Activities API call not returning correct results

The below api call used to return a feed of results that would have been on my homepage.
https://content.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/activities?home=true&maxResults=50&part=id%2Csnippet%2CcontentDetails&key=AIzaSyC0wL6aecu2rxiTNtW8uvtnb1kx9Kdlb4s
In the past day or so the feed I get has changed to be only videos from some channel called "Popular on YouTube".
Does anyone know why this API call changed? Is it a bug? Is there a different way to get an authenticated user's activity feed?
It turns out the home parameter for the activities api endpoint has been deprecated.

Sounds like you must have been using a shared API key.
Either case, "Popular on Youtube" is a Youtube channel by Youtube. Something has broken functionality and I believe it is referrer issue. With that, I suggest getting a new API Key.
You can learn more about and getting a free personal API Key, if you haven't done so. https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/errors

Is there a way to levearge Google Drive API to allow your application to create Google Docs from within your own system?

We were using an Iframe, then we started to use the API for Google Drive. We want to allow users to create a Google Doc from within our system w/o leaving our application. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Insert a new file with one of the Google Docs mimeTypes and wait for the response.
POST https://developers.google.com/drive/v2/reference/files/insert
{ "mimeType": "application/vnd.google-apps.document" }
Once response arrives, it'll contain an attribute called embedLink. Use embed link on iframe.
All available Google Docs mime types are on https://developers.google.com/drive/mime-types

Get image from marketplace WP7

I'd like to do a best of application list. It is just a list with a title and an image.
I saw the MarketplaceDetailTask(); who take the marketPlaceId (marketplaceDetailTask.ContentIdentifier).
My question is, is there a way, knowing this Id, to get the image url of the corresponding app ?
I've done some research but nothing about an API or something to return this url.
There is no built-in API in Windows Phone to retrieve this kind of information. However, you can try querying directly the service used by the Zune client. This service isn't publicly documented, but there's a few blog posts explaining how to use it. For instance:

how to call a Google API

I read the following two pages on Google:
1) https://developers.google.com/google-apps/documents-list/#getting_a_list_of_documents_and_files
and
2) https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OAuth2WebServer
I can go as far as getting an access_token (OAuth2) to be used in a subsequent Google API call (I want to call Google Docs Listing or Google Drive).
I wanted to use curl or something similar and just form my https URL.
- As such in the 1st document states to form a URL as follows:
https: //docs.google.com/feeds/default/private/full
- In the 2nd document, the example states to use something like https: //www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v1/userinfo?access_token=xxxxx
(adding the access token to the call)
Several questions
- Do I call googleapis.com or docs.google.com?
- can I call https: //docs.google.com/feeds/default/private/full?access_token=xxxxx
just add the access token to the call?
thanks
You need some effort to approach a Google API the first time, but then it's easy and elegant:
Manual preparation (One-time action): Sign in to Google, create a project, enable the API in question, create new Cient ID.
Get OAuth code, refresh token and access token (one-time action).
Make the API call (repetitive arbitrary actions).
Here is a detailed explanation of the entire process - Steps to make a Google API call.
A practical sample based on the Google Calendar API with full demo code in a single HTML file can also be reviewed here - Easy and compact access to my Google calendars.
The fastest way to get started is probably the quickstart guide for the Google Drive API, which shows how to setup your environment and write a complete command-line app to upload a file to Drive:
https://developers.google.com/drive/quickstart
Hie you can go through the Google Docs Sample Available Here
it's a command line smaple but this same thing you can implement in android. it works for me. you will find "docs-cmdline-sample" in repo. that will help you.

Can the opensocial API remotely search for users in orkut etc.?

Does anyone know if (and how) I can build an application (Java/Ruby/whatever) doing REST or RPC calls to a social network like Orkut (using opensocial) to search for a user by name or email address? So far I know that I can list all friends for a particular user ID, but I want to search among all users. Would I need to code it as an app/gadget running inside the google sandbox or is there a way to get a list of matching user ID via REST?
So far I got this one to work: http://code.google.com/p/opensocial-ruby-client/wiki/GettingStarted. But with this API and the gadget linked there I only get people that are already linked to me...
Thanks for answers,
Martin
No, you can't do that. At least, OpenSocial doesn't have spec like that.
In addition, SNS normally have privacy policy which disables developers to poke around users who hasn't installed your app.
Think OpenSocial API access to private information is quite limited.
