Trying to use iFuse to access iPhone files on Windows but not getting anyway. Would appreciate if people can share instructions/steps on how to get this to work?
iFuse to access iPhone files on Ubuntu works well; therefore, I am confident the issue is on Windows.
Using https://github.com/hooby3dfx/ifuse/releases/tag/win-dokany-0.1
Unzip test.zip in the above link
make sure iTune is installed
Install the specified Dokan version; doesn't seem to work with the latest Dokan version
Open a command window in Admin mode to run the command (e.g. ifuse tmnt --container bundle ID)
While the command is still running in the Admin window, open another command window to list the mounted directory

I want to write a script that installs some OSX .provisionprofile files on a macOS machine, but i cannot find any information online on how to install this type of provisioning profile via the Terminal.
Everywhere, people just mention and ask about iOS .mobileprovisioning which is a whole different thing and they're really easy to install with a script.
Is it possible to install a OSX .provisionprofile via CLI? If yes, how?
Seems OSX provisioning profiles are treated the exact same way mobileprovision profiles are for iOS. This means you can just copy them in "~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles" and rename them to their uuid.
Code example can be found in the answer here: Can an Xcode .mobileprovision file be 'installed' from the command line?
I'm trying to install an apk via adb on a mac. It's not my mac, but they have adb and it sees the rooted phone correctly (verified using adb devices, so I know adb works, too).
However, when I try to install the app:
adb install [app_name].apk
I get the following message:
Performing Streamed Install
adb: failed to install [app_name].apk: Error: must either specify a package size or an APK file
I know the file is an apk, it is a good version (I've installed it successfully on other phones using other computers), it downloaded completely, and I am in the same directory as the file. It is also spelled correctly (I even tab-completed to be sure).
I can't seem to fine any real google results on this error, however. Does anyone know what might be causing it? How to fix it? Thanks in advance!
So the issue here appears to have been a file-format error. In this case, the apk didn't download all the way to the computer, even though it looked normal. Therefore, it wasn't registering as a true apk. By deleting the file and redownloading it to the computer, I was able to successfully install the app using adb.
Please help me interwebs.
I'm having trouble getting my xamarin app to work. I've done a reinstall of Mac OS X and installed Xamarin using the installer, which adds mono and all the rest of it.
Now when I open up terminal and type which mono i get
/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/Commands/mono
...which is what I expect.
But when I navigate to that place (again in terminal) there's nothing there.
From my root folder I go "cd System/Library/Frameworks " and then hit ls and I get a looooong list of installed frameworks but no Mono.framework.
If I go to Apple > About this Mac > System Report > Frameworks Mono IS listed. I can execute Mono commands on the command line. If I look in paths.d the specified path for mono is /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/Commands/mono but I can't find that location so how is it even a thing?
My linux skills are not great, can anyone please help me understand what's going on here?
I think you are looking in the 'wrong' Library folder. There are a few different Library folders. There is one under the Disk Drive (root) directory, one under the User directory, one under the System directory. I think they are all hidden by default. So you need to set your folder/view options explicitly to show the Library folder since it might be hidden by default. The directory you are looking for is directly under you Disk Drive (root).
I am trying to install the Cloud Foundry CLI from: https://github.com/cloudfoundry/cli
However, after I download the ZIP file, unzip it, and click on the installation .pkg (In the installers folder, under osx), I get this error: "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.)"
I have Mac OSX 10.7.4, and this is a brand new laptop. A coworker of mine, with the same OSX, downloaded and installed it with no problem.
How can I fix this issue?
Thank you.
That error may depend on some files which needs to be moved, or it could be a file which needs to be converted into a mountable Disk Image file.
or as suggested on https://github.com/cloudfoundry/cli
If you are on OS X, you can also install the CLI with homebrew--run brew install cloudfoundry-cli
if thats not the problem then you should try to download it from Safari(if you aren't using it) or
"open the .mpkg file with Disk Utility and create an uncompressed read/write .dmg. Mount the dmg and run the .mpkg and all should be fine." (as quoted by a user that had a solution to not being able to run the downloader, but it might work with this one too.)
Good luck!

i want to use internet explorer on my mac, is there any way to install.
i need it as there are some websites which can open only in internet explorer, its a loss for me that i cant open websites on this safari
kindly help me if any one knows or using IE.
do you have any idea about virtualbox. is this help to download IE for mac
http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Run-Internet-Explorer-on-Mac-OS-X-391323.shtml
above link shows how todownload virtualbox and to install it
thanks
I find that the ievms project that is referred to in the softpedia link you provided is pretty quick and painless to setup on OSX. Once you have installed VirtualBox it will download and install the image for you automatically.
Note that it seems like you only need one IE version (and not all of them) so make sure you specify a version to download in the curl command, for example to install Internet Explorer 8:
curl -s https://raw.github.com/xdissent/ievms/master/ievms.sh | env IEVMS_VERSIONS="8" bash
Just run this command in your Terminal and it will do the rest.
Note: I've put version 8 as an example because it would be quicker to download than newer versions and is probably enough for your usage
