Visual Studio 2022 Community Unable to Run after uninstalling VS2022 Community Preview

Afternoon all,
I had been using the Visual Studio 2022 Preview. Recently I decided to switch to the Release version. I uninstalled VS2022 Preview and installed the 2022 Community Release.
The install runs fine and completes with no issues. However when trying to run VS2022 It comes up with the error attached below.
From my talks with MS found at https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/Unable-to-launch-VS-Comunity-2022-after/1596301?entry=myfeedback&viewtype=all It appears VS2022 Community should be running version 17.0 of the .Threading DLL. However no matter what I have tried it refuses to load.
I have run the uninstaller with -F. Re-installed several times.
Attempted to install 17.0 to the GAC but this does not change the outcome
As per the post on the developer community pretty much everything short of re-installing windows (Which I am 100% trying to avoid)
I ran the FusionLog viewer (Attached) and it looks like there is something re-binding this to the 17.1 .threading version however I know very little about how this works and where I might find a solution, Hence, I am here :). Although my post on the DeveloperCommunity is still active I'm hoping a resolution here maybe faster!
Thank you!
I have this error too, and its becouse you dont have defined startup project.
Right click on your startup project and choose "set as startup project".
Actually the above is incorrect, you can't even get to the startup screen.
The correct answer is you need to remove the V15 version of the dll from the GAC. Instructions from MS can be found here.

SQL Server Management Studio set-up exe does not launch

Attempting to launch the SQL Server Management Studio set-up exe leads to an icon briefly appearing in the taskbar, before disappearing without any further screen showing up. The task manager does not show any running instance for the installer either.
I have tried various versions of the SSMS installer executables posted on Microsoft's official documentation for SSMS, including version 18.8, 18.7.1, and 17.9.1.
Also tried updating the .NET framework, as suggested here (Why the SSMS-setup-ENU for version 17.8.1 isn't running?), but the latest version is already showed as having been installed.
I did a soft and hard reboot both, without success.
Confused as to how to proceed and install the software now. Any help would be appreciated.

Anaconda 4.3.0 with python 3.6 (64 bit) installer setup crash windows

I downloaded the setup from https://www.continuum.io/downloads, Anaconda 4.3.0 for windows, Python version 3.6 (64-bit). The download was successful but when I ran the installer, the setup wizard crashes. Windows pop up a dialog with the message saying, "Anaconda3 Installer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program", while the wizard is at "Extract: _system_path.py" step.
I have tried downloading the installer multiple times using different browsers and download managers, thinking that it might be a download issue, but I got the same result every time. Could there a problem with the windows installer from the download page? Please suggest any solutions for getting this installation done.
Downloaded again yesterday and it worked. Guess it was some issue with the installer downloaded last time I was trying

Xamarin 4.1.1.3 install fails requiring Build Tools that are already installed

I have VS Community 2015 installed on a Windows 7 machine.
Few days ago new Xamarin version, the 4.1.1.3 one, has been released.
I have tried to install it (upgrading from 4.1.0.350) many times but every time I receive message about Build Tools requirement, even if the Build Tools 2013 and 2015 are correctly installed on the machine.
I have tried to reinstall Build Tools, repair VS and actual Xamarin installation without any success.
What may I check to be able to upgrade?
Thanks in advance for any help I will receive.
Am not sure if you were lucky enough to find a solution yet.
I faced a similar issue and was able to overcome it by :
1)First running the VS as Administrator.
2)Then Follow the normal update process Via Tools -> Options -> Xamarin -> Other
You will be asked to close VS during installation which is OK.
I guess that means the update process needs to access some files which require Admin rights? anyway it worked for me and I hope it works for you as well.
All the best!.

Can't reinstall XAMPP after removal

I've got a problem since a couple of weeks that I can't rid of.
I have installed XAMPP on my desktop (running Win 8.1), then I have uninstalled it to install a newer version (I couldn't simply upgrade at the time).
The process failed cause there were some file that the uninstall process wasn't able to remove (in c:/XAMPP directory). I've removed them manually without problems.
However, when I tried to reinstall the latest version, the installer simply DIDN'T RUN. I noticed that, after downloading it from the official site and launching it, the installer seems to work but after few secs my browser crashes. Then it stops working, I can't even restart it or kill the process definitely (I'm using Chrome but I tried also Firefox).
My questions are:
Why the installer doesn't work and I can't reinstall XAMPP ?
Why the installer makes my browsers crash ?
I can provide machine specs if needed !
Thank you !
