Does the process of sending custom telemtry to Application insighst considered ETL? - etl

Basically the title .
When we send custom telemetry to application insights from our application , will it be considered an ETL process?

Pls allow me sum up here to end this question.
As #PeterBons said in the comment. Although there's no official document to prove but assumed by experience, sending custom telemetry to app insights seems calling an API.

What is API Interface?

I'm currently studying computing and it tackles about API. I keep reading this term 'APIs provide an interface for communicating software' but i'm not really sure what is an interface to API? May i ask for your help to explain it?
Not sure if i get your question right, but let me have a try:
So basically a simple architecture of building for example an app is splitting it up in front- and backend. For example, in a ToDo-List app there is a server-side software which manages all data and we have a Mobile App which shows the data to the user. The backend is an "abstract" program. I mean with that that you can't click buttons or something else. So, when you want to create a task in your frontend app you have to tell the backend (for example written in Java or Python) that you want to make this. For this you can use an API.
This is basically an Call of an Website. The backend recognizes is and loads data out of an database, manages it and displays it for example in JSON Format. This format is send to the website.
Look here: https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com/todos/1
The app now is able to automatically get this data and manages it.
Obviously real APIs are much more complex. For example you have to authenticate, you can hand over parameters and so on. You have POST, GET, DELETE Methods.
But this is simply the basic concept of an API.
Look here to know how to create an API (for example in Java): https://spring.io/guides/gs/rest-service/
Look here to know how for example an Mobile App consumes the API (in JavaScript): https://www.taniarascia.com/how-to-connect-to-an-api-with-javascript/
I hope i could help you :)
Best regards

End user platform for Twilio Studio?

Is there a UI component to allow back and forth messaging using Twilio Studio? Sort of like the OpenVBX app was? A way to initiate calls and texts from a Twilio number without integrating into an existing system like a CRM?
I'm working with a small local campaign and want to have a way for a few volunteers to login somewhere and respond to messages, calls, and voicemails using the campaign numbers. I know OpenVBX accomplishes this, and I can stand up an instance of that, but was wondering if there was a newer better mechanism with Studio since OpenVBX is all but abandoned.
Jarod from Twilio here. Studio is a great place to define an automated interaction, but for organizing volunteers I would suggest looking at The Rapid Response Kit by Twilio. This allows volunteers to login and respond to messages and calls.
The Code: https://github.com/Twilio-org/rapid-response-kit
Blog Post to get started: https://www.twilio.com/blog/2014/12/non-coders-guide-running-twilio-org-rapid-response-kit.html
Hope this helps!

Parse AppOpened event track push notification consumption via Rest API

I'm trying to track an AppOpened event via Parse.com's Rest API, specifically related to the consumption of a push notification via a POST to https://api.parse.com/1/events/AppOpened
Since there's really no documentation on doing this, I was hoping adding a "push_hash" key inside the data sent to Parse would be enough, but I guess I'm just not that lucky.
Does anyone know what the required data for tracking push consumption via an AppOpened event is? I couldn't find anything online and was really hoping someone here could help (especially considering every support page they have points here).
Thanks~
You are right, there poor documentation but from other hands some people already meet this issue. And you can check their code for your situation:
Setting up a App Opened event
App-Open Analytic
Track App Opens with JavaScript
Try to use anything from this (use app & REST keys) and describe your result more detailed.

Consuming SOAP web service for a cocoa application

I am trying to consume a SOAP web service into a cocoa application. The return value which is printing in the log is an HTML error page.
My Main objective is to pass two parameters to the web service and get a value in response. Can anyone please suggest correct way of achieving this?
It could be any number of things. For startes: you may be hitting the wrong URL, you may be sending invalid data and the server is not returning a valid error. The best thing to do is check what you are doing against any docs you may have, then contact the person working on the server side of the project for help debugging.
I know that is not a very specific answer, but I don't have a lot to go on. Hope it helps.

Location of received messages / intercepting with incoming messages

May i know if there is anyway i can intercept or retrieve the windows phone message from?
I'm trying to create an application, sending the message isn't a problem but i'm having some problem looking for the retrieved message in any means. My plan is to use SMS to transmit data so i'm planning to create a template to display it.
Hope someone can advice. Thanks everyone! :)
Currently there are no API's to access SMS in WP7 or 7.5 but in future if MS shows mercy then it may be possible.
You can check this link and vote for SMS access API's.
If you're talking about the windows phone's messaging app, then you cannot access the data. The API does not provide anyway to access such information, from your application, for security reasons. So, intercepting calls or messages are not allowed.
