I am not sure that this is the best place to ask about yocto, there is a webpage such a forum only of yocto? This is my first question. The second question is related to the title, I have problems with the opkg when I am trying install packets. I have tried to update and upgrade but when I update don't find packets. I adjunt a example with the message that I obtain when I execute the opkg command:
root#sama5d27-wlsom1-ek-sd~# opkg install curl
Collected errors:
opkg_prepare_url_for_install: Couldn't find anything to satisfy 'curl'.
This message appears whith any package that I want install, I don't know what happenned, I need help.
Thanks in advance.
For your first question:
No, this is not the only place to ask about Yocto.
For more professional community visit Yocto mailing list in this link.
For your second question:
In order to use package manager in Yocto (opkg, apt, dnf), you need to configure your package feeds to a source list server that the board will fetch the sources from.
In order to do that, Yocto offers a method that makes you able to start a server inside the Yocto generated packages, and based on that you configure the board's run-time package manager to fetch from that server.

I am a little bit new to Go, specifically go get mechanism to download single binaries (CLI apps). Some cool projects in github allow you to download cli apps using go get. How can I check that binary that I installed is outdated? I am looking for something like debian based apt update that checks for newest package versions without installing them.
As an example. Let's say that I installed lazygit using go get github.com/jesseduffield/lazygit. And after a while a new version was released in github . Is it possible to check new version of binary using go get?
I checked the help and found the -u flag. Use go get -u github.com/jesseduffield/lazygit to update the tool.
None of this is speicific to the GitHub.
I was wondering how I have to setup .flowConfig in order to use flow on a React- Native project. I created an empty .flowConfig file but as soon as I include the react-native module in a JS source file and check this file with flow, flow displays a 'not_found' error message.
Follow the instructions on https://flowtype.org/ to create your projects .flowconfig file, you can copy and paste it, you also have to install flow via brew install flow and add the flow binaries to your package.json, once you've done all this, you should be able to manually run flow and check for error types, but, that is not really optimal.
I haven't been able to set up flow on atom without using nuclide, I'm guessing with some digging around the packages you can find something that works that allows for on-the-fly flow checking.
The link provided by #jerome (https://egghead.io/lessons/react-setup-nuclide-to-use-flow-and-eslint-mac) is useful but only for nuclide installation, still worth a watch.
I advise to watch https://egghead.io/lessons/react-setup-nuclide-to-use-flow-and-eslint-mac it explains how to use Flow with Nuclide. I had issue to make flow works and my main mistake was that I didn't install flow (brew install flow). On the official site (https://flowtype.org/docs/getting-started.html) they don't mention you need to install flow (or it is not super obvious if it is the case).
Anyway watch the video it is great, it even explains ESLint :)
I'm wondering whether there is a way to establish multiple connections with aptitude with the aim of increasing download speed. Since I couldn't find such a functionality in aptitude man page (in my limited knowledge), I would rephrase my question: Is there a way to use another download manager that can use multiple connections and pass the downloaded package to aptitude?
I know that aptitude can install packages from local disk, however when there are lots of dependencies it would be nice to integrate a download manager (such as aria2 with several connections) into aptitude so that the main packages and dependencies could be installed without me downloading each one with aria2 and then pass it to aptitude.
What you are looking for is apt-fast I guess.
Here is a nice description and tutorial: http://www.webupd8.org/2012/10/speed-up-apt-get-downloads-with-apt.html
I just installed red5 on my server, and the install seems to work fine. As you can see here: http://onelifemedia.com:5080
I got this far by using this walkthrough: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1046590
The /demos page gives me a 404 error. So I logged onto the server, and checked to see if the "demo" directory was already there. It was not.
The applications that I installed were a directory up from the root directory. I'm not sure if this is right or not.
Either way, my end goal is to actually get something working besides the main page. If I can get the demos to work, then hopefully I should be well on my way.
I guess my questions can be broken down like this:
Does anyone know how to get the demos working?
Should I forget about the demos, and try to start writing my own code?
If I should write my own code, how should I go about installing it? Since the installer is not properly installing the demos.
Thanks
The tutorial is good but you dont need the admin app. Use the installer link in the tutorial and install the demo you want to use. The content of the "demos" directory is only the swf files used to access the server demos which you use the installer app to install. For instance , select "oflaDemo" and then from the main page navigate to demos/oflaDemo et voila.
I know I'm biased being a core developer, but we've attempted to make the server as ez as possible to use.
I could install demos from the latest svn trunk, Checkout the source, use ant&ivy to build and run the server and you can install two sample apps(oflaDemo and SOSample).
You may need to use ivy commands resolve some of the common issues during installations.
E:\dev\red5\java\server\trunk>ant ivyclear dist
()Red5 user mailing list may help you, because this is not exactly problem with Red5 source.

I could resolve the issue based on the information in Red5 users mailing list and comments by Mr.Mondain in one of the posts in Stackoverflow
For moderators: this question is about development of RPM based installer.
I'm developing packaging system for our software. We've designed our update management so that when we want to move to the new major version, we change RPM package to install all files into another directory (with another suffix) and change the package version. We keep the same name for the package (like: a-package-1.0.0 --> a-package-2.0.0). We want to install the new package keeping the old one to make user able to continue work with the old version while he moving to the new one.
So there is no file conflicts between our packages and RPM utility install them simultaneously without any issues (rpm -ivh ...). But Yum thinks that the new version is an update for the old one.
Is there a way to produce such RPM packages to make 'yum install a-package-1.0.0 a-package-2.0.0' installing them both? Maybe some flag in the package have to be set? I've found nothing.
Seems there is no way to install two RPM packages with the same name and without file conflicts usnig Yum.
So in my case I need to use some version suffix included into the package name.
I called RH and their preliminary answer is that there is no way to do this in YUM/RPM as this might cause confusion. After some discussion among their engineers, there does appear to be a way to do this, but they said it is cumbersome. I've asked them to send me their documentation (if any). I'm afraid you will need to call their customer service line and make the same request.
Here is the response from RH.
Thank you so much for your time on the phone today. You called asking if there was a way of installing different versions of tools like maven or java using yum to install them. After the engineers discussed it they have provided a document that shows you how to do this. I must say, if you do not have a log in to the customer portal, you will not be able to view the whole document.
