How to search Parent documents along with count of associated child documents

I am looking for a best way to search parent documents along with counts for associated child document? Example :
We have Organization documents and User documents. There could be thousands of users belong to one particular organization.

In above example, we have 4 users associated with organization with 001 and 2 users associated with 002. So on front end, admin will search for organization and as a result, I want to give response along with users count for that organization.
You can solve you issue in three ways. Each have its own advantages and disadvantages
1. Index Parent and child separately
This will require two queries . First you need to query user index and get orgId and then query child index and get its count
Advantage.
Change in one index doesn't affect other index
Disadvantage .
You need to use two queries

Nested docs require reindexing the parent with all its children, while parent child allows to reindex / add / delete specific children.

Benefits:
1. Parent document and children are separate documents
Parent and child can be updated separately without re-indexing the other
It is useful when child documents are large in number and need to be added or
changed frequently.
Child documents can be returned as the results of a search request.

For nested datatypes, you would need to make use of nested queries.
Elasticsearch would always return the entire document as a response. Note that nested datatype means that every item in the list would be treated as an entire document in itself.
Hence in addition to return entire document, if you also want to know the exact hits, you would need to make use of inner_hits feature.

Elasticsearch filter by multiple fields in an object which is in an array field

The goal is to filter products with multiple prices.

I would like to filter by membershipLevel and price. For example, if I am a silver member and query price range 0-10, the product should not appear, but if I am a gold member, the product "a" should appear. Is this kind of query supported by Elasticsearch?

Notice that I've made use of inner_hits. The reason is despite being a nested document, ES as response would return the entire set of document instead of only the document specific to where the query clause is applicable.
In order to find the exact nested doc that has been matched, you would need to make use of inner_hits.

It's important to note the include_in_parent param in Elasticsearch mapping, which allows us to use these nested fields without using the nested fields.

How can I find all documents in elasticsearch that contain a number in a certain field?

I have a keyword type'd field that can contain either a number or a string. If the field does not contain any letters, I would like to hit on that document. How can I do this?

There is another more optimal option for achieving exactly what you want. You can leverage the ingest API pipelines and using a script processor you can create another numeric field at indexing time that you can then use more efficiently at search time.
The ingestion pipeline below contains a single script processor which will create another field called numField that will only contain numeric values.

After indexing your documents using this pipeline, you can run your range query on numField instead of testField. Compared to the other solution (sorry #Kamal), it will shift the scripting burden to run only once per document at indexing time, instead of everytime on every document at search time.

Elasticsearch Filtering Parents by Filtered Child Document Count

I'm attempting to do some elasticsearch query fu on a set of data I have.
I have a user document that is the parent to many child page view documents. I'm looking to return all users that have viewed a specific page an arbitrary amount of times (defined by user input box). So far, I've got a has_child query that will return me all the users that have a page view with certain ids. However, this will return those parents with all their children. Next, I've tried to write an aggregation on those query results, that will essentially do the same has_child query in aggregation form. Now, I have the right document count for my filtered child documents. I need to use this document count to go back and filter the parents. To explain the query in words, "return to me all the users that have viewed a specific page more than 4 times". It's possible that I may need to restructure my data. Any thoughts?

To get that answer we'll use aggregations. Notice that I don't want documents returned (the normal way), but I do want to filter down the documents we analyze, because it will make things more efficient. So I use the same basic filter you had before.
So the aggregation tree starts with terms_parent_id which will just separate parent documents. Inside that I have children_page_view which filters the child documents down to the ones I want ("page_a"), and next to it in the hierarchy is bucket_selector_page_id_term_count which uses a bucket selector (you'll need ES 2.x) to filter the parent documents by those meeting the criterium, and then finally a top hits aggregation which shows us the documents that match the requirements.
