect to see with your contract would be like this:

And for the DataProvider clWHSPickListShippingDP, usually if a report is using a DataProvider, you don't manually set it, but the DP extends SRSReportDataProviderBase and has an attribute SRSReportParameterAttribute(...) decorating the class declaration in this style:

You are using controller.parmReportContract().parmRdpContract(contract); wrong, as this is more for run-time modifications. It's typically used for accessing the contract for preRunModifyContract overloads.
Build your CrossReference in a development environment then right click on \Classes\SrsReportDataContract\parmRdpContract and click Add-Ins>Cross-reference>Used By to see how that is generally used.
Ok, so now I feel very stupid for spending so much time on that error, when it's such a tiny thing...
The erronous line is that one :
controller.parmReportName(ssrsReportStr(WHSPickListShipping, Report));
Because WHSPickListShipping is the name of the AX report, but I renamed my custom report clWHSPickListShipping. What confused me was that my DataProvider class was executing as wanted.
