What does Google do with our previous assets? - google-play

I want to know what Google does with our previous assets (eg. App Icons, Screenshots, Feature Graphics)? If I update any screenshot or icon on my Google Play Console then what happens with the previous one? Google stores these assets or deletes them? If Google stores them then how we can access them or from where we can delete those previous assets?

Google Play Store App: getting reviewed without publishing

I am trying to launch an app onto the Google Play Store.
However I want to avoid actually launching it, but still get it reviewed so that it can be published (without any changes) at a later date. This would avoid another review once I actually want it published and available to download.
Is there any way to achieve this?
I have already gone through the process of Internal/Beta.. testing.
in google play console when you are inside your app
in the left manu bar click on the Publishing overview tab
then on the right side of the screen click on turn on managed publishing,
then select if you want to manually publish or leave it in auto publish mode.

How to hide an app from play store for a couple of hours

Due to a migration in the back I would like to temporary stop my app from being downloaded.
In the past I could manage that in Play Store Console. But now I can't find any switch for that.
How to disable the app temporary in Play Store ?
For anyone still looking for an answer, it is possible nowadays (an easier and better way than the other answer suggests).
First open up Google Play Console
On the left hand side click Setup > Advanced Settings
Then under App Availability click Unpublished
In Playstore developer console You can go to pricing and distribution section in the left hand side panel
You should find Availability section listing lot of countries where your app would be available for download from playstore
You can make all countries as unavailable or few selected countries
for keeping you app hidden from playstore and there by stopping downloads from playstore for sometime , you can always make your app available by selecting available in countries once done available , your app would be back in playstore within few minutes and will be ready for download.

My Android app is not displaying in play store search list, even if the app is in published status

I have developed an App and published the same in google play store console. Even after many days the app is not getting listed in play store while searching using App Name.
I have tried searching using the project name. Its shows my app while searching.
It's normal. It need time, interactions and downloads to scale the list.
Don't worry

Delete unlisted google play app

What is the practical method to remove an obsolete app in Google Play so no user accidentally install it?
Years ago I unlisted a few Google Play apps because they were obsolete and are no longer working with the current version of our service.
Still screenshots of these apps appear in Google search results, especially in the image search results.
These results come from third party sites that most likely profit from ads by cloning content from google play store. Example of these sites are apkpure, mobogenie, downloadapk, apkzip, apkgk.
These sites link back to the unlisted app in Google Play making it appear legit.
Google is very clear that you can't delete an app.
Is there a practical method to "delete" the app?
I've considered replacing all images in the Google Play listing with text such as "DO NOT INSTALL".
If you unpublish it, new users can't install it, even if they find it through search results.

How not to Get discovered on Google Play search

I want to put my app on google play store but not open to search. I just want to use play store link to give anyone I want. I don't want my app to be listed on any search on play store.
I think you can use the Alpha/Beta program: googleplay support
In general it works as following:
Create an App
Log into the Developer Console and upload an APK. No need to publish it yet.
Check out the ‘Beta’ tab now, which should show this handy message:
Using your developer account (it must be the primary google developer account), create a Google+ Community.
Add your Community to the list of testers by clicking “Manage list of testers” and pasting the Community’s url.
Click again on “Manage list of testers” and there you will find a URL to share with your Community.
