I downloaded wireshark(3.6.3 stable release), and my laptop is MacOS ARM 64-bit.
I want to have my wireshark to show " The Menu" interface.
This image is my wireshark.
my wireshark
And I want to make this to have menu bar on the top.
what I desire
I have read the WireShark documents below, but there was no situation like mine.
https://www.wireshark.org/docs//wsug_html_chunked/ChUseMenuSection.html
How can I control my WireShark to appear the top menu?
Wireshark on macOS should show its menu items in the menu bar at the top of the screen, just like any other macOS application. If it doesn't, that's a bug and should be reported on our issue tracker. The "what I desire" screenshot appears to be from Windows; that OS doesn't have a global menu bar and instead shows application menus at the top of windows.

Background
We are building a cross-platform application with "popup" reminders, they are custom windows/dialogs which uses QWidget.setWindowFlags like this:
self.setWindowFlags(
QtCore.Qt.Dialog
| QtCore.Qt.WindowStaysOnTopHint
| QtCore.Qt.FramelessWindowHint
)
These popups show up on the systems we have tested (MacOS, Lubuntu (LXDE)), even when we switch between different virtual desktops the dialogs are still shown in the current desktop. However:
Problem
When the user is in fullscreen mode on MacOS (Sierra 10.12.6) the dialog instead is shown in the last virtual desktop that was used
Question
How can we show our "popup" dialogs to the user even when the user is in fullscreen mode on MacOS?
The short answer is that you can't and neither can any other app.
Here's why.
The idea is that when you select the fullscreen view for an app, you want to focus exclusively on that app, to the exclusion of all others. So the app not only expands to fill the entire screen, it removes the menu bar and creates its own desktop space.
You can see how this works using Mission Control (by default, swipe up with 3 fingers). You will see all the apps and all the desktops across all your monitors. Next, set an app to full screen and swipe up again. You'll see that the app has a dedicated desktop (which I believe doesn't even have wallpaper).
The bottom line is that macOS fullscreen view does not support pop-ups.
Working on porting a Windows game to Mac using SDL2, and I noticed on the Mac that the menu bar for the game includes a View menu with an item Toggle Full Screen. I'm assuming SDL put it there automatically, as I didn't request it anywhere in my code. However, since the game can run in a window or full screen (and the window is resizable), I figure I should make this menu item actually work somehow.
I know practically nothing about Mac OSX coding (I just followed a tutorial to get my SDL app to build on the Mac side in XCode), and I can't find anything in the SDL documentation about how to respond to, activate, or remove this menu item (or other ones that are greyed out, like the Minimize option in the Window menu). Best I could find online is a reference to it being added in a commit to the SDL code base, but nothing in the commit message about how one is supposed to hook it up to their application code.
So, how do I activate and respond to this menu item (and any other menu items that only show up in OSX builds for that matter, like Minimize and About)? And is it something I can hook up in a cross-platform way via SDL itself, or did SDL add something that I have to deal with using platform-specific OSX code?
I have created a toolbar via IB and have a simple View menu with the "Show Toolbar" and "Customize Toolbar" menu items. Both work exactly as I would like them to.
But, I cannot seem to get the Toolbar Button to show up in the title bar of the NSWindow.
I have tried setting the "Shows Toolbar Button" in IB... no luck.
I have tried calling setShowsToolbarButton in the window controller's awakeFromNib
NSLog(#"showsToolbarButton: %#\n",[[self window]showsToolbarButton]?#"YES":#"NO");
[[self window]setShowsToolbarButton:YES];
NSLog(#"showsToolbarButton: %#\n",[[self window]showsToolbarButton]?#"YES":#"NO");
Again, no luck. Both log entries show "NO" and there is no button.
Has this feature gone away?
If not, what is the proper way to get that button to show up?
I'm building for OSX 10.6 and newer using Xcode 5.0.2 on a machine running 10.9.
Thanks for any/all insights.
The button to hide and show the toolbar was commonly seen as a small capsule button in the upper right corner at least through 10.6 Snow Leopard.
It is no longer present in standard OS X windows.
Ostensibly this is still in Xcode for supporting projects targeting older versions of OS X.
You can probably still create your own button and set its action to the same selectors, but you would likely need to create a custom window using NSBorderlessWindowMask to get the button in the title bar where it used to be.
In its place for the last several OS X versions you will find the full screen button instead.
What is the app's icon that appears to the right of the menu bar called?(like the twitter one)
When you press it, it's usually a drop down menu..
I want to implement a similar one in my mac app.. any help where can i start?
The menu icon is a status item, represented by the NSStatusItem class. See the question How to create a menubar application for Mac and its answers for more info.
I installed SCPlugin on my mac for subversion. It works fine but I don't see the icons show status of my files. And I don't have SCPlugin's options in my right click menu bar. Any idea how to fix these?
Well if you read the website carefully they say it will work but they dont have context menu(menu bar after right click) or badging (icons you are talking about).
