Failure when deploying Spring App to Heroku - spring

I am trying to deploy my spring application to heroku but there is some error in maven plugins I believe. Have tried every possible version combination, things worked locally but not when deploying.
When i'm running :
git push heroku master
Following is the error:

Java 9 is not supported by Heroku, you can choose between 1.7, 1.8, 11, 13, 15 and 16, where 1.8 is the default. See Heroku Supported Java Versions.
If you do not want to use the default 1.8 you can change the Java version placing a file called system.properties in the project root setting the desired JDK:
java.runtime.version=16

setting up rabbit mq in a multi module maven project

I have a multi module maven project which has two sub modules for now.
authentication
gateway(spring boot application)
For inter service communication I chose Rabbit MQ, and here is the root pom.xml:
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.amqp</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-amqp</artifactId>
<version>2.4.0</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.amqp</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-rabbit</artifactId>
<version>2.4.0</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.projectlombok</groupId>
<artifactId>lombok</artifactId>
<version>1.18.24</version>
</dependency>
<!--SLF4J Logging-->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.slf4j</groupId>
<artifactId>slf4j-api</artifactId>
<version>1.7.25</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.slf4j</groupId>
<artifactId>slf4j-simple</artifactId>
<version>1.7.25</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<source>17</source>
<target>17</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
And the gateway pom.xml is as follows:
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-web</artifactId>
<version>3.0.0</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
but when I start the gateway server I get
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: LoggerFactory is not a Logback LoggerContext but Logback is on the classpath.

Implementation of JAXB-API not found for SOAP web service

I'm trying to connect to a SOAP web service using a Spring Boot project. I can generate classes from the wsdl and I can confirm that the generated classes end up in the target folder. However, I can't run the project.
What am I missing here? Some dependency I guess? I've included everything I can think of at this point.
Also if there are alternative ways of consuming soap web services that entirely avoid this dependency mess, that would also be appreciated.'
This is what happens when I try to run the project.
java -version
openjdk version "15.0.2" 2021-01-19
OpenJDK Runtime Environment AdoptOpenJDK (build 15.0.2+7)
./mvnw clean && ./mvnw jaxb2:generate

./mvnw spring-boot:run

How to deploy a spring boot web application on the embedded tomcat server, from the spring boot itself

I have a spring boot project and I want to deploy the project on the embedded spring tomcat, since the server (suse-linux) does not have an application container. How can I do this? Is a .war or un.jar used for it? How do I configure the embedded tomcat to point to the java installed on the server ?.

Thanks for the help.
Providing the spring-boot-starter-web package with the correct configuration (maybe check the Basic guide from Spring Boot) your application will run in an embedded Tomcat application server. When building as a jar you should be able to run the application using java -jar on the SUSE machine. The embedded Tomcat should use the java installation from the process it was started by.

Maven Build Test Results Just Pass or Fail

When building using Maven I see a ton of log information being spewed out when running my Junit Tests. I am using spring boot so I see all of the initial log stuff running and would like to see individual test breakdowns to see what number passed, failed or errored out. Is there a plugin that allows this? I've seen it before but can't figure out what to do in my pom to fix it.
Below is my pom.xml

I figured it out all I needed to do was to tell the surefire-plugin to redirect the output:
<plugin>

<artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<redirectTestOutputToFile>true</redirectTestOutputToFile>
</configuration>
</plugin>
You didn't show us your configuration so we can just guess how to help you.
Most common way to turn off unrelated logging is to configure logging levels in appliation.properties:
logging.level.org.springframework=WARN
logging.level.org.hibernate=WARN
Here is relevant part of Spring Boot documentation.
If you have Spring packages configured on debug level, Spring Boot run creates huge amount of debug statements. So setting Spring to log level WARN (as sketched above) should filter out most of the log output.

static {
Configuration config = null;
try {
//config = new PropertiesConfiguration("resources/config.properties"); this package is placed in src/main/java and using this it works perfectly fine
config = new PropertiesConfiguration("src/main/resources/config.properties"); // this doesn't seem to work
} catch (ConfigurationException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
UPLOAD_LOCATION = config.getString("image.upload.location");
TABLE_NAME = config.getString("table.name");}
Have I missed anything in pom.xml. Please help!
When you create an instance of the PropertiesConfiguration object, it will search the current classpath for the file you specify. With a Maven web project, the src/main/resources folder should already be included on the classpath, so there is no need to precede your file name with the directory. In other words, this should work:
config = new PropertiesConfiguration("config.properties");
