How to Fix NonFunctional X11 Mouse on WSL2 - x11

UPDATE Oct 12, 2020: I created another Linux user and that user has no problem with the mouse ... for the first login. After that, the new user also did not show a mouse cursor in the X11 server display. That means the problem is specific to the user, not a system configuration issue, and something happens during the first login. What could that be?
I've got 2 Dell XPS 15 laptops, both were just upgraded from WSL1 to WSL2 and both have been upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04. One runs the XFCE4 desktop on X11 using VcXsrv just fine, the other displays the XFCE4 desktop but the cursor does not move and the keyboard has no effect on the desktop.
This snippet from ~/.profile runs the desktop:
export DISPLAY=$(cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep nameserver | awk '{print $2; exit;}'):0.0
export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1
#sudo /etc/init.d/dbus start &> /dev/null
startxfce4 &> /dev/null &
Both systems use this config.XLaunch:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<XLaunch
ClientMode="NoClient"
Clipboard="True"
ClipboardPrimary="True"
DisableAC="True"
Display="0"
ExtraParams="-swcursor"
LocalClient="False"
LocalProgram="xcalc"
PrivateKey=""
RemotePassword=""
RemoteProgram="xterm"
RemoteHost=""
RemoteUser=""
Wgl="True"
WindowMode="Windowed"
XDMCPBroadcast="False"
XDMCPHost=""
XDMCPIndirect="False"
XDMCPTerminate="False"
/>
Output of startxfce4 on the working system is:
$ echo $DISPLAY

Ok so some adjustments I made was that I had to manually change the source code files of kraken2 through my anaconda environment.
I don't recall exactly what the changes were (you can look them up yourselves), but to access the files you can run the conda info -a command to find the directory where your conda environments are located. For example: find $(conda info -a) -name "rsync_from_ncbi.pl".
Once Files are edited then we can do the kraken2 process. The Errors I had was actually issues with the connection with the server (don't know why, but that's how it worked). Just wait for like 10 minutes or more and run the code and it should work.
Step 1: create a directory for the database
mkdir database
Step 2: Download taxonomy data to the database
kraken2-build --download-taxonomy --db database
Step 3: Download microbial data for the database
kraken2-build --download-library bacteria --db database
Step 4: Once the data is loaded to the library, build the database
kraken2-build --build --db database
These should be all the commands needed for kraken2

Using inkscape in mac command line

When I set symlink ln -s /Applications/Inkscape.app/Contents/Resources/bin/inkscape-bin /usr/local/bin/inkscape on MacOS El Capitan and try run Inkscape using it gives me a plenty of errors (see below). Where is the problem, please? I need it for grunt-rasterize. When I use alias as suggested on Inkscape webpage it works but grunt is not able to run Inkscape via alias.

This likely means that your installation is broken.
Try running the command
gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /Users/liam/mp-x11/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
to make things work again for the time being.

Upgrade to new XCode; can't built in Xamarin

I think that one of the last XCode upgrades that came in last week appears to have broken my Xamarin iOS builds. They fail with:
Failed to locate a valid instance of CoreSimulatorService in the bootstrap. Adding it now.
Or

The logs mentioned in the first error message doesn't appear to be more verbose than the above:

This is an iPhone project, but uses a Universal component; I note that since the above says iPad.
When it fails, it opens up the Storyboard editor and it appears to be OK there; there's nothing that seems surprising at first glance.
XCode: Version 7.3.1 (7D1014)
Xamarin: Latest Stable; no updates available
Any insight or thoughts? Thanks!
