Using F# in Visual Studio Community on Windows - visual-studio

I use Visual Studio Code on Linux for F# programming.
Recently I installed Visual Studio Community on Windows 10 to have more math graphing features.
But i can't run .fsx scripts in the studio environment, "run debug|run" are greyed out.
Also the f# command shell is missing.
A few years ago i used this on windows , what do i have to install?, the Microsoft Website
is not very clear about this.

As far as can find now:
It seems like the separate fsi.exe does not exist any more.
It looks like its all integrated in Visual Studio Code now.
Also one cant run a .fsx file directly from Visual Studio Code by double clicking, the shell have to be started first bu Ctl+Alt+F.
But then how does one run fsx scripts on Windows without VS?

How do i work in Visual Basic in VS Code or Mac?

sorry if the question is basic or does not have an answer but i have began my coding journey and due to classes i need to program basic code in "Visual Basic".
I have a Windows PC where i can code fine in Visual Studio 2022, but i have a MacBook Air as my laptop, i would like to code visual basic on it as well just small codes for my exams and class, i downloaded Visual Studio for Mac and it only allowed me to code in "C#" then i tried VS Code and selected VB on it, Python (With its extension) worked fine on VS Code, i can enter and run my code in the terminal but vb would always be a house of errors.
My question is, what is the appropriate way to program in visual basic on a mac (Latest macOS) (M1 Chip) and how can i get visual basic to work in VS Code?
Really appreciate anyone's time spent on answering this, have a good one!
Spent alot of hours downloading extensions that would help me run VB Code on VS Code, tried to get Visual Basic on Visual Studio for mac and that didnt help either.
The only thing that works right now is visual basic on visual studio 2022 on my windows pc. i want to code in vb on my mac. Python on vs code etc works fine not vb.
Visual Basic is not officially supported on Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio for Mac. However, there are some third-party extensions that you can use to add support for Visual Basic on VS Code.
One such extension is "VBNET for Visual Studio Code" which can be found in the VS Code extension marketplace. This extension is a community-supported extension and may not be as stable as the official extensions.
Alternatively, you can use a Windows virtual machine on your Mac to run Visual Studio 2022 and use it to write and run Visual Basic code. This would allow you to use Visual Studio 2022 on your Mac, and you can work with Visual Basic code on your Mac.
It's worth noting that Visual Basic is not a popular language as it was in the past, many developers are not familiar with it and support for it is limited. If you have the opportunity, it might be worth your time to learn a more widely used and supported language like C# or Python.
where VS Code is a powerful, multi-language code editor that offers many features and customization options, making it a great choice for developers. It can be used for Visual Basic development and it's a good alternative for Visual Studio for Mac which does not support Visual Basic.

Can't debug Visual Basic Scripts

I'm trying to debug a VBScript. I installed Visual Studio 2017 Community edition, but whenever I run my script (with a stop placed near the beginning of the script), the Just-in-Time debugger does not pop up and my scripts continues.
I've looked at the following, and nothing has helped:
Just-In-Time Debugging in Visual Studio
I've enabled it in Internet Properties.
I've enabled "Managed", "Native", and "Script" in Tools\Options\Debugging\Just-in-Time in Visual Studio 2017.
All the registry keys listed in the article are present in the registry.
I was able to follow the article C# Console App example. It did (although with variable success) eventually get into the debugger.
Visual Studio 2013 and VB Scripts
I tried debugging in the manner detailed here, but it never stopped at the stop or any of the breakpoints I set up.
The only thing I can think of is maybe the values in the registry are incorrect. The MSDN article didn't explicitly mention what the values should be.
Have other people tried using Visual Studio 2017 for debugging VBScripts? I've had luck using 2010 and 2012 at my work computer, but sadly I can't find downloads for those versions of Visual Studio for my home computer.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
If you run your VS as the admin, and enable the Script debugging under TOOLS->Options->JIT debugging, how about the result?
I used the VS2017 Enterprise version before:

Or check the workaround in this feedback which is similar to this issue:

Visual studio 2008 Shell be installed in a terminal which is already having Visual Studio 2010 Shell

Can Visual studio 2008 Shell be installed in a terminal which is already having Visual Studio 2010 Shell.VS 2010 Shell is essential to the Project. So I want VS 2008 in my terminal, without disturbing the existing VS 2010)
Question 1: If so, what do we exactly need to get it installed in my terminal.
Sorry the question might sound stupid, but I am a Java developer and I have no idea of Visual studio. Thanks in advance for your help.
Question 2: Also what does it mean by Visual Studio 2010 Shell Version? What does Shell means
If by "terminal", you mean a PC running Windows, then yes, you can have two different versions of Visual Studio installed simultaneously. I'm assuming you have the requisite licences from Microsoft. Just run the install from the downloaded executable or the installation CD as usual.

PowerShell in Visual Studio 2012

I have a project written in PowerShell and I want to create an interface for it using Visual Studio 2012. How can I load the .ps1 file in Solution Explorer? I have already run through these steps:
http://nickmeldrum.com/blog/how-to-run-powershell-scripts-from-solution-explorer-in-visual-studio-2010
(the steps are for Visual Studio 2010 but I thought the settings shouldn't differ too much) but now I don't know what to do...I have to install some tools or something?Thank you!
You haven't specified what's the issue here. Steps from the linked article should work with Visual Studio 2012 without any adjustments as far as I see. Make sure that you followed those steps correctly.
BTW, you may want to install "PowerShell Tools for Visual Studio 2012" extension.

Need Visual Studio Command Prompt

I am working on deploying a SharePoint web part. I am working on the server via remote desktop connection, and needed to compile a .dll file using Visual Studio Command Prompt. I discovered that the server only has Visual Studio 2010 Shell, and that lacks VS Tools including Command Prompt. I tried researching this issue and all of them dealt with older VS that had to add it via Tools menu, which is ineffective since Shell has only the application and nothing else.
What I need to do specifically on VS Command Prompt is add a webextension.dll to Assembly.
How do I add VS Command Prompt to a VS Shell? Could I use regular command prompt as a workaround?
Can you add the Visual Studio 2010 tools?
then add to the Assemblies:
