I'm trying to integrate jFrog with Gitlab, working with maven and spring framework
I have this error when doing the commit

I know the problem due to , pom.xml not specified, I'm not sure if I should add something to jFrog or just change something to the pom.xml file
I tried mvn deploy in the terminal and it was successful, it deployed the jar and pom to the artifactory, but with gitlab pipeline it does not work.
The 409 error you receive indicates an issue with the pom.xml.
In the pom.xml above I noticed you added "relativePath" closure but without opening it or specifying it. I think the pom validator doesn't like that.
Regardless, you can tell Artifactory to ignore this kind of issue by ticking the "Suppress POM Consistency" box in the repository configuration page.
For more information on this flag, you can read JFrog documentation here.

I'm trying to deploy an artifact on AWS CodeArtifact using CodeBuild. I was able to do the same with other artifacts in the same repository, but on this one I have the following error message:

I cannot understand why, in the deploy phase, Maven is not able to find the package I was deploying in that moment in the repo (and why it is looking for it).
I managed this problem creating a new repo on CodeArtifact. I suppose that something was wrong in the repo I was managing, but I didn't changed any configuration.
When i insert the command git push heroku master in order to deploy in eroku the following error appear

I looked for similar question but dont solve my problem
i even added in my properties:
java.runtime.version=15
but didnt work
changed the maven home for jdk 15 still not work
I am following the steps of this tutorial https://dashboard.heroku.com/apps/candidate-manager-api/deploy/heroku-git
how can i solve this?
Based on some other answers which are related to this question,
you should create a file called system.properties in the root of your project, and put:
java.runtime.version=15
i am unable to import org.springframework.batch.item.excel.poi.PoiItemReader. it shows the following error.

the import org.springframework.batch.item.excel.poi.PoiItemReader cannot be resolved. i clearly mentioned required dependencies in my pom file.
do i need to add any other dependency?
No, You don't need other dependencies.
The issue is that spring-batch-excel is not present in remote maven repository. So you need to install it manually in your local maven cache.
To do that:
1. Check out the sources of spring batch extenstion
git clone git://github.com/spring-projects/spring-batch-extensions.git
2. Go into the directory of a spring-batch-excel module
cd spring-batch-extensions
cd spring-batch-excel
3. Compile and test, build all jars
mvn clean package
4. Install the modules jars into your local Maven cache
mvn install
Now spring-batch-excel is present in your local maven cache.
Source: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-batch-extensions
You need the spring batch extention for excel. refer to link
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.batch.extensions</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-batch-excel</artifactId>
<version>0.1.0</version>
</dependency>
Above dependency is correct for Excel PoiItemReader.
I am working on a spring boot application.
The maven version i use is 3.3.9. In settings.xml i have configured the proxy as well.
The maven build is getting SUCCESS in command prompt. But when i try to import the project to eclipse am getting project build error.
Methods i have tried to resolve the error:
used maven->Update maven project (no improvement)
In eclipse i have changed the location of local m2 repository
as windows->preferences->maven->user settings and pointed it to C:\apache-maven-3.3.9\conf\settings.xml (no improvement)
Tried executing mvn eclipse:eclipse command. But it failed.
used the command in cmd mvn clean install -U

The error log is as follows:
Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM Failure to transfer org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:2.0.0.RELEASE from http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/ was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of artie has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:2.0.0.RELEASE from/to artie (http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/): NullPointerException and 'parent.relativePath' points at no local POM pom.xml
Check your internet connection and ensure that you are able to access http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/ with your browser. If yes, check if you need to configure a proxy server. If no, you should contact your internet provider.
see documentation ,for how to configure a proxy server for Maven:
Also delete the .m2 local Directory and run mvn clean install again
UPDATE : Right click on the project --> Maven --> Update project.
It worked for me after deleting the .m2 local Directory and then run mvn clean install again.
I have noticed that the windows system user did not have privileges to create the folders .m2 or any other folder in c:\users\user folder. So I elevated the privileges of the system user as admin and it all worked fine.
On gitlab, my request crashed and i got this error:

I noticed that every mergue request which i push is end with failed because of above problem. Did you had the similiar problem and how can i fix this?
Regards
I had the same issue, when i used the maven:3-jdk-8 in my gitlab-ci.yml for the maven-build.
I changed it to maven:3-jdk-9 and the issue was gone.
I don't know if you're aware, but docker images change from time to time (details here https://hub.docker.com/r/library/maven/tags/). In your pom I can't see where is your surefire plugin specification but most likely you need to update the configuration
<configuration>
<forkCount>0</forkCount>
</configuration>
Since you are using the Docker, Nix systems, and low version 2.21.0 of Surefire, it could be the problem with JDK 1.8 on Debian distributions or absolute paths in Booter JAR manifest.
Both issues have been already fixed in versions 3.0.0-M1 and 3.0.0-M2, but I would recommend you to use the latest version 3.0.0-M3 of Surefire. Setting forkCount to 0 is unrecommended since this is a workaround and may affect loading SPIs and system properties.
See my comment in GitLab CI is failing due to maven-surefire-plugin with VM crash
We fixed many issues like this one in 3.0.0-M4.
If you still have the same issue, ping me here or on GitHub and i will definitely have a look!
